What appears to be synthetic fur lining has been shedding a lot so there is very little around the opening. I previously had the same slipper in tan with real lambs wool and it lasted for probably 20 years with no loss of the lambs wool. I have been trying to decide if it is worth the hassle of doing so.

I purchased the first pair for my husband for a Christmas gift many years ago. Best buy ever!! They fit him perfectly and he loves them so much even though they don't have hard soles!!! This type of the Wicked Good Slippers even cover up his ankles! He said they are so warm!!"! He puts them on first in the morning. I have purchased at least 6 pairs of these slippers for my husband! He loves them and doesn't even want to try any other type or brand of slippers. This is the coldest winter that we've had in years and he wears them outside to fill the bird feeders. That's how warm they are! We're older so I ordered 2 pairs so that I'm ahead for awhile now (at least I hope I am)!!

I love the feel of these slippers. They fit good and warm. I like that they cover my ankles. They seem to last a few years. I had them replaced once under the 'lifetime warranty', but I don't see that anymore. I need to buy another pair as my current pair has worn out. I seem to wear out the stitching that holds the sole to the boot. I love these slippers.

Warm without being hot and very comfortable. I feel like I'm walking in clouds. Awesome.

These house shoes are probably the ideal for soft and warm. I got these for my husband just before a strong cold spell and just before he had to recover at home from surgery, and they were the perfect thing for helping to keep his feet warm. His feet are on the wide side, but he has no problem with fit.

Excellent slipper. I have worn B out 2 pair over the past 10 years or so. Comfortable, warm - like slipping on your favorite old flannel shirt.

I received these as a Christmas gift and they have done well thus far. They have a very padded sole that is quite nice. I wasn't expecting that. They are a little narrow, but I have a narrow foot, so it is actually a benefit for me. I imagine that, over time, this will wriggle out and be less restrictive. The material feels good on my feet and they don't get too hot like some slippers. The only drawback is that I have a high instep, so the opening is a bit of a challenge. I worry it will eventually tear, but it has held up so far. Overall, I would recommend and buy again.

I'm on my second pair of these and I wear them all the time, even in summer when I come home and slip off work clothes. My husband finally noticed so I bought him a pair. He LOVES them! He said they are so soft, warm and comfy (which they are)! Since they don't have rubber on the soles he keeps his old pair (also LLBean) if he needs to walk outside. The leather on bottom hardens after much wear and can be worn out to the mailbox etc but if you get the bottoms wet they will wear through on pavement (that's how I messed up my first pair after several years-wore a hole through). They are absolutely true to size and the lining is amazing but I'm wearing lining away in mine in the heel area area and big toe after three years. Still I would purchase these again. Very well made and others don't hold a candle.

I purchased the Wicked Good Slippers recently to replace the last pair of them I bought... in 1983! They are the most comfortable, best warming, and durable slippers I've ever had. I tried fleece: too hot, not enough breathability. The Wicked Good Slippers deliver the right amount of insulation and breathability for optimal warmth. In my experience, these are best when they have a slightly loose fit because it is the layer of warm air that makes them so effective. Too snug, you lose that layer.

This is the 2nd pair I bought for my husband. He loves them. My only issue is I wish they had soles, he is always going outside in them.

My husband had a pair of these slippers for almost 10 years. He finally wore them out and wanted another pair, so he now has a new pair. I decided to order me a pair and WOW, now I know what all the hype is about. Love love love these slippers.

Comfortable and warm. I wear a 9 1/2 EE shoe, size 10 worked perfectly.

These are the only slippers my husband wears. They last a long time and he is very happy with them.

I really enjoy wearing these slippers, especially at this time. Yesterday it was -2 degrees and my feet were very comfortable in my slippers. I have no problem walking or going up stairs. The stitching did break and LL Bean gave me a replacement pair. I am very satisfied with these slippers. Love going to Freeport, ME and shopping late at night, the service is fantastic as I am one of 5 or 10 people in the men's department.

Comfortable and warm, keeps the chill of ceramic tiles off of my feet.

My husband loves these. He has a pair with a sole for walking around and another slipper type he wears to bed (cold feet!). I also have a pair with pretty shearling fur exposed around the ankle. Long lasting, comfortable. I buy new ones for him every 2-3 years.

My husband was given a pair of Wicked Good slippers years ago and he liked the so much he had worn them out. He wanted another pair for Christmas. He tells me they fit perfectly and they are warm. After placing my order, LLBean was very quick to have my delivery in time for the holidays.

Bought these about 6/7 years ago for my husband. Recently my 16 year old son had been wearing them to run outside and realized he liked them. He asked for and received a pair for Christmas. They both love them, they are very warm, not soo good on ice. LOL! Leave it to a 16 year old to try that. Needless to say they both love them!

My husband loves these slippers!! This is not his first pair of them...they do wear out eventually...because he wears them in the house EVERY DAY!!! We try to keep our house a bit cleaner by not wearing our outside shoes inside, so these are what he wears, all year around!! Very comfortable; warm for the winter; last a long time!! Definitely recommend!!

I buy a new pair every year as the sole lacing wears prematurely, the wool fiber wears off under my heels & bunches elsewhere. Would be great if made with replaceable insoles and higher/sturdier lacing attaching sole to shoe. Or, can I send back for a 'resole'?

The slippers are exactly what my husband wanted--warm, comfortable, durable. He is very pleased.

They seem to be just like the ones I received a few years ago..I love my slippers. They are a gift for my grandson, so don't know yet if the will fit, but we will find out soon!
