Why would anyone make a shoe with a slick bottom? I guess because they weren't going to wear it. If only they'd put the same bison leather on the bottom that's on the top it would have been fine. Wonderful feeling shoe, loved the bison & my husband would have kept it & would have loved it for the shoe itself felt great. But o, so slick!

Quality was great as expected, but non-grip sole was too slippery for my elderly father.

Shallow slipper made it impossible to put in an arch support that was needed. Also decided they were to slick in the soles for safety.

This is my second pair. The exterior held up well. The interior is extremely disappointing with the material coming out and not holding up well over a 2 year period of which they probably have a year's worth of use inside only.

Not the right slipper for a big bulky guy like me.

Beautiful slipper, well made. The problem is with the sole. Too smooth, no grip. Made walking on a rug slippery.

Excellent craftsmanship but sizing is terrible and the bottom has a very issues with traction. No traction at all and easy to slip in any surface. The sizing doesn't take into account the amount of space the shearling lining causes them to be extremely tight. Purchase a size bigger than shoes I wear and they are still tight! Hope they stretch a bit.

I had the Wicked Good slippers for about 5 years (2 pair). I decided to upgrade to these, and I'm not super happy. The shearling is less plush, and the lack of sole turns out to equal lack of structure. Like another reviewer, one of my slippers is rolling over since my right ankle slightly rolls out. The Wicked slippers never did. I can only guess that the rubber sole keeps them straight. These "double-sole" slippers have all of the structure of a sock. Plus, I have to be careful not to step outside. Even a deck gets wet from the rain, and the leather is too fragile. I never thought this would be an issue until I found myself considering it every time I need to take the trash out or get the mail. Hmmm. Still, they are nice slippers that look pretty. Worth 180% of the Wicked Good slippers? Not a chance. Next time I will get the Wicked Good in Bison leather ;-). Reconsider.

Unfortunately the leather cord that runs the length of the slipper and is used for adjusting the fit is bare at the point that the slipper covers the upper foot. Therefore the shearling lining doesn't protect that part of the foot and the abrasion caused by the cord is irritating and eventually painful. Returning these beautiful slippers for a refund.

I am a BIG LL Bean fan. I buy LL Bean Slippers for my husband all the time. The bottoms of these slippers are so slippery, my husband tripped the second he put them on. I exchanged for a pair with a rubber bottom.

Used to love these slippers. I'm on my 4th pair. However, The last pair I had lasted just under 1 year before the shearling/fur lining began to come out in pieces and clumps on both slippers. Customer service as excellent as always, and replaced them. But even the replacement pair is a disappointment. Not sure if they have changed factories, sourced different suppliers for the materials, but they are not nearly the same quality as ones from just 4 or 5 years ago. Everything changes I know, and they're can be many factors that a product quality changes over any length of time, just can't rely on these slippers which had been one of my favorite styles for the winter.

Wonderful construction but sloe is so highly polished with no traction it presents a slip and fall hazard on most surfaces including carpet and hard wood floor. I could not wear them around the house. Not good for older people with tripping or balance issues. I felt like I was skating on ice. I returned them immediately for credit. I highly recommend your safety people take a look at this.

This slipper was purchased for my husband. He really likes the look of the slipper; however, when he went to walk in these, it was like walking on ice. The bottoms had no grip at all, as if there was a glaze on the bottom. I think there is a high risk for falling. These were returned immediately.

My husband loved the slippers; however, he did not feel safe walking around in them. They are like walking on ice. Very, very slippery bottoms. Be careful!

I wear a 13W in most ALL shoes. These came NOWHERE near fitting my feet. The online sizing chart said they would be the size for me...NO WAY!!!

These slippers are absolutely gorgeous and my husband loved everything about them - except for the sole, which is as slick as glass. We were so disappointed to have to return them. I'm hopeful the design team will take note and figure out a way to change the sole while keeping all that is good about these slippers (which is everything except the sole).

I bought these as a gift for my husband. We've been Bean customers for years and we're both very disappointed in the thin shearling lining in these slippers. He's only worn them for two weeks and he can already feel the bottom. The outer part of the slipper is incredibly well constructed so it's a shame the lining doesn't match.

We've ordered slippers for my dad before from LL bean and they've always been 11D. These are at best size 9 but no where on the slipper is size indicated, only on the box. Which says 11D. Now I have to pay 6.50 more to return an item because someone at LL BEAN put wrong size slipper in box

While they are nice looking , good fit , the bottom are as slippery as walking on ice. No traction on the bottom. We have hardwood floors and my husband got up from the chair after first trying them on and almost broke his neck. They are a accident waiting to happen. Returned and ordered a pair with a sole .

Slick bottom make them a hazard to my aging husband's health. The ones with crepe or rubber soles are much safer.

Flat footed is very uncomfortable. Somehow it feels like front is higher than heel. Needs some support and heel. Too bad. Best looking slipper but it went right to goodwill.

Wore out my women's pair purchased years ago. Women are no longer offered. Makes me mad! Yes, I'd recommend these, but to men only. Very, very disappointed.

I wouldn't trust LL BEAN reviews. They wouldn't post mine as I cited safety concerns for this product that they don't want potential buyers to know about.
