Great moccasins. Very comfortable, nice looking, and durable. Appreciate the leather interior which can be worn in the cold winter in the house. I have been looking for something like these for several years and found them at LL Bean.

My fifth pair in 18 years. Only slipper that is cool on the feet.

The slippers are true to size and very comfortable after a short break in to conform to your foot. I wear them with socks and so far they haven't disappointed. They are a little slippery on carpets when you first wear them, but that soon goes away after a few days.

My husband is delighted with these moccasins. The color is deep and rich plus the fit is exactly right. He wears size 11 and we went up to a size 12. Perfect, happy feet!

I love these slippers. I purchased my first pair 5 years ago and wore them every day when at home, and only this week bought my second pair. I like best that they have leather versus sheepskin interiors, which get too hot for me. They are cool on a hot summer day, and they're just as good in the cold with a pair of socks. Really, these are the perfect slippers. For me anyway.

My previous pair of L.L. Bean slippers lasted 15 years. They are still going strong but have some severe wear spots in both outer soles. My wife thought they were unsightly and she preferred that I not wear them when we had company so I bought a new pair.
This new pair even appears better made than the first pair. They should probably outlive me. I wear these mostly around the house but I often forget I have them on and get the mail. We have a tabby driveway about 50 yards long which probably explains the excess wear in the soles.

These moccasins are very good but not great. I almost sent them back because of the few rough spots on the interior. They had what seemed to be a little glue protruding from the stitches at a few spots that scratched my bare feet but I was able to scrape them off. I bought these to replace my 10 year old leather lined moccasins. There were no leather lined moccasins available in my size at the time. They bison lined seem to be warmer than the leather lined, so I have to take them off to cool my feet frequently. I'm not positive it's the bison lining. It's a really hot summer and I'm getting older.
I'm sorry, the leather lined weren't available in my size. With them, I never walked on the driveway, the sidewalk or even the lawn and the leather outer sole still has a few years left but the inner foot bed has tears that scrape the bottom of the foot.

I have had several pairs of these moccasins and love them. I just wish the soles lasted longer.

I just received these bison moccasins today. They are a classic slipper with bison uppers trimmed with leather and a smooth leather sole. A beautiful slipper featuring the craftsmanship that we have all come to enjoy from Bean. So I tried them on in my carpeted bedroom. The fit was perfect, but when I stood up and tried to walk they were so slippery that I could not make it safely 10 feet to my texture-tiled living room. I mean my legs would surely have come out from under me if I persisted. Think trying to walk on an ice rink in leather street shoes. But I like these moccasins so much that I decided to purchase a steel wire brush in an attempt to rough up the smooth leather enough to walk safely on smooth surfaces. I will let you know the results later. Meanwhile I cannot understand why Bean would issue a slipper like this. To be fair they do show a photo of the bottom and they do warn that they need to be roughed up to be safe. But they do not advise as to what to do if you plan on using them indoors and have carpeted floors. I think that they are trying to be true to an original design of 100+ years ago before modern, synthetic soles were available. I have their shearling winter slippers and they have synthetic, textured soles. Why they don't issue these summer, leather lined moccasins with the same sole is beyond me. Anyway, beware that these beautiful moccasins are seriously dangerous as shipped and if the soles cannot be roughed up prior to wearing anywhere indoors the user will likely find him or herself on the floor and maybe with broken bones! I will keep you posted as to the results after I try to rough them up with a steel bristle brush.

Great product. Toe box a little tight with a crew sock. Fine with no socks. I only wear indoors. Size up if you have a wide foot.

I really like the look of these. The two tone with the dark buffalo top and lighter bottoms look very good. Some have a said these are very slippery, and at first these were slippery on carpet. However, after a week or so the slipperiness has worn off. I wear them only in the house with carpet, tile, and wood floors. Now they are fine on each surface without concern of sliding.
Regarding size I wear a 10 in all my other shoes. For these slippers, I ordered a 10 and they fit perfectly and I can easily slip them on and off.
The reason for four and not five stars is this. I was surprised and a little disappointed thinking these would have been made in the U.S. I would have paid more if they were made here from craftsmen in Maine. I hope LL Bean would consider having production in Maine or at least in the U.S.

I normally wear a size 12, had to exchange for a size 11, they fit fit perfectly. The shoes seem fine, yes the all leather soles are slick until they break in a bit. The interior of the moccasin appears to be lined with some sort of man made pleather material as well as the the foot bed. They are comfortable, I intend to just wear them indoors around the house, they should hold up fine.

Too long, too wide for my "normal size 12 feet. They are built like a tank, though. Instead of returning, I gave them to my oldest son Lost a star because I can't recall a time I ever purchased a size 12 that was too big.

My old LL Bean slippers blew out after many years of use and I had to replace them. LL Bean does not carry the same slipper. I am genuinely pleased with the replacements. These slippers fit great and look good enough to wear out of my house. LL Bean never disappoints!

Nice product, well made. Size was a bit small but could have sent back to get larger size (didn't like having to pay $6.50 to return, however). In the end, decided product was too expensive for my budget. Is it a good value for the price? For me, no. For others, maybe.

I have had double sole moccasins in the past from another company that were exactly like these. The only problem I have with these is that where the rawhide laces pass through holes of the tongue (on top of your foot) they leave an impression that irritates my feet. Maybe my feet are fatter than they used to be (from the norm). I simply re-routed the lace over the top (and tied the bow) so it does not pass into the under part of the small tongue. This solution is working for me and it might be after I have stretched them out a bit from wearing, I can try the laces in the holes again.

This is the closest thing to my old Allagash Moccasins I could find. A bit more stylized than my taste but they work.

Beautiful slippers which appear to be well made. The leather is soft and has nice coloring (raisin). I'm a true size 12D and I ordered a size 12 which were a size too long. I returned them for a size 11 (no half sizes), which fit perfectly. These are comfortable out of the box.

Good slippers but soles wear out fast. They only last 3 years if worn in house. Uppers probably last forever

Would have given five stars except for the rough finish to the sewing on the lateral side of the interior of the left slipper that irritated my foot.

These are exactly what I wanted as my feet get too hot in the lined slippers. I did order a size up because I'm a half size. I will tell you this, they are extremely slippery on carpet until they get roughed up a bit. And honestly, that only took a couple of days wearing them around the house to accomplish.
