It mirrors the military issue sweater I had to a tee!

I own this sweater in 3 colors. Obviously I love it. !!!! It is very comfortable and flattering!

A little scratchy because of the wool, but very warm. I wasn't sure if I'd like the patches until I tried it on. It's actually flattering, and I always get compliments when I wear it.

Beautiful sweater, excellent quality and very warm! My husband and I both ordered one and is now our favorite sweater. L.L. Bean is the best!

I bought the burgandy-ish red color and love the way it fits. Sleeves are perfect length and is warm and cozy.

Perfect for outdoor activities in the PNW. It's cold and damp here much of the year and this wool sweater is perfect for keeping the chill off. It feels like a hug and has become my dog walking and barn-going uniform. True to size, trim but not clingy fit (Size M, 5'5", 160#). I prefer to wear a thin base layer underneath and a waterproof shell over (if rainy). The grey is pretty, and I'm very tempted to pick up another color.

I've been eyeing these for years, and finally caved. Of course I love it! Ordered Medium this time, because in my experience Bean's tops run a little small. Besides, I wanted the extra room. It's just perfect.

Love this sweater I bought a XL in grey! perfect fit, great color, SUPER WARM, beautifully made! The length is great it hides my belly!! This is my go to sweater for everything! Hiking, camping, hanging around the house, fall yard work, or going out to do errands! The patches on the sleeve made a little crinkle noise at first but the material completely softened and the noise went away after a couple of wears. Love love love this! I know this sweater will last me forever!

I am not a sweater girl at all - flannel is my favorite - but I wanted something with a little more heft that I could wear while doing my waterfowl surveys on non-frigid days. This is it! Warm enough but not bulky and restrictive, and it keeps out the damp.

This is a nice warm merino wool sweater. It has shoulder patches and patches on the arms. It is well made and will last for many years. It is a true "classic". It does run a little small. I'm planning on purchasing another one in a different color and will go up one size.

I love the look of this beautiful classic sweater. I hesitated to order it because it didn't come in petite sizes but took a chance. I'm glad I did because even though it's a little long it fits pretty well. The gray is really a nice rich color. I highly recommend this sweater if you're looking for classic warmth.
