Such a great vest and warm! I typically get mediums across the board with sweaters and jackets. This is a medium, and a little big, but I like it since I'll typically be wearing it with sweaters.

Love the vintage look of this vest! It's made quite well - good seams, snaps and zippers (love the in-pocket zipper for keys!). I bought the petite X-Small and it fits well, even with a sweater underneath. All in all, a great product!

I finally wore out my beloved Bean goosedown vest. Sad. Bought this immediately as the closest approximation, and it was so gorgeous when it came I barely had the tags off before I was off on an unplanned saunter, wearing it. Fits perfectly, layered over a fleece jacket, light sweater, shirt, and my fave Bean silk undies. Toasty. Since it's brand new I can only hope it lasts as well as the old goosedown (stitching finally went after a dozen years, a number of washings/dryings, lots of rain, major climate changes, and near-daily use from October to April, plus that summer in Denali park). So far so good, anyway. Love ya, LLBean.

This is a nice vest. The color blue is pretty. I could tell it would be warm. The only reason I returned it was because it gave me no shape. Length was great but no definition in the waist. If you want a nice looking warm vest this is for you. If you want a warm vest with a flattering shape then I'd suggest some of their other vest. Runs a slight bit big. Great for layering.

Great quality down vest & my first (of 9) LL Bean vest. Thoughtfully placed chest zipper pocket inside along with snap/zipper hand pockets. I'm 5'7", 130 lbs and XS is a looser fit that looks better with hoodies than a fitted sweater. Mid-warmth, so I wear outside in the 30's when I don't want the bulk of a coat.

It's a bit stiff but warm..would have been nice to put flannel or fleese lining around neckline..

I miss shopping in stores, but my old vest was dying and I thought this would be easier than trudging to Maine. Sadly, I didn't check the measurements carefully enough this vest is too long for me, doesn't have a double zipper, and tapers in, presumably favoring women somewhat less curvy than I, much less curvy than some. In the other hand, it is quite warm and I almost considering taking it on my recent journey to Wisconsin instead of my aging and molting LLBean parka.

I almost always wear a small, but this vest was too large. I held it up to another of a different maker, and it's at least a size off. I like the quality and features, so am going to reorder a size smaller.

I expected it to be thicker but it's good. I just have to wear a thick sweater or hoodie under. I got large because I like my vests fitted. My cup size is G, my bust is 34 and my waist is 38. The size large was just right. My photos are apparently too large to upload:(

Love this vest! It runs big. I have a northface vest, size XS that fits me tight so I ordered a small in this vest. Small was way to big , so I ordered an XS which was also too big. I ended up sizing down to XXS. I'm 5'3 117 pounds .

Great, high quality product - but runs VERY large. I am 5'11, 145 and a medium was huge on me, so I returned it.

This is a wonderful vest: cozy and warm and all you could want in a down vest. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it runs SUPER large. I am a fairly average size 45 yr old, 135 lb woman, and bought the small, thinking I want a vest to fit snugly. It was HUGE, so I sent it back and re-ordered the X-small... it is still rather large on me for a vest, but I like it so much I am keeping it. I could fit it over my coat if needed, but I rather wear it under! Just FYI.

Exceptionally nice quality & style but too small. I always wear medium but will reorder a large.

LL Bean is a legacy in our family. The products are always worth the price and they're customer service is bar none. This vest is so warm, durable and well made. I love a clever pocket placement and it did not disappoint. There is a secure, zippered, soft lined pocket within the hand warmer pockets - nice touch! The main zipper is heavy duty and works great. If I had to come up with a complaint, the snaps don't work as easily as I would like because sometimes I use them instead of the zipper since the zipper is not two ways. Maybe they'll get easier over time. I was torn on color and so I bought two!!

This vest is heavily insulated, so it is somewhat thick. I wear it only when I'm going into cold conditions for an extended period, e.g., snow shoeing, under a parka..

I needed a new vest as older llbean down vests I have are showing signs of wear. I like the interior chest pocket which is very difficult to find anymore. I also prefer the front zipper as opposed to snaps. This is why I have kept this expensive vest. Dislike the flashy llbean logo on front chest. Also the brass colored zipper and snaps take away from the look of the vest for me.

Technically not a review for this vest ( though I have at least one). I was looking for a goose down vest, women's, but black, like the brown one I am wearing. This down tek stuff just isn't as warm. That said, my goose down vest must be at least 8 years old because my order history here only goes back that far. The vest, has a full zipper, an inside zippered pocket & 2 hand warmer zippered pockets. I can find nothing comparable to it here now. I am now at a loss to find another, thus old one is in excellent condition, no problem with the heavy duty plastic (?) zippers or anything else. Made in Bangladesh . Sometimes the old classic stuff is better than the new high tech goods. The original is regular large & the tag indicates 80% goose down.

I'm 4'10" 120#s, pear shaped. Bought petite small. Only shorter than the regular by less than inch. The hem still met my finger tips, so below my butt. It was just bulky and not packable. Feels stiff. The quality is excellent. Very warm, probably the warmest. The style just wasn't what I needed. I'm now looking for something more light weight and low profile that I can wear under layers.

Like most LLBean, I find the sizing runs a little big. I'm usually a medium, but I ordered a small and the sizing was right. It's really well made and warm. But here's the problem: there's no defined waist or an option to subtly cinch one in with a drawstring. So I looked like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. If a drawstring were added to the waist, I would repurchase in a heartbeat.

I'd buy this in a minute if it didn't have the logo on front. I like LLBean but not enough to ruin my clothing with free advertising.

I was not happy as it did not fit and I was replacing one I had from LLBean and was the same size. I have returned it
