I bought two wool sweaters, and the OTHER one, a Ragg sweater, fit great even though it was also a size L! But THIS "commando"sweater fits really wierdly and unflattering. I had liked the look/style/color of it on-line, but the fabric used for the patches and the fit of it all made it ugly. So back it went.

The color was nice. The sweater was itchy, which I knew it might be as some of the reviews mentioned that. I assumed I'd just wear a long sleeve T under it. But it had a very strange fit at the shoulders - I don't know if it was the pattern of the knit or due to the fabric panels. The sleeves kind of gathered and poofed out where a shoulder seam would be. Also, I didn't care for the fabric that the panels were made of - it didn't seem to go with the rest of the sweater.

Thought I was really going to like this but ended up being just a tad too manly for me. It also wasn't very comfortable or cozy.

Love the style of this sweater but when I tried it on was quite uncomfortable on my skin. I don't always wear long-sleeved tops under sweaters so it couldn't work for me. Quality great, color beautiful, warm wool...but itchy. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Very itchy and rough on skin! Had to return it. It's stiff too.

I really wanted to love this sweater, but I'm returning it. The sleeves are about 2 inches too long, and the body is about 4 inches too long. I am 5'3.5", weigh about 108, and usually fit a small nicely. This sweater fit well in my chest (36A bra size) & shoulders, but was too long in sleeves and torso. The hem nearly covered my butt, which made moving around a problem in that the sweater rode up on my body with every motion. I was continuously pulling it back into place. The weight of the wool fabric was nice, but it resulted in a rather stiff drape. For a taller woman, the length might not be a problem.

Just not good, was scratchy and bulky, uncomfortable to wear. I sent it back.

I bought this sweater in black and I've never had a sweater that collected dog hair and lint like this one does. I'm embarrassed to wear it.

Itches like crazy, to the point of being uncomfortable, I'll never wear it again.

I returned it because the fit was still large in the shoulders after trying both a medium and a small. It was a beautifully made sweater.

the wrong jacket came to me with lamband that just not right for me. just cotton was what i thought was arriving

Sweater was as most reviews said , extremely itchy( and I can wear wool) oddly slim fitted yet roomy and long -combo for me and extremely stiff molded shoulders and elbows- bummed love the look of it but returned it

I actually ordered this sweater a while ago but just started to wear it. I always like to have an oversized wool sweater for layering. At first, the sweater was great. Large, roomy, and warm -- it was just what I expected. And then -- I washed it -- according to the instructions. Disaster. First, it shrunk at least one entire size, but not in proportion. It lost about a third of its original length. It could not be reshaped or stretched out. And then...the loosening of the wool fibers. I combed it out for about an hour and wool was still coming off to it. At this point, I am not even sure I can wear it. Horror, disappointment...what a mess. I expected more from an LLBean purchase. What happened to your quality? I depended on LLBean washable wool for a sweater that I could have as my warm "go to". Sigh...
