I bought these for the cold winter, but after barely using them not even a month, the right slipper tore at the stitching more than 2 inches! They are also a little pointier than on the picture.

I bought a pair of the Wicked Good Slippers five years ago for my son-in-law. He still wears and loves them as they keep his feet warm and come up over his ankles. I just ordered a new pair for him to keep at my house when he visits. We were very disappointed in the style as they now come well below his ankles. Everything else about them is perfect.

Nice slippers (GG189724) but they did not have soles as described in the fall 2010 catalog. The ad was poorly written. I could not recommend the slipper for a run to the woodpile. I called and their operator was able to help me locate another shoe that had the outdoor sole I was looking for. I would suggest that folks should go online & carefully review both the written ad & zoom in on the pictures in order to better understand what they are ordering.

Slippers were great, but we could not get them wide enough (wear a 4E shoe). Had to return them. But the quality and feel of them will tempt me to buy them for a gift for someone else, with feet not so wide.

They were great, smelled REALLY bad but I aired them out for a day or so before wearing them and that went away. I wore them for a day, turned out to be too big, my foot slid off the gel sole making it a pain to walk. I returned them and am currently waiting for the next smaller size to come, can't wait, I know they will be great once I have the right size. I am a 10 1/2 normally and I originally ordered the 11, I think these run slightly large and being soft leather, they will stretch so I'm going with the smaller size now.

Size runs very small, so had to return. Otherwise, like them a lot. Would prefer a firmer sole that could be worn outside briefly.

This was a Christmas gift for my 84 year old father. My mother selected them and told me exactly what to order. When I called her on Christmas day to ask about them, she hesitated, but then told me that she was disappointed in the color (they were too dark) and that they just didn't look as nice as they did in the catalog. My father always has cold feet, thanks to frost bite suffered in World War II, so these were the only slippers deemed warm enough for him, plus it's just too much bother for elderly people to return things.

Since you asked..... I have been buying Wicked Good slippers for several years now and have seen their quality deteriorate substantially. The amount of shearling on them is much thinner than used to be the case. Also, it is frequently the case that two slippers from the same box will be fairly different in actual size. I have continued to buy them since I need the warmth and lanolin of natural shearling, but this may be the last year that I do so.

These slippers are very warm and soft, but very narrow. I don't even have wide feet, and they still were squeezing my feet a bit. I'm hoping with time they stretch out...not much toe room, either, because of the tapered sides.

This is the third pair of these slippers I've bought and lived in over the course of many years. This pair was obviously different and it was apparent immediately. After wearing them for a couple of weeks, it is noticeable. The inside "fluff" is significantly, and disappointingly, less dense. I guess the specs have been changed as a cost cutting measure, but I am certain I will most regret the change when winter arrives, and when they do not last as long as my last two pair which I loved. Sorry - -

Bought these slippers for my husband and he loved the comfort and fit. They just didn't last. He wears them everyday and the stiching came loose on the sole. They were beyond repair in less than a year. Thought for the money they should have lasted longer.

Yet another LL Bean return.. I love the LL bean jeans tops jackets , everything... But so many items returned due to, sizing, gets costly in shipping. Left shoes size 9, right shoe much smaller. simple exchange but again more shipping costs at my end. Also they size a wee bit small, likely due to the extra fluff inside. Really high quality materials in these though. Need to size their items better.. especialy LL Bean brand should be all the similar fit/sized.

I'm sad to report that I may have to agree with others about the recent quality of these slippers. This is my third pair of these slippers and based on the performance, fit, and feel of the previous two I did not bat an eyelash shelling out the money to buy these. My initial reaction is a bit mixed as they do not appear to be of the same quality - fit and finish - as the two pair that I had orignally owned. They still feel good on my feet but something tells me that these might not last as long. I hope I'm wrong and in a year or so I will be eating these words. Time will tell.

These are wonderfully comfortable, but the sizing is off. Twice I ordered them, and one time the right foot was bigger than the left. The next time the left foot was bigger than the right.

Slippers not true to size. Too long & too wide for given size. Nicely made, unfortunately did not fit.

The slippers are made of quality materials and are quite attractive for what they are. The only draw back is that the sole seems unstable when walking - it is tall and a little narrower than the foot, lending a sense of falling, on occassion.

I liked the old model with all the fur folded over around the top of the slipper.

I bought a pair of these a long time ago when I was in high school and then in college, over 20 years ago. They don't make them like they used to. The leather is very thin and the fake fur is not evenly distributed on the bottom so it feels kind of wierd until they get worn in. Personally, if they made them like they used to with thick leather and real shearling fur inside, I would have been willing to pay 50% more than I did.

The slippers are great. However, since they are available only in whole sizes, the fit is not adequate. I wear a size 10 1/2, but ordered a size 10, after reading your other customer reviews. However, these were too short, and were returned for a size 11. The size 11 slips off the heel, even while wearing socks. Having half sizes available would solve a lot of these problems in the future.

Liked the slipper but I returned mine because if the soles being fabric, making it unable to be worn outside in my opinion.

I ordered these because I was so pleased with my previous pair. However, I don't know if it's the color or just the difference a year makes, both pairs are size 11M but these are almost too small for my feet. I'm going to have to modify them to be able to continue wearing them. I certainly would order up a size in the future.

These are wonderful slippers. I've purchased several pairs over the years for myself, my husband and for gifts. Sadly, I've noticed a definite decline in the quality of construction. They are still warm and comfortable but they wear out a lot sooner.

These slippers are very comfortable and will keep feet warm, however, they are not as well made as they were 5 years ago. My first pair of these slippers was bought about 5 years ago and they lasted longer than the pairs I have recently purchased. The shearling on my first pair was thicker than any that I have purchaed since, and the last 2 pair I have bought have not been as well put together. I can see the separation of each part of the shoe. It is still a good shoe that will last about one year of extensive wear, but I regret that the quality has slipped.

I had these slippers as a teen growing up when I lived in a chilly house in the wintertime. They were so toasty and warm and always a favorite for Christmas gift-giving amongst my family. I was recently shopping online for a new pair of slippers and remembered these. I ordered a pair and found that there's a plastic tag sewn into the inside bottom sole. Of course, this is the only thing I could feel on the bottom of my feet when I walked. I tried cutting the tag out, but I could still feel the "nub" on the bottom of my foot from where the tag had been. Sadly, I'm returning these for just that reason, however, they're perfect in every other way.

If only they would wear squarely on your feet, they would be great. They don't. They tend to wear in pretty quickly so that the foot comes down on the side of the slipper. Hard on the knees and so forth.. I am house bound and practically live in slippers. A pair generally lasts me about seven months before the leather lacing dryrots. Quilting thread helps at that point.
