I wondered about the sizing of the slippers because of the fur lining, but read the reviews which claimed the fit was true to size so I ordered my husband's normal size 11 and they were very tight. I was very sad to return them because I lost $20 in shopping credits during the transaction.

Slippers were just OK, not what I expected. Slipper soles seemed to roll out from my feet. The problem happened even when I would walk a short distance in the house. Their performance was fine as long as I stayed sitting or standing in one spot. So my review these slippers are just OK.

This is the third pair my husband and son has owned these slippers. They love the fit and warmth they provide.

I have been wearing fur-lined slippers for years; warm, fuzzy, easy to put on and take off, but they do wear out. Mine have always been the kind with a leather sole--just leather and fur, no rubber sole. I looked all over for a replacement pair, but the only pair I could find were these at LL Bean. They looked good. Overall, they are well-made. There is an information card enclosed that reminds you that they will be snug at first, but will break in. The width was good. The length "seems" a little short, but this is probably due to the somewhat narrow toe; would have like a more rounded, broader toe. My main concern (disappointment) was that these slippers have a pretty thick, firm foam sole (insert) sewed in (maybe 3/8" thick). The bottoms are leather (sheep skin) which is what I wanted and could see on the photos, but there is a thick inner sole there. The thick sole is not mentioned as a feature in the product description. I didn't expect (or want) that feature. I found the slipper to be "unstable" at the heal, where these do not fit tightly--my heal easily sildes against this sheep skin fur, and slightly slips off the top of the sole. It feels like the heal is slipping off the edge of an elevated surface.
I don't know why every slipper I find now is designed for people to walk around outside on gravel and stones. (I have shoes for that, and I take them off at the door.) I wanted something comfortable and warmth, clean and kind to my carpeting. I probably won't return these; my wife likes them on me, and maybe this thick inner sole will not be the concern it is now as they break in. But I think sooner or later I think I might cut the seams along one side, remove the thick inner foam sole inserts, and sew the slippers back up. There is no doubt that I'll keep looking for another pair.

While they keep my feet warm the lining of the material on the inside bottom is too loose, for lack of better description, which cause my feet to slide around enough in the slipper while walking to sometimes go side to side making them unstable to walk in.

They were all that they were claimed to be, with 'bushy' sheep fur lining that swaddles your feet in warm comfort.
Where they fall short, for me was in the support. With but a leather bottom, the support and stability I'd grown used to with orthotic-like souls was lacking. Not a slipper I'd want to put many miles on...

First thing I suggest is buy your size. I wear an 11 or 12 depending and bought the 12 but much too large. Also, Bean says shearling is supposed to fit tight at first and then stretch (a little) for proper fit and function. That said, I returned mine and did not reorder these in a smaller size due to the fact that my foot had a tendency to slide off the sole. The sole on these slippers is not firmly fixed so they'd have to fit tightly or your foot can slide from side to side. Too bad since they feel amazingly soft on your feet.

In the past, I have purchased these slippers for myself, my husband, my son, my father and my father-in-law. I bought mine 10 years ago, and I wear them every day and they still look great! My husband was ready for a new pair this year because the leather has ripped around the top of both of his slippers. So I ordered him a new pair for Christmas, which I just received. I immediately noticed the reduced quality upon removing the slippers from their box. I am disappointed, to say the least, in the quality of the shearling because it is much thinner than the 10 year-old pair that I am currently wearing. My husband will probably ask me to return them as soon as opens his present due to the lack of quality and durability. This used to be a very nice gift to give and receive.

The slippers are ok. But I have bought slippers for a lot less money than have been more comfortable when I'm wearing socks with them that these are. It hasn't gotten cold enough yet to see if they keep my feet as warm as others I have bought.

Bought these for hubby...it took THREE pair before we got the size right. !st pair, one was about a 1/2 size larger than the other. 2nd pair, too small. 3rd pair, right length, but they do run a bit narrow.
As for the quality of the slipper, time will tell, but they sure look sturdy and feel comfy. Would we buy them again...sure would, but we'd start TOO BIG and work our way backwards next time. lol ALSO: Thank you LL BEAN for your awesome help and patience in obtaining the proper fit. What great folks to work with !!!

They're very comfortable but I had expected a little more body to the slippers.

I bought these for the cold winter, but after barely using them not even a month, the right slipper tore at the stitching more than 2 inches!
They are also a little pointier than on the picture.

I bought a pair of the Wicked Good Slippers five years ago for my son-in-law. He still wears and loves them as they keep his feet warm and come up over his ankles. I just ordered a new pair for him to keep at my house when he visits. We were very disappointed in the style as they now come well below his ankles. Everything else about them is perfect.

Nice slippers (GG189724) but they did not have soles as described in the fall 2010 catalog. The ad was poorly written. I could not recommend the slipper for a run to the woodpile. I called and their operator was able to help me locate another shoe that had the outdoor sole I was looking for. I would suggest that folks should go online & carefully review both the written ad & zoom in on the pictures in order to better understand what they are ordering.

Slippers were great, but we could not get them wide enough (wear a 4E shoe). Had to return them. But the quality and feel of them will tempt me to buy them for a gift for someone else, with feet not so wide.

They were great, smelled REALLY bad but I aired them out for a day or so before wearing them and that went away. I wore them for a day, turned out to be too big, my foot slid off the gel sole making it a pain to walk. I returned them and am currently waiting for the next smaller size to come, can't wait, I know they will be great once I have the right size. I am a 10 1/2 normally and I originally ordered the 11, I think these run slightly large and being soft leather, they will stretch so I'm going with the smaller size now.

Size runs very small, so had to return. Otherwise, like them a lot. Would prefer a firmer sole that could be worn outside briefly.

This was a Christmas gift for my 84 year old father. My mother selected them and told me exactly what to order. When I called her on Christmas day to ask about them, she hesitated, but then told me that she was disappointed in the color (they were too dark) and that they just didn't look as nice as they did in the catalog. My father always has cold feet, thanks to frost bite suffered in World War II, so these were the only slippers deemed warm enough for him, plus it's just too much bother for elderly people to return things.

Since you asked..... I have been buying Wicked Good slippers for several years now and have seen their quality deteriorate substantially. The amount of shearling on them is much thinner than used to be the case. Also, it is frequently the case that two slippers from the same box will be fairly different in actual size. I have continued to buy them since I need the warmth and lanolin of natural shearling, but this may be the last year that I do so.

These slippers are very warm and soft, but very narrow. I don't even have wide feet, and they still were squeezing my feet a bit. I'm hoping with time they stretch out...not much toe room, either, because of the tapered sides.

This is the third pair of these slippers I've bought and lived in over the course of many years. This pair was obviously different and it was apparent immediately. After wearing them for a couple of weeks, it is noticeable. The inside "fluff" is significantly, and disappointingly, less dense. I guess the specs have been changed as a cost cutting measure, but I am certain I will most regret the change when winter arrives, and when they do not last as long as my last two pair which I loved. Sorry - -

Bought these slippers for my husband and he loved the comfort and fit. They just didn't last. He wears them everyday and the stiching came loose on the sole. They were beyond repair in less than a year. Thought for the money they should have lasted longer.

Yet another LL Bean return..
I love the LL bean jeans tops jackets , everything... But so many items returned due to, sizing, gets costly in shipping.
Left shoes size 9, right shoe much smaller. simple exchange but again more shipping costs at my end.
Also they size a wee bit small, likely due to the extra fluff inside.
Really high quality materials in these though.
Need to size their items better.. especialy LL Bean brand should be all the similar fit/sized.

I'm sad to report that I may have to agree with others about the recent quality of these slippers. This is my third pair of these slippers and based on the performance, fit, and feel of the previous two I did not bat an eyelash shelling out the money to buy these. My initial reaction is a bit mixed as they do not appear to be of the same quality - fit and finish - as the two pair that I had orignally owned. They still feel good on my feet but something tells me that these might not last as long. I hope I'm wrong and in a year or so I will be eating these words. Time will tell.
