Very cute and comfortable. Loved them. But the shoelaces are way too short. I could barely get them tied, and that was not even putting them through the hole farthest back. The shoelaces are a mint green to match the shoe trim, with diagonal stripes. Zappos could not provide longer replacements and neither could Astra. And I couldn’t find any online to match. So, unfortunately, I have to return the shoes.

I understand there needs to be a little space in the toe box for foot expansion during running so I don't mind the wide toe box. But I thought this was about a half size larger than other brands. The shoes feel a bit roomy on me. And the more I break them in, the more relaxed the fit will be so I'm not happy with what I got. As far as the other attributes go, I do like how firm the sole is. It's perfect. Not too hard and definitely not pillowy-soft. Just right for running. I think the graphic details look a little cheap for the price. They look ironed on, like those iron-on stickers I used to put on my backpack fifteen years ago in middle school. It doesn't look professional or well-made. I do like the colors overall. The white helps break up the dark purple, and there's just enough silver and pink to give it a little personality. If I got these shoes again, I would order a half size down.

First time trying Altra shoes. Was excited about the footbed shape since I have a wide toe box and most wide width shoes are usually too large in the heel for me. While technically this fit in my size, no pinching & not too loose, the footbed was too narrow and the inside of my arches overhung the cushiony part which made me unstable. My foot was balancing on a sole that was too small. I was really hoping these would work because I was excited to try a shoe with even cushioning between the front and back. Other negatives were that the wide width only comes in light grey, which looks white, and who wants a white shoe for hiking that will get dirty the first time you wear it on a trail? Also, the laces were too short to use in all of the holes or to double knot. This seems to be a new trend unfortunately among shoe manufacturers; I had the same problem this year with my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22. Glad there is an "extra" hole for those of us who need it, but I shouldn't have to skip holes or buy different laces just to get a proper fit.

Because my other shoes were hurting me so much, I didn't have a choice, but to wear the shoes and get them dirty, so I couldn't return them, but I was supposed to get navy blue or black. That's what the picture showed. I am not color blind and I do not have visual issues. I appreciate their unique fit of course. They don't feel as soft under my feet as my original ones that I bought a year or two ago. Please let me know if you actually sell navy blue or black Atras in 9 1/2s. I would like to have a couple more pairs that I don't feel self-conscious in. Bright purple is not exactly what I was going for, but they are better than the old shoes that I wore out for exercise, but for my day today, errands and dealings with people, I would prefer to have darker, more subdued colors like navy blue or black.

Please bring back all black like the 5's and the fit of the 6's. These 7's just don't feel like true lone peaks. As a thru hiker it's a bummer I can't choose lone peaks this year and am trying a different shoe.

First of all, the 4s were the best. Each redesign just gets worse. But worse than that, the color configurations are hideous. Who is designing this shoe that feels women want to wear these colors!? Enough with the getiatric Florida and 80s workout colors please! We like slate grays, desert sands and reds, forest greens and blacks just as much as men do. Please stop using teal.

I've worn almost all of the Lone Peaks over the years, but this new upper material (looks like ripstop) does not breathe well. My feet are usually always cold, but man, this model makes them crazy hot. I'm contemplating puncturing a few holes down through the toe box.

I have put 500 miles on two pairs of lone peak 6. Just purchased a pair of lone peak 7 last week, the toe grip is not as great and is already coming apart after 8 miles. The sole grip isn't what the 6 is for sure (we need grip here in AZ). Just purchased another pair of 6s.

I have had the 3.0, 3.5, and 4.5 and 5.0. I The material they have used since abandoning the mesh at the toe of the 3.5 is very easily punctured. I have gone through three pairs that each got hole in the material from continuous great toe contact that formed well before the tread is worn. Really wish they would fix it because otherwise love the shoe and fit. Make the toe box puncture proof like the 3.5 version!

The sizing feels off for me personally on this one; to narrow. Also, the colors and aesthetic is unappealing.

These don't even feel like a LP. Too narrow and cheap feeling. Lost your edge Altra. Am returning for a refund.

The major plus - A true wide with plenty of room in toe box.The white with light blue was super attractive color combo. On trend. The minus - Major heel slip. Kind of wide front to back. The fabric - just OK. Not gonna lie, they look like baby shoes or duck feet, etc. But if you like Mary Jane style, you might be good with that! I like more traditional athletic shoes. For street, I would wear old school Nike or Vans if I still could. I'm having multiple foot issues, so hoping for better style. So far Brooks Glycerin and Glycerin GTS Wide are working the best and not embarrassing to wear.

I'm going to guess I've owned about 12 pairs of Lone Peaks (and just about one or more of every other Altra model) and I've worn them for every hiking and backpacking adventure for the past 6 years. I consider them to be my most valuable piece of outdoor gear! I've also been an unofficial ambassador of Altra. I have converted many friends and family because of my love for the Lone Peaks. Not once have I had to break Lone Peaks in. I normally put them on and fly up the trail with no issues. I even bought a brand new pair that I put on the day I left for a 170-mile thru hikethat's how much I've trusted these shoes to be perfect. Until the LP 7 came along. It has some great improvementsdefinitely a more durable upper, better traction, and more ventilation. I especially appreciate the extra durability, as that has typically been the only downfall to the LP. Unfortunately, some of the other changes alter this shoe in such a way that I couldn't bring myself to buy ittrust me when I say that I was heartbroken (as well as dazed and confused) to walk away without a new pair of LPs. The fit, insole, and heel all felt unlike previous models. There seemed to be less "overhead clearance" in the toe box. Not quite enough volume. I felt contours underfoot, particularly around the heel area that would surely be bothersome after a few miles. The heel counter just felt wrong, whereas in the past it was imperceptible. Overall, it felt a bit too narrow even though it is supposed to have the original fit. I know a lot of people are complaining about colors. Personally, I think Altra has some room for improvement with colorways in general (although the Brown LP Hiker 2 couldn't be more perfect). They usually come out with at least one color option in the LP that I like, but I like both bright and muted colors. That being said, this is a trail shoe and should offer appropriate colors for dirty adventures. Some more natural colors that compliment the outdoor environment AND some fun, colorful options. As others have said, there should always be a black option and the outsoles/mid soles should be darker colors. I tried on the Dark Red, but let me say that it was better in person than on the website. More of a deep fuchsia than a dark red. Unfortunately, colors make no difference when the shoe doesn't feel right. I suppose if you are new to Lone Peaks, you might love the shoe, but if you have a 6-year love story with LPs, the LP 7 won't give you happily-ever-after vibes. In spit if this, I'll still recommend that you at least try this model on. Your feet are not mine and your feet might find these shoes to be their new favorite home!

I've been wearing Lone Peaks and other Altra shoes for a few years. Lone peaks were my favorite by far. I'm disappointed to see they have narrowed the width even further. The same size shoe from the LP6 to LP7 is almost half an inch more narrow! The width and shape of Altras is the strongest point. Please bring the original width back. Also, the color selection this round of the LP could be way better.

I bought these shoes for hiking and have liked them for that purpose. I have another pair of Altra's for running. I recently went for a walk in my Lone Peak hiking shoes and noticed something was rubbing on my heal. Upon inspection I noticed that there is a plastic "card" in the heal area that had poked through the fabric lining of the inside of the shoe and rubbed my heal (Bleeding) in less than a mile of walking. I was shocked to find this and promptly threw the shoes away. These shoes were about 1 year old and only used for hiking. I don't think I will buy them again for this reason. And yes, color selection is horrible.

I have used the shoes for walking a couple of times per week for about 7 months. The back heal cushion on the shoe has completely fallen out and I'm unable to wear them. For the price and how I used them, I expected they would last longer.

My first pair (I think LP 5) lasted a long time, hiking and walking. My current pair's tread started wearing out after about 6 months. Also the women's colors are just vile, while the mens always have more variety and nicer color combinations. Why? An ugly shoe is one thing, but one that doesn't perform like it used to at almost $200? Who are the geniuses behind these decisions?

I ordered a full size larger and they were still too short. Speaking of short...I couldn't even tie them because the laces were too short! Since I couldn't wear these shoes, I can't comment on the arch support or comfort.

I love my Altra Superiors and have been running in them for years. I wanted to see how a little extra cushion would feel as I start ramping up my mileage to train for a race. Plus, I love the baby blue color. Fortunately I tried them on a short flat run on a trail. They were so uncomfortable I couldn't wait to get home and take them off. I think the sole is too stiff and the laces felt too high on my foot. I'll have to see if another model works or if I need to return to my trusty Superiors.

I have been a loyal LP wearer for 5 years starting at the LP5. I got two pairs of 7s for xmas in the women's wide and they're already tearing on the inner part by my big toe. Less than 50mi. Switching brands :(

It is not wide toe box and the laces come loose all the time. Should have returned them but I did not and now use occasionally you need to make wide toe box and wider shoes.
