I ordered a size down from what ai normally wear and the boots were still too big. The boots were on back order for quite some time. If only someone had the foresight to realize there would be an influx of orders around the holidays (sigh). Also, I've gotten about 30+ emails to review these boots and have unsubscribed numerous times. Pretty frustrating all around.

The leather loop on one boot ripped trying to put it on, only got to wear them a few times

Hard to find the right size, started off with 13, which are normally wear, it was extremely to big. So returned and tried 12, still too big to be comfortable. Returned to try size 11, now they are sold out and got issued a refund

I love my new boots, however when buying it, choose smaller size.

I like the looks off the boot however I did not like the fit. I tried them on in store and ordered online when they were on sale. Upon arrival, the boot was far too tight even though the same size fit great when I tried them on prior. I'm not too sure why this was. The employee at the store would not stop talking about how you need to downsize for these boots. You do need to downsize but the workers need to stop talking your ear off trying to sell them. I returned them immediately and tried to order a half size up and they cancelled my order until March due to supply issues. Very disappointed with this outcome.

Horrible Horrible fit. Can pull these off with the laces as toght as possible. Why are the ankles so obnoxiously wide!?!? Of course all the smaller sizes are now sold out before Christmas. Thanks for the Grinch gift LL Bean.

Very disappointed. Boot ran at least one size bigger on my foot than size ordered. Flannel lining felt cheap and provided a perception of not being able to provide any comfort and warmth in cold wet weather. Not sure what happened to the legendary bean boot quality but these boots are no longer carrying on that heritage.

I was very surprised to find so much wrong with one boot, not only the lack of quality but the actual design. Upon opening we noticed a stitching imperfection. The laces are flimsy and the ends remind me of when we would scotch tape the end of old laces back in the day. They do not suffice for a mans boot. The leather upper is so thin and wide around the ankles that it caves in on itself in a weird way and would show wear easily and by wide I mean it would be up to the pant legs to keep snow out. Honestly I can't be the only one to wonder if it's down to branding over common sense funcuality and design quality to price these not only at upper end but at all.

Came broken. One shoe was missing eyelet for lace. Had to pay to ship it back.

Much too large. So large that foot could be put in & taken out without untying boot when tied to the maximum tightness. Would have to order 2 sizes smaller.

The boots have been returned. The flannel seam met the insulated foot bed at a very noticeable point. The seam is very thick and extremely bothersome. I could feel it digging into the side of my foot and decided immediately to make a return. I knew it was going to problem and felt that a different style possibly could work out better for me.

Very sad to return these, but they didn't work out for my husband. Fit great through the foot, but ankle and calf were WAY too wide. Even when tied as tightly as possible, the extra material was clunky and odd.

Way too big. Top part (leather) is too big compared to bottom part (rubber). I believe the design is off or they put a size 11 upper on a size 9 bottom......oooops.

I had received a size 13 of this boot which was WAY to big overall. I am a size 13 in any shoes and boots I buy elsewhere. So, I returned the size 13 and got a size 12. It seems the boot was narrower, but the same length that the size 13 was. Toes were a full 1-1/2" short of the tip of the boot. And that's a lot. Means the length of the boot is for a size 14 or 15. I've got 3 pairs of boots now in for return. Dear L.L. Bean - please check the sizing on these boots because you must be receiving too many back on size return.
