Purchased this in the Mansfield Ma store in the discount rack. What a deal. I have other sweaters from LL. Bean and knew I couldn't go wrong. As it turns out it is my favorite go to sweater. Not only for layering but to wear it on it's own. The color blue, which I have, looks great with blue jeans. This is a very comfortable sweater with an excellent fit. Thanks, LL. Bean!!

Much better than I expected. Excellent handling of the collar;nice soft and comfortable. A very good companion to my chamois shirt.

A neighbor had one and I liked it so I ordered one. Warm and fashionable. Comfortable fleece lined collar and pockets. It's about all I need in the 'frigid' South Carolina winters.

During the winter months, my wife and I have different ideas as to just what is a comfortable temperature to maintain in the house. She likes the thermostat set a bit cooler that I like. Now, when I wear my Waterfowl Sweater Vest around the house, we are both happy. I've even taken to wearing it while driving on longer road trips. It certainly beats wearing a heavier coat for extended periods of time. (Even if the coat is an LL Bean coat)

Received the vest as gift and have worn it more or less continuously! XXL is great fit for me. Excellent warmer while home heating is on energy saving mode. Also perfect as layering item with windproof or thermal outer garment. Warm in spite of dampness from exertion. It's the most used sweater so far this winter! Likely to go for a second so I have one when the other is being cleaned.

My husband liked his brown vest so much, he wanted it in blue. The vest is comfortable, looks great and keeps him warm. Nobody in the marketplace offers the quality and value like LL Bean.

I'm 6'2" and bought the large. It fits perfectly. Keeps me warm without overheating. Plan on using it to play golf on cold days.

This was even nicer than the photo's and the quality is superb. Don't put anything you want to keep in the pockets, it will fall out, but it is totally worth the price!

This vest met my every expectation. Quality, style and fit are great. I've got a larger waist and the XXL was plenty roomy. Only thing is that the wrong color was shipped. I ordered it in Lodin and it arrived in Brown in a bag labeled Lodin. I was disappointed but kept it anyway because it is so nice!

Fits true to size, but stretches. Good for warmer climates for indoors and out, since we don't heat our house above 70.

The fit is good, not too long for a short person. It feels like a quality constructed vest. If I would say anything negative would be that I'm not sure I really like the collar. It does fold down nicely when wearing a shirt though. Overall I am very pleased.

Thick and warm...this vest sweater was a Christmas gift and was well received. It is handsome and warm and the fit is right.

Writing a review that covers some ground that I like to see answered in a review: I recieved this as a gift probably 3-4 years ago. This has been worn frequently as it is a good fit and in the navy blue color complements a lot of shirt/pants colors. This item makes me feel very comfortable. It has held up well over the years and has been used as top layer on mild/cool weather and as mid layer when it gets colder. Not very bulky, but also not tissue thin either. I have read comments by others regarding the collar, mainly commenting that it has been hard to get it to lay down. I have found that the design seems to be a compromise between having a collar that hugs the neck when used as a mid layer and one that can be folded down, with some effort, when used as a top layer. I too had some difficulty with the collar, but after several wearings it has taken a 'set' and folds down where I want it. On the issues I most want to see in a review, there are some specifics as to how this item wears. I have a little wear on the zipper, kind of a very short tear between the male bottom and the zipper fabric, which is to be expected considering the number of times I wear it. The zipper is still fully functional and will probably last another 2 or more years before it becomes an issue. The knit is holding up very well and has not snagged or torn. The pockets are roomy and have held anything from spare change to car keys to nails and screws without wearing through or tearing. To conclude, I can recommend this item no more highly than to state that I am probably going to order another one whether this one lasts another couple years or not, because I like how it looks and feels.

I thoroughly enjoy this sweater. Well tailored and sharp style. it is very comfortable to wear. I would recommend to anyone.

This sweater vest is very well made of excellent material. Color and appearance are great. The tall heavy collar,however, does not want to stay folded down and is a considerable nuisance rubbing on cheeks and chin of some one my size. I regretfully had to return it, since I wanted to use the garment to stay warm indoors working at my desk.

My husband had 2 of these in a larger size. He lost weight so I ordered new ones. He loves to wear them whenever we go out either to dinner or just shopping. The 2 large size ones we gave to our son and he loves them.

My husband likes it, but is not much of a sweater or vest wearer. He didn't want to get it muddy, so he wears it with his nicer work shirts instead of duck hunting. I think it looks good on him.

I have had this vest for several years and it is still great - warm, stylish, versatile and comfortable. Especially great for travel, spiffy with khakis or jeans and probably fine for duck hunting. If it were lined and had an inside pocket it would be fantastic !! But even at $70 is is a great garment and I am ordering another, just can not decide which color!

Bought size small for my husband who is 5'9" and weighs 143 lbs. Wears 14.5/33 shirts. Vest fits great and he loves it.

I am a lover of vests and this is the premier vest for warmth, comfort, and lovely style. The pockets are lined with a soft fabric and the collar lies well against the neck. Of all the vests I have worn this is the best.

Ordered a large vest - normally wear large (maybe slightly bigger than a large) excellent fit. Material is heavy and warm and more substantial than polar fleece. I also have the sweater and I find myself reaching for the vest for work, trips to town for errands and layering under my camo jacket.

This vest is soft, flexible and warm enough for my needs. I like the length of it and the pockets are convenient.

Comfortable, warm, not too heavy. Feels good on, soft, not scratchy. I really like this vest.
