I have not been able to find a vest to replace one I've been wearing for 25 years... until I found this! I love its classic design, it's multiple pockets, etc. It's style is timeless, it's made well and I'm sure will last a long time. It's perfect.

This is my first vest ever & it's perfect! I esp love all the secret pockets. Fits well, gives the appropriate amount of warmth & pairs well with the L.L. Bean flannel tunics!

Cozy warm with easy to access zip pockets. It's my new everyday top layer. Fits as expected. My only wish is that I could get it in orange, green and purple too. New favorite item :)

Best down vest ever! Got this to keep me warm inside (and outside) so that I could turn the heat down. Heating bills too high presently for natural gas and this vest is keeping me comfortable while doing my art work since my arms and hands are free. My studio is not well heated. This downtek vest is long enough to cover my lower back and top of tush!... and keeps my hips covered too! For anyone who gets cold easily this vest will help tremendously. If you are outside and vigorous the vest will give your freedom of movement and keep your body core warm. It is a durable product so well made and washable too.

Love this vest. It keeps me from having to wear a coat. Lots of layers and the vest work out very well.

Bought it as a gift for my girlfriend and she loves it. She says it keeps her warm and it looks great on her too.

Perfect length. Nice neck coverage. Good pockets. Snaps are small for trying to close when outside.

Was looking for a high quality down vest for a while, this is super stylish and I get compliments on it, warm, and I love all the zip pockets (there are hand pockets, and zip pockets inside the hand pockets and a hidden breast pocket so you basically don't even need a wallet or a purse with this vest). 32B/115-120 pounds and just under 5'. Runs big, I typically wear XS Petite in other brands but I needed an XXS Petite in this one so I had to exchange originally.

Significantly less heavy in weight than I had expected (a good surprise). Classic shaping -- not to overtly feminine. Carefully crafted, with handy inside pocket and hand warmers on the side, zippered and buttoned opening. Handsome shade of navy.

I love this vest. It has become my favorite one. It is thick and warm! I get so many compliments when I wear it.

This vest is so comfortable and warm, has the right number of pockets (5!), and looks great. The two side pockets have zipped pockets inside so you can put your hands in without worrying about disturbing anything else in them. It runs a little large. I usually wear a small-medium in tops, but for this was bw xsmall and small. I went with the small to fit a sweatshirt comfortably under it and for more give around the bust.

Very warm and durable. Love the extra pockets! Would love to order in another color!

This is a surprisingly lightweight yet very warm vest and a good value fir the money

I found this to run on the slightly larger side. However I liked the fit because I can layer underneath, but it's not too big that I can't wear it with just a T-shirt. I love that it is a classic shape and style, not too fitted or contoured like a lot of women's outer wear. Love the inner zipper pockets to hold keys when being active.

This vest is great, very warm and smart placement of pockets. An inner side pocket layer is fleece for extra hand warmth! It feels well made and sturdy and I anticipate using it for years. I do wish it came in tall so it covered more of my backside.

The jacket was made for sturdy use. It is very warm for outdoor. Superior quality. It is made for a person of a bigger size . I usually ordered a regular small for all of LL Bean's wears. This one I ordered an extra small petite, and it fits me fine.

One of my favorite podcasts recommended this vest. I never owned an outdoor vest before, but I've been doing a lot of winter hikes lately, and this seemed like a good option for when I need more than a hoodie, but don't want a full duffel coat. I've been wearing it almost every day since it arrived. It's great for walking the dog on a cold but not freezing night. Last weekend we went to the beach, and it was the perfect thing to wear with a hoodie on a winter day at the beach. Warm but not too bulky, with tons of secure pockets. I am short and busty, and I worried this wouldn't fit me, but it zips without a problem, even when I'm wearing a thick layer beneath it. I look forward to wearing it for many years.

This vest is very light but warm. I like wearing it with the Funnel Neck sweat shirts also from LL Bean. It has plenty of pockets for my belongings! I'm so glad I purchased it!!

I love this vest. I wanted it for over my clothing for a little extra warmth. It runs big which is great for what I want. To wear it over a single layer I would probably go down a size. It is warm and much thinner (not to puffy) then I expected which I also like.

Love it! This fab vest is comfortable, warm, versatile, durable, and has 5 pockets (that's right). It's awesome. The snaps add to the finished look and give just the right amount of pop. I'm convinced that down is warmer than primaloft and feels cozier. I think this vest fits about a half-size too large, but it doesn't look too big. I think a smaller size would be on the edge of too small (and wouldn't allow for layers). I also have a Mountain Classic down jacket that is the bomb. I love this line.

The quality of LL Bean's clothing remains excellent. This vest fit perfectly and was exactly what I hoped it would be.

I ordered this vest to wear under the Primaloft Waterproof Packable Jacket when I feel like a need a little more warmth. This vest is so comfortable! I have even worn it sitting around the house. The pockets are such that I can carry my phone and/or wallet in a secure zippered pocket and still have warm pockets for my hands. The vest appears to be made really well. I did not size down because I want to be able to wear hooded sweatshirts under it with plenty of room to move. But it still looks good over a fitted sweater. My husband ending up ordering the men's version of this vest. Highly recommend!
