We were exchanging a pair of my husband's size 11 slippers that fell apart at the seams. He'd had them a few years, but had worn them infrequently, and LL Bean has an amazing quality guarantee so they happily exchanged them for a new pair. However, the size 11's that came were a half size smaller than his current size 11's (we held them up to my son's pair of size 11's!) and the sole seemed half as thick. We thought maybe they were mis-sized, which happens, so we ordered a second pair of size 11's and same thing. We ended up having to order a size 12, which fit, but the sole still seemed thinner and the quality overall seemed not as good as the older pair he'd had. Since they don't offer half sizes, consider ordering a full size up. My husband's shoe size hasn't changed, only in this slipper.

These slippers are just okay. They don't fit well. I ordered a wide slipper for ultimate comfort and these came back somewhat narrow to what I ordered. I also order a shoe size larger than what I normally wear. The foot-bed is not comfortable I wanted a wicked good slipper but instead got an average, albeit well constructed, slipper.

This is the third pair of these that I have bought from LL Bean. The first two pair were excellent in all regards. This newest pair tends to rotate on my foot so that I'm walking on the side of them. Perhaps Bean has changed suppliers, perhaps I just happened to get a pair that is not quite "up to snuff."

Not as well made as the last ones I had. Less heft to the lining or thickness to the leather. Best I could find in the market place though.

Warm and Comfortable but feet tend to roll to the outside. Don't know why, but not good. Don't have that problem with any other footwear.

This slipper was medium width and way too narrow for my feet. I also found the sole a bit too flimsy for my taste. It may be a great slipper for someone with the right shape foot. I decided to exchange for the moccasin style which I had purchased a couple of years ago which frankly fit my foot shape much much better and it has a firmer sole which I prefer. I am a big fan of LLBean and will continue to be a loyal customer.

This is the second pair of Bean slippers that I have purchased. Ordered these because of the height for around my ankles. They are warm but I don't care for the type of soles that they have. My old slippers that I purchased from LL Bean have a more firm sole which I feel is much better. My ankle tends to turn in these, so I continue to wear my old one until they fall apart. These will be a back up until I have to wear them.

I wear a size 10 EEE boot and I ordered a size 10EE slipper.. These are at least a size or size and a half larger then my boot size. I refuse to send back something I've worn for a few days trying to accept the item. I don't buy slippers to work out in. I buy them for lounging around the house not doing much of anything. They do keep my feet warm and cozy . Nothing beats shearling lambs wool when it comes to keeping my feet warm. I would suggest you order at least a size smaller as they do run waaay big. They are great quality but overly big in comparison to most shoe/boot sizes.

I bought a pair of these slippers for my husband last Christmas & by the summer, they had worn through the heels. I called & complained & they sent another pair out. My husband absolutely loves these slippers & was telling me that it was the best gift I ever gave him. Now, again, his slippers are wearing out in the heels again, so I bought him the slippers again, but in a different color. Hopefully we will have better wear on these & wasn't happy that I couldn't use any discount codes so I had to pay full price. I guess that's what it takes to make my husband happy.

slipper does not fit comfortably. one foot sags over the platform/sole providing little support, slipper sizing good, lining warm.

If I could duplicate my original 9M womens pair I'd be happier. They now run smaller, size up too large, tried mens 7M - they fit like the too small 9M womens, working on a mens 7W now - hopefully they'll be keepers. Did really love my original pair though.

These slippers are really toasty warm which was my primary reason for selecting them. They suffer from a serious fault though. When I try to walk in them my heels are constantly slipping off the foot area and into the side which makes me feel like I am walking like a crab. I find it very difficult to walk in them because I am constantly checking to make sure I can keep my heels centered. I would not buy these again for this reason.

I wondered about the sizing of the slippers because of the fur lining, but read the reviews which claimed the fit was true to size so I ordered my husband's normal size 11 and they were very tight. I was very sad to return them because I lost $20 in shopping credits during the transaction.

Slippers were just OK, not what I expected. Slipper soles seemed to roll out from my feet. The problem happened even when I would walk a short distance in the house. Their performance was fine as long as I stayed sitting or standing in one spot. So my review these slippers are just OK.

I have been wearing fur-lined slippers for years; warm, fuzzy, easy to put on and take off, but they do wear out. Mine have always been the kind with a leather sole--just leather and fur, no rubber sole. I looked all over for a replacement pair, but the only pair I could find were these at LL Bean. They looked good. Overall, they are well-made. There is an information card enclosed that reminds you that they will be snug at first, but will break in. The width was good. The length "seems" a little short, but this is probably due to the somewhat narrow toe; would have like a more rounded, broader toe. My main concern (disappointment) was that these slippers have a pretty thick, firm foam sole (insert) sewed in (maybe 3/8" thick). The bottoms are leather (sheep skin) which is what I wanted and could see on the photos, but there is a thick inner sole there. The thick sole is not mentioned as a feature in the product description. I didn't expect (or want) that feature. I found the slipper to be "unstable" at the heal, where these do not fit tightly--my heal easily sildes against this sheep skin fur, and slightly slips off the top of the sole. It feels like the heal is slipping off the edge of an elevated surface. I don't know why every slipper I find now is designed for people to walk around outside on gravel and stones. (I have shoes for that, and I take them off at the door.) I wanted something comfortable and warmth, clean and kind to my carpeting. I probably won't return these; my wife likes them on me, and maybe this thick inner sole will not be the concern it is now as they break in. But I think sooner or later I think I might cut the seams along one side, remove the thick inner foam sole inserts, and sew the slippers back up. There is no doubt that I'll keep looking for another pair.

While they keep my feet warm the lining of the material on the inside bottom is too loose, for lack of better description, which cause my feet to slide around enough in the slipper while walking to sometimes go side to side making them unstable to walk in.

They were all that they were claimed to be, with 'bushy' sheep fur lining that swaddles your feet in warm comfort. Where they fall short, for me was in the support. With but a leather bottom, the support and stability I'd grown used to with orthotic-like souls was lacking. Not a slipper I'd want to put many miles on...

First thing I suggest is buy your size. I wear an 11 or 12 depending and bought the 12 but much too large. Also, Bean says shearling is supposed to fit tight at first and then stretch (a little) for proper fit and function. That said, I returned mine and did not reorder these in a smaller size due to the fact that my foot had a tendency to slide off the sole. The sole on these slippers is not firmly fixed so they'd have to fit tightly or your foot can slide from side to side. Too bad since they feel amazingly soft on your feet.

In the past, I have purchased these slippers for myself, my husband, my son, my father and my father-in-law. I bought mine 10 years ago, and I wear them every day and they still look great! My husband was ready for a new pair this year because the leather has ripped around the top of both of his slippers. So I ordered him a new pair for Christmas, which I just received. I immediately noticed the reduced quality upon removing the slippers from their box. I am disappointed, to say the least, in the quality of the shearling because it is much thinner than the 10 year-old pair that I am currently wearing. My husband will probably ask me to return them as soon as opens his present due to the lack of quality and durability. This used to be a very nice gift to give and receive.

The slippers are ok. But I have bought slippers for a lot less money than have been more comfortable when I'm wearing socks with them that these are. It hasn't gotten cold enough yet to see if they keep my feet as warm as others I have bought.

Bought these for hubby...it took THREE pair before we got the size right. !st pair, one was about a 1/2 size larger than the other. 2nd pair, too small. 3rd pair, right length, but they do run a bit narrow. As for the quality of the slipper, time will tell, but they sure look sturdy and feel comfy. Would we buy them again...sure would, but we'd start TOO BIG and work our way backwards next time. lol ALSO: Thank you LL BEAN for your awesome help and patience in obtaining the proper fit. What great folks to work with !!!
