Great looking sweater and very warm - love it! It does seem to run a tad big, but otherwise it's great.

This sweater is great for most mornings here in Austin. It makes great layering for the days when more is needed. The wool is comfortable and the fit is great.

This is a sharp looking & versatile sweater. It is nice enough that I wear it to work with an open neck shirt and slacks & on the week-ends I wear it with bluejeans. It is very comfortable and warm enough that just above Wash. DC I can go across the street for lunch & not have to put on a heavy coat. I like dressing light but warm. This is a much better product than what I have found in the other stores at the local malls.

I've been wearing this sweater as part of my layering system when duck hunting. The merino wool and windproof liner keeps me warm without adding much bulk (compared to some of the big coats some people wear). I wear this with Under Armor Cold Gear, a Kenyon Strata lightweight top, and a camp fleece jacket. Keeps me warm from around 30 degrees while sitting still waiting for the ducks. Also, it is a very handsome sweater that can be worn around town on cold days. The sizing for me was exactly right, not too big and not too small.

I was very impressed when I saw it in hand. The sweater is thick and very warm. My wife says it looks great on me. I think it does too. I might even buy another in a differnet color!

The sweater was perfect! My husband who is challenging to buy for also loved the sweater and he looked quite handsome in it! A perfect Christmas gift for him. (of course I would have liked a lower price, but it was worth the satisfaction)

This is the 3rd waterfowl sweater that I have received. It is a great fitting, true to size sweater. I typically wear a 17 1/2 -35 shirt and the XL fit perfectly. Great sweater, good quality and price.

This is a beautiful sweater that fits great. Nice rich color with leather around the collar and zipper. Great warm sweater for the winter season any man would love to have.

I received this sweater for Christmas and could not be more pleased. It seems to be size specific, is incredibly warm and looks great. It easily could be your go-to sweater for a casual nice-dress evening. Initially, there was some concern that it would be scratchy if worn without a shirt underneath. But after wearing it for several hours without a shirt, that first concern was a false alarm. I especially like the collar, it is soft and warm on your neck like a wool scarf. The zipper is a little stubborn to close fully but not enough to cause me to return it.

My 20 year old son is a skier and needed a warm sweater and requested a 1/4 zip neck. We ordered a medium for him (5'9" 150 lbs.) and it fits well, looks warm and he likes it.

More substantial and warmer than the cotton items in the chain stores. More body, won't stretch out and sag at the wrist and waist bands. A quality feel in the neck lining. The zipper is more durable and easily operable. Genuine wool, feels like it will last for many years, unlike the woven cottons. Colors are more permanent, won't get that "washed out" look.

This is my husband's favorite sweater. Whenever he gets a day off from work this is what he puts on. Fits true to size and is nice and warm because of the wool. I bought it as a Christmas gift in 2010. And he told me he wanted another one in case he wears out the first one.I doubt that he will wear it out anytime soon but I just ordered another one for Christmas 2011 in the blue. Great sweater!

Being an outdoor kind of guy who appreciates quality clothing, especially wool, this was the perfect choice for our employer's Christmas gift - he has already worn it and loves it - he is about 6' tall and in shape and the size large fit him nicely. He will get a lot of use out of this sweater - and it looked very nice on him too. The only comment that I would make is that the color is not a true loden green- it tended to be "brownish -greenish" but it still is a very handsome and well made sweater.

Looks great with lots of compliments. I'm 5'-9"/150; medium fits nicely overall w/ comfortable loose fit in torso; length of body and sleeves perfect. Very well made and wool is not rough or itchy. Would highly recommend.

I might be the only one, but I actually wear this sweater during late season duck hunts in the salt marshes. I like to wear wool so that even if I get soaked I don't have to end the hunt. it's held up for about 3 seasons now and looks like new. It's the warmest mid-layer I own and has a thick tight weave so I'm never worried about it getting ruined in the marsh.

Just as the leaves were beginning to fall in earnest, my wife cleaned out my closet, sending two of my favorite sweaters to a donation box where they'd get a second life. Both sweaters still fit me, both were warm, but she didn't want me 'living' in the same couple of sweaters until the leaves came back. She found this waterfowl sweater in the catalog and ordered it for me online. I was skeptical about the zipper neck (I'm generally a crewneck kinda guy), but the day the package arrived, I opened the bag and felt the sturdy weave and the soft cloth at the neck and throat. A few hours later the dog needed to be walked, and the sweater was right there so I pulled it on. The thermometer said it was 40, but I didn't feel cold at all. And I wore it again this morning for the dog's walk only the temperature was 26. I didn't register the difference except on my nose and ears. This is fast becoming my favorite sweater. I'm thinking about getting a second one.

This is a great sweater, well made and warm, however it is very full cut and the small is to big for me. Thanks for LLBean's great return policy.

By far, the warmest sweater I've ever owned. Windproof and water resistant, for layering or by itself, a must have. As with all "Real" wool, you have to take care in washing it. Also not as breathable as I would have expected, but that's probably due to the wind-stop material. Can be a bit scratchy, but after all, it is wool. Highly recommended for anyone who likes to wear wool, and wants a wind-proof piece of outerwear.

I usually wear this sweater with my LL Bean ultralight down jacket. Even though its sleeves are bulky my arms do not feel constricted in this jacket's sleeves. I have worn them in temperatures ranging from 25 - 40 degrees F. One odd thing about this sweater's wind proof lining is the crackling sound the lining makes when I move. Might be a problem for a hunter who is trying to be silent stalking the prey
