Fit great, warm without being bulky.

I had one of these vests years ago--so long ago that I don't recall how it ended its life with me. As fall approached this year with the pandemic, i knew the time had come to buy it again. When it arrived, I felt like I was reuniting with an old friend. The new friend has more pockets, though, and a few other features that its predecessor lacked. Just wonderful--and so easy to wear. I am so glad it's back!

I had lost my down vest and been searching for a replacement. I am pleased with this vest: generous for layering but not too big, real down vs. synthetic. The only thing I'm not keen on is the LLBean logo on the front. I prefer logos to be on inside-the-collar tags ;)

I LOVE this vest for so many reasons!! I ordered the blue in Petite XXS and the fit is perfect; I am 5'2" and 102 lbs. The length is perfect, the armholes are just right, the neck is soft and comfortable even when zipped up all the way, the blue color is so pretty and very flattering, and I really like the zippered inside pockets inside the snapped side pockets----what an ingenious idea!! The pockets are large enough to hold useful items and yet, not too big. Highly recommend this warm, beautiful, and comfortable vest!!

Thought it was very pricey but when I received it I thought it was certainly worth every dollar. Was made very well and had a zipper inside pocket for my keys. Love it

I bought this vest to replace an older, smaller sized one that I could no longer zip up comfortably (it must have shrunk LOL). It is warm, cozy comfortable...AND...each side pocket has an inner, zipped pocket which securely hold my wallet and phone (one in each), with NO bulges showing on the outside of the jacket. Plus I can still put my hands in the pockets. Score! Finally a woman's jacket for those of us who don't do handbags. There is also an inner, zippered chest pocket which is ample enough to fit my Galaxy S9. I have been wearing it every day. Thank you to whomever for providing those nice zippered inner pockets! :)

Good buy for the money. Very warming even without sleeves. Lets work be done outside without the bulk of a jacket.

Wonderful basic down vest with simple, classic styling. Lightweight but wonderfully warm. Good pockets. Have worn it almost daily since I got it for Christmas, and I hope it will hold up for some time to come.

First I bought the Nautical Blue and loved it so much I went back for the Black. This is a true black, so many times clothes say black and they end up being more like a matte black. Both of these colors are exceptional, wear them all the time and it has been cold and has been perfect for my walks.This is not a long vest so I don't have to worry about it fitting over and around my hips, just the way I like it. Love the buttons in addition to the zipper (nice touch) and the logo. I was also was very surprised to find a zip up pocket inside the pockets. What was extraordinary was that I could place my cell phone in that pocket and zip and unzip it easily with one hand. Well engineered! Way to go LL Bean!

I bought the color block version of this vest and unfortunately my dog decided to eat it. So, I ordered the navy blue version. This vest is the WARMEST vest I have ever worn. I can throw it on to walk the dogs in virtually any weather and if I button up, I am warm. It is wonderful quality and very convenient if you need to go outside often to walk dogs or run errands or whatever. I leave mine right by the door and I wear it everywhere. This is my absolute favorite vest and I hope my dog doesn't attack this one too. I would not recommend this vest for a warm climate, it is a heavier vest. This is for fall and winter in a colder climate. There are lighter vests available than this for warmer weather. This is the heaviest duty version.

This vest has been a go-to since the day I bought it. It looks great and keeps me warm! Love the buttons for style too. I typically wear an XS at LL Bean, but got this in an XXS. I recommend sizing down. I can wear 2 regular layers or a chunky sweater underneath without any issue. I HIGHLY recommend this vest!

I purchased this vest as an additional layer for a river cruise in Europe. I live in Arizona so I'm accustomed to cold weather and thought this would work. Well to certainly did. It was in the 40's in the day windy and rainy. This vest fit under my coat and kept me warm. I'm very pleased with this vest and would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Great warmth and amazing fit!

This vest is amazing. I just recently purchased it at a store so I was able to try it on. It fits true to size. Ever since I bought it I wear it almost every day. It's definitely my go to in the morning when running out the door. I was happily surprised when I found a zipper pocket on the inside breast portion of the vest. It also has 4 outside pockets. Love this piece so much!

Love this vest and its versatility. Have bought many Bean products over the years and this vest meets the high standard of quality and serviceability. Provides all the warmth I need here in NC, but will be wearing it under my Bean parka for extra warmth in Yellowstone.

I got the Black Vest and it goes well with a simple stripe shirt. It's great for outdoors hiking or afternoon walk with the dog!'

The only downside to this vest is the sizing. I don't consider myself tiny so xx-small petite sounded too small to possibly be right, but alas after getting the x-small petite and deciding it was too big (even with big sweaters underneath) I ended up exchanging it. So SIZE DOWN. But now that I have the right size, it's just amazing! I forgot my winter coat on our road trip over Christmas and with a fleece or sweater underneath this thing stood up to the test. Wind resistant, comfy, pockets for days, it's all I needed over the course of 9 days in NE Ohio winter. I got it in black and so it goes with just about everything I own. Awesome addition to my wardrobe and highly recommend!

Medium swam on me so sent back for a small so I guess I would say runs a bit big. Usually not a small in clothing but fits great and can wear over sweater. Very happy with fit and style of this vest. It is very warm as well. I catch my mom wearing it so maybe I'll get her one.

I absolutely love this puffer vest. It's comfortable, functional, and stylish! The pockets are fantastic, each one has a separate zipper pocket inside. I will say that I found the sizing a bit off from what I generally order from LLBean. I first started with a M and then switched it out for a S. I typically wear a M in the "Katahdin Pullover" and the "slightly fitted Scotch Plaids".

I absolutely love this vest. I really don't care for the current vests that have the shiny material. This vest has a beautiful matte finish. In my opinion it just looks more natural walking the dogs through the woods. So very glad LLBean produced this vest. Would love to see it in a dark olive or dark chocolate brown next year. I'm 4'10 and am stocky build, thanks mom...I fit into a women's petite large very well and can still get a thick sweater on underneath.
