Commando Henley Sweater. I bought both Black and Brown, 1 each. The quality and fit are exactly what I was hoping for. I bought according to the LLB sizing chart and it worked out perfectly. Living in Upstate NY, these are perfect for our cold weather. Very happy with my purchase.

The commando sweater is made with quality. My husband was pleased with the color and fthe fit.

I purchased this sweater for my husband. The fit is very nice, and the fabric is a warm wool blend. I got him the navy blue one, and it looks so good, I would like to get him the black one now. The fit is generous but not bulky... the sleeves are also long and sufficient. He said it wasn't itchy with a tee shirt underneath, but he'll most likely be wearing it layered over a turtleneck.... that's what he usually does. Haven't washed it yet, as he only wore it once. Leaving for Lake Tahoe today for a week vacation, so he'll see how warm it keeps him.

I had to travel to the East Coast this week and it was 18 degrees when I woke up yesterday and I was glad to have this sweater. My wife also loves the way it looks and that helps too. I might get another color soon as I am really liking this purchase.

Finally after 7 years wore out my old sweater. Ordered a replacement same color,same sweater. When you find a good sweater why change. Great fit.

Great, fit, style, warmth and durability.

Quality is fantastic for this sweater. Large was perfect fit for me with turtleneck shirt underneath. I will be ordering another in the black color. Buttons were securely sewn on, no loose ends.

Purchased this sweater because it is wool. Used on a elk hunt at 11,500 ft in elevation and also to be used for fly fishing trips to NY in November as well as Colorado mule deer and Michigan deer seasons. The first night, after hiking 6 miles onto the Flat Tops Mountains, temp dipped to a low of -2 degrees. We had weather reports stating it would only get as low as 20. I slept in merino wool base layer, a mid layer and then this sweater as my outer layer. Then climbed into a 26 degree seeping bag. It was cold and I only slept about 2 hrs from 9pm to 6:30 am but my core stayed warm and I crawled out of the tent at daylight and started a fire. The sweater was too warm to wear wit ha jacket while hunting because of the amount of walking. But with just a base layer it was great. For sitting still it is perfect. It was great sitting around the fire in the evening and the morning drinking coffee. Love the sweater and hope to get several years of use out of it.

Hasn't been that cold to wear yet, overall fit is great

I liked the color (grey) but my wife thought it looked small on me. So, I returned it. The sweater was well made and the wool wasn't scratchy.

An honest utility sweater. I am sure that the cotton patches will ensure a long garment life.

I have bought two of these sweaters. I like the military styling. Even better I like how warm the sweater is. Live in the mountains of northern Arizona and it does get cold here. All I need is a T shirt and this sweater to keep comfortable.

Just came back from Ireland. This was a great sweather for trip and I got a lot of use out of it. Fit well. Using this with several layers made for comfortable journies in the 30-50 F range. Very happy with purchase.

warm fits nicely , after cleaning held form

Pretty much exactly what I expected. I'm a little long in the arms and torso, sometimes I buy XLT, but not necessary with this item. Heavy, nice and warm. Color is perfect, not a green, but an olive drab. Great sweater for a cold winter day.

As an LL Bean customer for decades, I can truthfully say that, as to be expected from LL Bean, this is another truly high quality item, which is why I gave it 5 stars. There are, however, two things I would like to share about this sweater. First, it is quite long in the body and sleeves. I wear a 36" dress shirt sleeve and this sweater could easily fit a 38" sleeve. The sleeves, however, are designed to be rolled up, which solves this potential problem and it looks just fine. Next, the color I ordered is described as "Deep Woods Green Heather", and unless I'm suddenly color blind, mine is definitely brown (with a slight greenish tinge). Again, this is not a negative for me. The color looks fine and more classy than an obvious green or brown. I simply wanted to tell everybody not to expect it to be clearly green in color. Don't let these two points stop you. Buy it and enjoy! It's great and worth every penny.

I love this sweater and wear it a lot more than I thought I would. It fits and looks great, whilst keeping me warm. It's perfext for lounging around or going about your day. I've yet to wear it whilst in my garage workshop, but i'm sure it would do the job. I couldn't ask for more in a sweater and you cannot beat the price.

This may be the nicest article of clothing I have ever had. I am thin and struggle to find things that fit right and this fits me perfectly. It is the softest Merino wool I have ever felt. It has been washed 3 times in my machine on cold delicate with zero problem. I lay it flat to dry and it's still perfection. I get a lot of compliments for an old guy when I wear this.

Warm, fits perfect, and looks great. Actually bought more colors because it is so perfect.
