Comfortable and warm love this boot first time owning a pair would definitely buy again

The shoe is surprising comfortable. I have worn it all day long several days and it is great. It is my first time living in a cold weather (Michigan). So far, the Bean Boots is great--and we had the storm of the decade last week. My wife is considering buying one for her.

Extremely comfortable, capable, warm, waterproof boot! I am very happy that I decided to purchase this style! The leather is soft and had a "broken-in" feel from day 1. The insulation is light-weight but keeps my feet very warm (and dry) in extreme conditions. Classic style and look. Great arch support. I followed the guidance presented in the description and originally ordered my true size, and they fit in the width, but were too long - so I had to exchange for the next size down. I was worried about the fit until they arrived, when I discovered they fit perfectly! Overall, very happy with these boots!

Whatever theyre called, these are by far the best boots I've ever owned. They're even stylish enough to wear to the office.

All of my other shoes/boots are a size 9. I purchased a size 8 and they fit great. I wore them in warmer weather with thin wool socks and had to tie a little tighter than normal, with a thick sock on, they fit perfect. Applied mink oil after purchase and wore hunting in pouring rain, boots kept my feet completely dry. Tried to add a photo, but won't upload.

It came as advertised. It was what I expected it to be!!

Overall, this boot is well made, comfortable in the foot area. 4 stars only because for a narrow calf it doesn't hug the leg as it should. No amount of tightening the laces would snug it up. If there was a "collar" to help with the snugness this would be a perfect boot.

I normally wear a size 13 sneaker and a 12 dress shoe. Instead of ordering online, I drove a bit to get to an LL bean store knowing I'd have an issue with sizing based on reviews and the fact that I'm between sizes. I started with a 12 and it far too big, as was the 11.5. I ended up in an 11 with medium weight socks. For reference, I was an 11.5 in the unlined boot version. The build quality is excellent and I anticipate having these for some time seeing as they'll only be worn in fall/winter during inclement weather.

Very warm, very comfortable and very durable so far. Sizing is a bit wonky but they go out of the way to inform you of that beforehand.

This is my second pair of Bean Boots. The previous pair is still wearable after almost 6 years of heavy wear. I would give the style of the boots 10 stars, but the fit is just so strange, which is why I'm going with 4 stars overall. I have a standard width foot, but the Bean Boots seem extremely wideespecially at the ankle. I don't want to size down a full size, so I go with my standard size 11. The flannel lining is really comfortable but quite thin.

Good boot, leather is super stiff, needs some leather softener

I love these boots. Super comfortable and can walk around in them all day. My only problem is that they run a bit big I wear a size 12 and after reading plenty of reviews, I ordered the boot in a size 11 and with thick socks and inserts The boot still could be a little more snug. My advice would be to size down 1 - 1 1/2

Great boot but the tongue is constructed in such a way that if you are in water much past the rubber,you'll probably experience a leak.

First off the boots are awesome. But, You have to get your sizing problem under control. Flyers say to size one way catalog says another. Size up size down, get your sh"t together. You have to be loosing money on all the returns.

High quality construction. My only complaint is that these are made for someone with cankles. Even with heavy socks, the top of the boot has a very wide diameter that can't be tied snug so it slops around on your leg. Not good for walking a distance. Maybe people in Maine are made this way but not in Colorado.

The flannel lined insulation is very thin. I am not sure the insulation is effective. I intend to wear thick socks and it should not be a factor. The boot is well made. Our winter is still a month away, so I cannot not tell how it actually performs in cold temperature. I love the soft the leather is. No break in required.

Love these boots, but. Ordered a size 12, I typically take an 11.5 L.L.Bean said go up to the next size when ordering. I could move my family into these boots. Lol They're so big all around. Width, length, just huge. Quality is great as usual, just wish they fit. I'm glad I ordered these early and have time to return them. I'll definitely order again, and based on the other reviews I'm not the only one experiencing this. I know online ordering of boots isn't easy, but I've ordered a similar pair of 6 inch regular and they fit perfectly. I understand these are a bit different. I'd suggest going into the store on this particular style. 8 inch flannel lined.

The quality of the boot is good, but unfortunately the fit of the leather upper doesn't work for me. The fit of the lower, insulated rubber portion of the boot is good and similar to my old well-loved pair of 10" unlined boots. However, the upper is so wide and loose that I cannot tie it snug around my ankle/calf (Size 14) so I've returned them.
