I love Merino wool. I love thick Merino wool sweaters even more.This sweater was soo lovable in the store that I ordered a second one in another color when I got home. All the quality you expect from LLBean. Would highly recommend. This is a heavy gauge knit that looks like it will stand the test of time. Very comfortable.

The sweater was as I hoped it would be when I ordered it. Fits good and is a good warm sweater. So far it appears well made.

I'm very pleased with this wool sweater. The quality of materials and attention to detail are both excellent. This sweater is rugged enough for camping/hiking/etc. and good looking enough for dressier occasions. This has become my go-to sweater this winter and I expect it will be for years.

This sweater is amazingly warm, heavy weight material keeps you warm on those cold winter days. This is my first LLBean purchase and after receiving my items I can tell it won't be my last.

This is a great 100 percent wool sweater. Extremely warm and comfortable and fits true to size. I liked this purchase so much that I bought this sweater in 3 of the 4 colors offered. Excellent purchase.

This is a very rugged but extremely handsome garment. It was for my husband and he liked it very much. It seems to be very well made; a quality item.

I purchased two of these sweaters to stay warm while boating in the Puget Sound. Weather was in the 40s with 20 knot winds and I felt like I was still in San Diego in the sun. Kept me warm in and out of the wind and rain. These sweaters will be perfect for early morning fly fishing on San Diego Bay in the winter.

I bought this for my husband and Christmas time. He loves L.L. Bean but I wasn't sure about the sweater. It was a bit pricey so I figured it must be good. He absolutely loves it he won't take it off

It's cut a bit large, like most LL Bean items. Definitely order your normal size as wool can be very warm and hard to move around in if it's tight. It's extremely well made and heavy. If you're looking for for a wool sweater like that don't hesitate

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He absolutely LOVES this sweater. He was looking for a warm sweater to replace a wool sweater that I have threatened to burn. Luckily he is in love. He is 6'3" and the large fit him well. The sweater is larger than the henley as I purchased a large in that sweater and have to exchange it for the extra large. This sweater looks great on him and fits well in the arms and body. I highly recommend it!

This is an awesome sweater. I have worn it bird hunting in the upper Midwest under a vest in 20*-30* weather and have been perfectly warm. It runs a little big, but it is perfect for putting extra layers on underneath. Not only is it great in the fields, but looks good on the weekend or in the office on a cold day. A really great product from LL Bean.

Wool is my favorite cold weather cover. It breathes and insulates. I walked for one hour in sleet and snow and had a perfect temperature. The wool does not get soaking wet and lose warmth like down. I wear my Barbour waxed jacket over it and am comfortable. Super product with old fashion ruggedness. This is a sweater that will last for years.

I bought this for my son to wear to work. He works inside and outside during the winter and was really excited to try it out.

I was in the woolen business for many years and appreciate fine wool. I love this thick soft wool, which is so warm and fits me perfectly. I bought the sweater in Navy, and if next year, you offered it in some shade of maroon, I would definitely buy another one. The price compares favorably to sweaters at substantially higher prices.

This says it all. The wool is very soft and giving resulting in an extremely comfortable sweater which I wear indoors and out.

I had been looking for a good wool sweater to wear under my jacket during duck season and this fit the bill. It's very warm (even when wet) and a bit scratchy but not too bad. The only downside is it runs big. I'm 6'2" 230 and the Large is too big for me.

This is a really high quality sweater. I am a US Army soldier and avid outdoor sports enthusiast, and these days its tough to find really good quality sweaters but this one is definitely worth the high price. Fits well with room for layering. Very warm.. could even be used in place of a jacket on some days. I wish L.L. Bean would make all of their clothing to this quality.. as they used to!

As stated, this is an excellent quality sweater. I purchased a XXL tall, and it fit light a XXXL regular. I expected to squeeze into it and it fit perfectly, ...... lucky for me since it is not offered in a 3xl. Only wishing it was made in the U.S.A.!!!

Received the sweater and headed to Wisconsin with it. Very warm and comfortable. When i got home, I was glad I was wearing it because weather was cold and wet. Perfect sweater for the climate. Good fit and quality. The color matched the website.

This sweater will keep you warm. It's made from heavy wool, but it breathes enough to be comfortable when you are wearing it inside. It's cut loose to allow you to move. It is long and and goes below your waist. The collar stands up and covers your neck.

Have one of these in chocolate brown and after my Irish fisherman sweater, it's my second favorite. It's much dressier looking than many wool sweaters and pairs well with khakis and a button-down shirt. Plus, there's a nice lining on the neck and the piping that makes it very comfortable.
