My first pair of these was in college and they last for decades. Now am buying for my son who is working at a summer camp. Got unlined for warm weather and barn work. We followed size adjustment directions LL Bean gives and they fit. We chose medium width. He will wear socks for his slightly narrow feet--did not get the narrow width though. Nothing like these for wet ground, barn, muddy lakeside paths.

I have worn size 12 men's for years and my feet fit perfectly in this size 11, even w/my work socks on! Very comfortable, waterproof, easy to put on, good traction on the slippery slopes! Thanks, Mr. Bean!

Bought the show to keep my feet dry for the rainy commutes into NYC. Great shoe and would have kept it, but looking for something that is higher, above the ankle. Still would highly recommend. Looking forward to the 8 inch boot being available. When ordering this shoe, FOLLOW THE SIZE GUIDELINES!

The fit, following recommendations is excellent. The boots are perfect for slopping around in garden and yard work.

I've been using these boots for donkey's years in my gardening business. This recent purchase must be at least the fifth pair I have worked my way through.

I wanted a pair of waterproof boots. Not insulated, and not too high and not too low, just right. These boots filled the bill. Salesman at store was very helpful, even if they didn't have them "instock" at the store. I ordered by phone at the store, and the shipped them to me in 3 days. Very nice. I like them very much. Laces are a bit to short for me, but will use them until the break and will add longer ones then.

I was concerned about the recommended sizing, but the gumshoes fit perfectly. I wear these whenever there is dew on the grass or wet from rain.

I've owned this kind of LLBean in different types and will continue over time. For me, their is no substitute for these high quality shoes. I suggest always follow LLBean's suggestions on what size to order.

Just got these a few weeks ago. Get lots of favorable comments but the best part is the wet weather traction in all conditions. You purchase a shoe made in the U.S.A. for well under a hundred bucks, they look great, and will not let you slip in any weather. Exactly what else would you want in a pair of shoes for a price like this?

I can't believe I waited so long to buy a pair of gumshoes! These are terrific. I bought them for wearing around my canoe, camping, boating, and for winter weather here in PA, when I don't need full boots. We had pouring rain today, and melting snow, and they kept my feet warm, dry and comfortable all day. These will be great for a wet day afield. The directions for sizing were spot-on. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe, and ordered a size 7 boot for light socks. Great fit.

I needed a shoe to handle outside trips where the parking lots and sidewalks are covered with snow and salt that would wreck ordinary leather shoes. This shoe fit the ticket perfectly. My feet are kept dry and warm and the shoe is comfortable to wear. As this is not a boot, it doesn't have a high top to protect against deep snow but that is not the intent. Also, follow Bean's guidelines for fit, because the they come about one size larger than the standard shoe size.

you might want to order a size down because the shoe runs large but besides that it is an amazing everyday shoe

Second pair I purchased. First pair lasted 12 years. Great quality and made in USA. Very helpfull that the description advised to order one size smaller than usual. I did and they fit very well

I bought this item to replace my husband's old 6" Bean Boots. We decided to give the gumshoes a try because the boots were not currently available. He is very happy that we did. They are fine for the occasional mud and snow he encounters in his daily walks, and they are easier to put on than the higher boots.

Previous pair had to be replaced after 20+ years...outstanding. Sizing instructions spot on.

I've known about LLBean's Gumshoe for years, but never owned it - until now. i had a knockoff brand that wore out so i went to the web and ordered a pair. BIG difference/improvement. Very reasonably priced, and yes, they run big (but they tell you how to get the right fit). I wear a Mens 12 Wide street shoe, so I ordered an 11 Wide. It fits perfect. To be such a simple shoe, it is incredibly comfortable. Even has a bit of arch support for my high arches in the sock liner. I'll own a pair for the rest of my days.

This shoe is just what I wanted. Easy to lace/warm and comfortable.

I have worn a pair of LL Bean gum shoes for approximately 25 years. The bottoms finally wore out and I just purchased a replacement pair. The ordering process was quick and easy and the shoes were delivered in just a few days.

I have appreciated these hunting boots for years and got a second pair last year. So I ordered a pair for our nephew. They arrived just as they were scheduled, and he seemed very satisfied.

They are great. used them for the first time today. They are comfortable, feel good, and keep my feet dry.

I was very well please with the product. when you check the sizing go by what llbean tells you. i bought one size smaller that i normally wear and the ducks fit just like they siad they would. would recommend this to anyone.

My son is a new track and football coach - following in his dad's footsteps. His real coming of age as a coach is he now has his own pair of LLBean gum shoes (instead of borrowing his dad's 25 year old pair which still work beautifully). He says he is the envi of all the other coaches on rainy game days - his feet are dry and warm. Gum boots and wool socks are the best.
