Great service. Almost great product. I wish the lining on the inside sole was one piece. My foot stuck to it and lifted it up, creating a wrinkle. I smoothed it out and now a wear a sock.

These are very nice looking slippers and appear to be high quality. My only negative finding so far is that the soles are very, very slippery but I solved that problem by using sandpaper on them; problem solved and they still look nice.

Excellently made slippers but both my wife and I took bad falls taking one step out the door onto a snowy, icy surface. In my case, I took one step letting our dog out and literally flew in the air hurting my ribs. I've an avid cross-country skier and very active but I had no chance to cushion my fall. PLEASE, PLEASE NEVER take one step outside your home in this slippers. Don't go outside to pick up the mail, let the dog out, etc. when wearing these slippers. Wish they came with safety traction on the bottom.

Needed almost no break-in. Soft and flexible hide. Very comfortable.

These slippers are well-made with quality materials. The all-leather construction is much more healthy for feet that fleece-lined versions. The double leather sole is very comfortable. I love them!

This is a comfortable, durable slipper. This is an indoor only slipper, IMO. The leather sole is great indoors, not outdoors. They are expensive, but you get what you paid for. Well worth the price.

Would have been great except for a complete lack of arch support. Starting hurting my feet after several days of wear. Removed the "half" insole and put in a spinco orthotic and they feel great. Would buy again but it would be better if I didn't have to buy the arch supports.

Very nice slippers, ... comfortable, ... neither too warm nor too cool. Very similar to the bison leather slip-ons that were previously in your casual shoe collection. (BTW, not sure why you stopped carrying them in your catalog or store!)
The smooth leather sole is a little "unnerving and slippery" on carpeted steps. The walking surface, aside from the L.L.Bean logo is perfectly smooth. (That's why I didn't give you a FIVE STAR rating!)

I like these slippers a lot. They are comfortable, look great, and seem well made. The pair I bought runs large, significantly larger than other shoes/slippers I've bought from LLBean.

They fit well and feel very good on my feet. Thie is my first pair of bison leather after I wore a pair of cowhide leather practically off my feet. I just wish that they were advertised that the sole was made of bison leather as it is supposed to be stronger than cowhide. My first pair wore very well except the sole had many holes when I threw them out. It would be nice to know that these would wear longer as bison wears longer than cowhide, but nothing says the sole is bison and it does look different than the rest of the slipper. Time will tell.

A good, comfortable slipper so far. Good construction with a minor exception. The under foot leather lining in each of my slippers lifted on the front edge. Carefully, with a very small drop of Gorilla glue and a toothpick the issue was resolved. Otherwise, would have rated a 5.

Too soon to really. Had the non bison product before and they were amazing, comfortable and durable. I ordered size 13 as that is my shoe size. Returned them because they were too big to stay on my feet. Size 12 is still large but manageable once I tightened the laces. Once broken in I expect them to be awesome. Knocked them down a star simply for the inconvenience of the return.

After 2 months this is now my favorite house shoe and I have a dozen. The 2 soles provide a firm yet soft sole. The leather is the softest I ever felt, silky soft. They are warm in cold weather. As warm as my boot slippers. My only issue is the slipper comes untied daily. I never had to tie a slipper before this pair, these are impossible to keep tied. I took off 1 star because of poor laces.

I bought my first pair of men's leather double-sole slippers, leather-lined over 22 years ago. The first pair lasted 12 years, the 2nd pair lasted 10 years. I decided to try the bison double sole slipper this time around.
The new pair, like pairs in the past at first fit a little tight, but quickly conformed to my feet.
I can wear the slippers with or without stockings.
I wear the slippers in the house, on carpet, on wood floors, or even quick trips outside on pavement.

The slipper was well constructed, good looking, and would have been comfortable but it was at least a full size to large. All of my shoes over the years have been size 10 so all I can conclude is that these slippers are mis-sized. This is why I do not like to order on line and have to then spend a third of the price in returning it. I cannot afford the extra expense.

Generally well pleased. Was surprised at how slippery the soles are. Be careful.

The reason for the purchase, was I needed a house slipper. The double leather smooth sole is what I wanted They are more comfortable than waking in stocking or bare foot. Plus are very light in weight. They do not snag on carpeting or other small obstacles. Helps me maintain a safer home environment to cope with my disability.

Have ordered before. Was wary when reading reviews. Need EEE width. Ordered size 10 instead of 9 EEE. After several weeks, fit is improving. Not sure I like insert rather than unlined I've used since scout summer camp 70 years ago. Advice? Take a chance they will last over 30 years like my old ones have.

The pair I have now is the second pair I bought in as many months; my American bull dog, Brian, thought the first pair I got was "delicious." Oh, yea, this is not the first time he's ate my slippers either... Went through two pairs of the shearling lined version of this slipper as well the same way. Note: The second pair of lined slippers I bought did not hold up well. The lining wore out quickly and is made up of fibers that is just glued to the inside of the slipper. After some time the lining material (or glue) had a very foul odor. No, did not smell like stinky feet either; was more of a chemical smell.

The top edge of the shoe, directly below the ankle sank into my skin; on both the left and right foot. Therefore I never did get a chance to decide if these shoes would be helpful for me. I would like shoes that allow my feet to vent moisture.

Slippers last a very long time (I only wear them in my home and I don't play basketball in them).
Though they are reasonably comfortable I do feel they could give the insole slightly more padding.
I've had the other leather slippers and they have better padding but don't last as long.

These shoes lack the support and cushioning of my husband's previous pair of slippers from L L Bean. The exterior is nice but we would not buy these again.

My husband loves these slippers, so there's exactly zero chance I won't buy these for him again. That said, there's a fixable design flaw that makes me nuts: the rawhide laces that end in a bow in front are exasperating. They untie. Easily. And given that they seem to have no real function beyond style, i.e. they do not snug or loosen the fit, why can't they be glued or sewn in place? I've wrapped and knotted fine nylon thread around the bow - nope. I've tacked it with fabric glue - nah. In my latest attempt I soaked the knot with superglue so far, so good. I've knocked off a star for each failed attempt to fix the design flaw. LLB, please make these slippers even better. Or, hire me.
