This is a quality product that is thick, warm, and rustically styled as you would expect from an outdoor LL Bean product. A good value for the cost.

I bought one of these vests for my husband a year or two ago. He wears it much of the time in cold weather, so I decided to get him a second one in a different color. Well designed, nicely made. If I were wearing it, I'd be very pleased to have the pockets. The XL fits him fine. (his usual size).

Warm but not too warm. Breathes. Not itchy. Very stretchy, helps with life, especially fishing and hunting but also picking up kids or cases of beer. The lined pockets are terrific and are close enough to your belly button that they don't flare out on the sides and make you look fat(ter) and they are toasty warm. It runs big. I normally wear a xxl or xl long but the xl fits perfectly. Remember the stretch factor. I am 6'1 and 265 with a long torso. A 48-50 long in suits. This is a great sweater vest...

SOO BEAUTIFUL size runs good size xxl nice color too great for work or play he eats too many cookies so hides some parts oh well what is a grandma to do

As with all Bean products the quality is #1. Should get many years of use from a well thought out product. Bought both colors...

Sweater vest runs a bit large. I got an extra-large first but then it was too large and exchanged it for a large which fits perfectly.merino wool is a bit rough but still is very comfortable and feels sturdy. I liked it so much that I ordered two.

This may prove to be the best purchase I have made in a long time.

Lives up to it's description, great fit, bought it for this winter but the weather has allowed me to wear it early and it is just what I needed. Will wear it under a winter coat later.

This vest (my second) is now one of my go to items in my wardrobe. It is well made and extremely comfortable, exemplifying LLBean quality. Perfect sizing and I like the vest style because it is not too restricting. Perfect for our business casual office or outside on cool nights or chilly days.

Great sweater/vest. Perfect to wear under an outer wear shell for all type outdoor activities. Great to wear alone on cool days. Great fit.

I bought two of these for my husband. The Loden (very dark olive) is my favorite! The brown one is a nice "tweed"-looking brown. He wears XL in some things, and XXL in others. At first, I ordered an XXL. It was huge! Exchanged for an XL, which is a little loose, but I guess it's because this is an outerwear item, not a standard pullover sweater vest. Ordered another one b/c I have a hard time finding full-zip sweater vests for him. These are such great quality, they truly are a bargain at this price for what you get, and compared with other brands. My husband wears these like he would any other shirt/vest combo, leaving the vest on all day indoors. He does not look as though he's playing "let's pretend I'm going hunting"........the photos accentuate the shoulder area, but in real life, the shoulder areas are just woven in a different weave, and it looks like a fashion detail rather than a duck hunter's vest. Highly recommend this item.

I love my vest but sorely disappointed I've not been able to order a couple more....LLBean seems to be chronically out of stock....mine is threadbare and it's definitely time for an upgrade.....but when, oh when?

My husband wanted a sport vest to wear instead of jackets and this vest is perfect. It looks great on him, has wonderful rich color, goes with light and dark slacks and jeans. He wears it to movies and church, and it looks sexy and handsome!!!

This is a well made, warm, and generously proportioned sweater. The color and weight are perfect. If you want a warm and presentable sweater vest, this one will suit you.

I was tired of the "fleece" sleeveless vests that sometimes can be too warm and after a while look shabby. This vest has a great look, a nice fabric feel and is warm without being bulky. The contrasting trim is a nice feature as well.

So excited to receive my beautiful fleece vest. Fits great, and so soft! Recommend highly. I may even buy it in other colors, too.

This is the second vest I bought for my dad. I got the first one several years ago, and he still wears it, but it looks so nice I got him another so he could have one "good" one and one to wear when doing chores. The sweater is well made, looks nice, and the leather trim is a nice touch.

I bought this to wear underneath a waxed coat that doen't have a liner. It is lightweight and well fitted. The merino wool knit becomes warmer as you wear it. Also looks good alone. Going to buy another one.

As with all L.LBean apparel that I have, this vest is well made and exceeded my expectations. It's warm, thick and comfortably. Hats off to L.LBean for consistently providing such good quality products and service.

The vest is smart looking and fitting and made with quality. It is very comfortable for casual wear and also looks great when "dressing up" a notch or two.
