My husband has been very into foot shaped shoes recently and when I needed new sneakers convinced me to try these. I have a very wide foot and also need a wide toe box. These were great! Glad they came in wide width because I definitely needed it for tv space around the arch. I'd love to see some more options in wide width with a little more cushion.

I e been wearing the Lone Peaks since Lone Peak 4
Which were by far my favorite shoe and fit the best! They've changed the looks and not for the better but still a great hiking shoe!

I finally found a new wide shoe that will work for me for walking distances (e.g. half marathons). My foot doctor has recommended zero drop & specifically Altras. I have had 2 prior pairs that worked well but are now worn out. Given it was time for a new pair, I tried 2 other models of Altras, but each time a model was updated it became too narrow for me (including the wides). And even though these are 'trail shoes', they seem to work equally well on paved community trails & streets. I just wish the wide came in a color that won't show all the street grime immediately. It's such a shame to see new shoes look cruddy by the time they are broken in. Altra should realize that it doesn't do much to encourage others to ask about or consider Altras when they always look dirty!!

The only issue I have is that the laces are way too short. The company doesn't supply replacements replacements which is a disappointment.

I love these shoes. This is my third pair of Lone Peaks and they keep getting better. BUT, this season's W's colors are so bad - I thought about buying a men's version for the better color selection

I love the lonepeaks I have had about 6 pairs so far. As a pe teacher they are very comfortable. However, as someone else stated who is coming up with these colors????? I mean can't there be a simple black. I would rather have black and have it match my work clothes than have to hate picking between colors that are to bright and ugly to colors that are too light and get dirty too quick. There used to be black when I first started ordering so maybe the 4s or 5s? or maybe the 3s but ever since then I have had a hard time trying to find a color I would like to wear.

This is my favorite shoe of all time and I have a few different ones. It fits great and is the best shoe for the trails I encounter in the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest. And also a great everyday shoe that feels natural and better on my feet than any outer. I really hate the color ways though. I agree with the person who said they seem like stereotypes of what men think women want. Please no more of the 1980s pinks and purples! Please no more light and tan upper soles that show mud no matter what if you give the shoes any kind of workout in the field where it's not totally dry. I would like the lower part NOT to be white. My favorite colors were the dusty olive with pink accents. Some of the greens are ok but they are usually too light with a white lower part the shows dirt immediately. Please make the shoes more appealing non stereotypical colors and stop using so much white and light tan on the women's shoes. We get just as dirty when we run on muddy trails. Not all of us wear all pink, purple, coral, and white.

These shoes are comfortable for daily walking. The color is a bit out of my comfort zone for running shoes. My heels and arch feel supported

I like how this shoe fits my feet with bunions. It is comfortable but I didn't have any choice of colors and do not care for this color. I like the flatter shoe strings that stay tied better. But with this pair they are a hair too short for double tying. That is much better than too long though! On the whole, happy with this shoe!

I purchased these after returning a pair of Hoka hiking shoes and I'm very happy with how they fit and perform. We are training to do the Tour du Mont Blanc in July and so far, I'm impressed. The only thing I would change is a little more cushion for the tougher terrain. I'm thinking about getting the waterproof version as a second pair feeling pretty confident that they will be awesome too!

I am a diehard Altra fan. I just wish your women's shoes could have some of the color schemes you pick for the men shoes. For some reason, the majority of the colors available in the women's look like easter egg colors- mint/lilac/peach/pink. Not all women love pastels. Every time I see Altra male versions in your advertising I rush to the site hoping it is a female design. Never the case. Make my dream come true please! #altra4life

the laces are too short to make it to the last eyelet and the colors....eight awesome colors to but only two, show all the trail mud, pale colors in wide (the original width). sigh.

I have problem feet & need to wear quality footwear. I love the support and natural foot shape but I don't like the colors. I'd love to wear these at work but they look more workout than work.

I'm very happy with this shoe, but I don't think it will work as a full time trail running shoe for me. For my particular feet, I just need a more stable shoe. However, for a run/walk on the trails, these are great. Very soft (but not overly) and great traction. I love the purple color and they still look new. I have average to wide feet and these are the perfect width and have plenty of room in the front of the shoe. I usually wear a size 8.5 in most brands of running shoes, but found using my normal size of 8 would have been fine with these. These will be my new full time hiking shoes and also work if I want to do a shorter run on the trails as well. I did receive these shoes for free in exchange for my honest review.

Love the width, which helps to accommodate a bunion and lessen pressure due to arthritis! The uppers are fine, the soles wear-out much quicker than other great brands that I use :(

As an avid hiker I used these shoes alot in the last few weeks. They were so comfortable on my feet that I felt cushioning with every step! Nary a blister to be had. They were breathable and lightweight and stayed dry. The only drawback is that I felt they were unattractive looking hence the 4 stars. The purple color along with the duck bill top made them look unfashionable to me.

Wore these on some hikes recently and enjoyed them! I felt like they were stable while going up and down on rocky surfaces. The color is cute and the style is nice I didn't want hiking sneakers prior because they were just too ugly but these work well and are cute. Only thing that made them a 4 is that I felt like I could feel the rock as I stepped on it, so maybe a little thicker bottom? Would def buy again.

I love Toru on trails and pavement so having a good running shoe is really important. These runners did the job! They aren't the cutest but they are comfortable.

The color of these are super cute & they are extremely comfortable! However, I am a true 7 & they are about a half size too big. If I wear a thick pair of socks they work ok but I definitely need a half size down. I would love to actually buy a size that fits & use them as my daily workout shoes.

These shoes are so comfortable. Not crazy about the color but they are so comfortable and great for work or hiking! They're kind of big though.

These shoes are clearly very high quality. The outer is made from quite durable material and the bottom of the sole is super grippy. These are perfect for hiking and trail running. I do find that, as is typical for Altra shoes, the toe box is pretty wide. I myself have narrow toes and found it to be a bit too spacious for my preference. With that said, it leaves plenty of room for foot swelling from activity and I don't find the shoes to be any less comfortable with the wide toe box.

I love the super-grippy feel of this shoe. Fits true to size, cushy and comfortable. I like the color options too. Altra seems to alternate from bold to muted colors each year. Smart. Not everyone wants a drab-colored shoe, even if it hides dirt better. It's fun to have that pop of color! Some have commented that purple and pink is too girly: that may seem so online; but in reality the color combo works and is not at all obnoxious. I just wish Altra would bring back the little metal hook on top for use with gators

I have bought Ultra trail running shoes for hiking for years! I love them. The only shoe that fits my wide foot and, with orthotics, keeps my plantar fasciitis from returning.. However, I have a problem with wearing down the soles on the outside of my heels, so they don't last long. And, I must admit, the Ultra 7s are the ugliest colors I have ever seen. I may have to skip this year's model. Please go back to black & navy colors without weird accent colors. This year's blue looks purple and the pink accent is not to my taste.

I ordered the dark red, which in reality is more of a berry color, but ok. The heel is definitely not very snug and I have to lace up tighter to make up for that. Time will tell if the material holds up in the long run, the prior version did not last long enough (my Salomon's are still going strong whereas the Altra's upper came apart).

So I bought the really purple one - only color choice available. It's not as bad in person as it looks in the pictures. Definitely more narrow . Side by side the 6 is wider and it's very obvious when comparing the bottoms. Foot feel very supported and the cushion is really nice. I'm just having a hard time with the color choices.
I will add that your long time fans are growing weary of the continual changes that you continue adding. Nothing needed to be changed with the 6 and so I am done trying to voice my opinion because you don't seem to be listening.
Not super excited with the 7 but I don't have any choice if I want to continue wearing Altras.
