I love Altra. Usually run 3-5 miles in Paradigm 6 but since training for a half and doing runs of 10 miles plus I wanted to try something with more cushion. I got my via Olympus three weeks ago and love them!

These are my most comfortable shoes! I wear them most every day. I am not a runner, but a walker and I have multiple issue with my feet, and these help a lot. I really wish the women's Olympus came in the same "mineral blue" as the men's. I would buy them as soon as they are available.
I'd also recommend:

Fabulous, loved them! Extremely comfortable and wide enough. Would have kept them but they are not Pickleball shoes-best for running.

Fantastic recovery shoes. I usually wear more neutral soles for running, but decided to give these a try after a knee injury. They are so comfortable, easy on my knees and shins, and super cute! Not the fastest shoes, but great for distance runs or injury recovery.

Good cross trainers and they don't hurt my toes! I suffer the combined effects of high heels and pointy toes for too long. Have loved Torins for > a decade but recent design changes are not working for me. Sure hope this Olympus model color styles are expanded soon!

I use my Altra shoes for walking. The toe box is wide enough that my toes don't hurt like in other shoes. A friend recommended Altra brand to help with shin splints as she is a runner. I haven't had shin splint pain walking in Altra! Awesome!

Fit is great, very comfortable, and width is perfect. Several 5-7 mile runs without blistering or raw spots, cushioning is great! The price is a bit steep but worth it. Only drawback is the last eyelet is a slit, making it hard to get the shoelace through it. I had to compress the end of the lace with pliers to get it through. All in all a very minor complaint! I love the original Altra foot shape which is part of the reason for this purchase. I hope the original foot shape will be continued for this and other Altra offerings. I normally wear a 5 1/2 women's shoe, but the 6s are perfect with thicker socks.

I normally get a 9.5 Altra shoe. It was too small. I reordered in a 10. It is perfect.

Thank you Altra, for listening and continuing to develop shoes for the many different foot issues among us. Stiff enough for hallux rigidus and soft enough for neuroma relief. THANK YOU! And I love the gray!

Not only is this shoe stylish, it also delivers when it comes to cushion and comfort! I love the higher stack height for super cushy miles. While I wouldn't take this one out for a marathon, it's perfect for shorter training runs and even just for running errands! Love the space in the toe box, as always, and the lightweight upper allows for breathability.

I do love these shoes. And I do use them for their intended purpose at least three days a week. They soak up the miles on a soft-but-not-to-soft cushy sole, with a form-fitting comfy upper. No pinch point, no discomfort, and ready to rock right out of the box, They just feel so light and bouncy! These shoes are the best, most comfortable, cushiony athletic shoes I've ever worn. I have an old ACL knee injury so love the cushion to save/protect my knee. Totally recommend!!!

I had exhausted all my options for getting another pair of Torin Plush 4.5's, so hanging on to my last usable pair while exploring other Altra models. I purchased a pair of the Vanish and a pair of Via Olympus, and they offer different running experiences. The Vanish is super fast (I shaved off seconds from my 400 m track intervals) and super light on your feet. The Via Olympus feels like you have a lot of shoe on your feet and the rocking motion takes a bit of getting used to - the Torin being entirely flat. The stack height of the Via Olympus means you don't have that connection to the ground the Torin provided. So when I had to choose between the Torin and the Via Olympus for a marathon a couple of weeks ago, I played it safe and chose the familiar Torin. I do think the Via Olympus is a great addition to the Altra line, has the traditional wide toe box and the cushioning is great for long runs.

Wore these to a concert and to Disneyland. At the concert, it wasn't that comfortable just standing but at Disneyland, I walked over 40 miles that week and my feet were great!

I am a lifelong runner. I have been using the same model of shoes for the last 15 years. This was the first time I tried Altra's Via. They are simply amazing. The wide toebox didn't result in any pinching with each strike. The heel cup was the right size for me (I have smaller/narrower heels). The generous platform cushioning made for a stable and shock-free stride. No pronation. Minimized the strike shock to my hips and back. First run in my Via's and I went 3 miles without stopping for adjustment. Felt like a gazelle running on clouds. There was no need to break them in. Via's are true to size.

I personally have been trying to find the perfect shoe for years! As a runner & walker I have always looked for shoes that would be right for my ankles and provide plenty of cushioning. Look no further as you will definitely get that with the new Altra Via Running Shoes.

I am 36 years old and regularly run half marathons. Lately I've been having knee issues and had sit out races. I received these just as I was getting into double digit miles. Other than being a bit too wide in the toe box these shoes have been a dream! I look forward to my race in 3 weeks!

I really love how comfortable the new VIA is. It supports me all day for work and also enables me to run more than I would be able to on a shoe with lower cushion. I like how the rocker feels in my stride as well!

I wore my new shoes to a concert and I just loved them. The wedge on the heel made me taller (I'm shorter, so that's always a bonus). Also, a few people even complimented me on my shoes. Since it's cooler weather now, I will be wearing these shoes with jeans or sweats and always be comfy and cozy, but also ready to take off in a sprint if necessary! A must buy.

I received these shoes for free to try out from BzzAgent. My normal running shoe size of 8.5 fit perfectly and the toe box is super wide and roomy! I pronate and stabilizing shoes usually feel heavy on my feet but the Altra Women's Via feel light. There is plenty of cushion and I did not need any kind of inserts to run comfortably. I tied my laces like I normally do to combat any heel slipping and it worked perfectly. After wearing them for a few weeks, they are still holding up well with no visible signs of any issues.

I will be honest in that I was a little nervous to try out these shoes. For years, the shoe industry has been leading us to believe that the slimmest & most lightweight shoe is the best for running. So, when I unboxed these and saw how massive they were, I will be honest that I nearly immediately told myself that I would not be wearing these. But, I moved past that and strapped myself into these for a nice run. Man was I wrong! Despite the size of the shoe, they feel extremely light weight. They provided so much support and cushioning. I felt like my feet were receiving exactly the amount of support that they needed with each foot strike on the pavement.

These shoes provide so much cushion while still being supportive! It has a bigger toe box than what I'm typically used to but now that I've worn them, I like the roominess. I got my usual running shoe size, size 10, and they fit great. I really like these as a recovery shoe for easy miles. And the rocker shape is great because it helps to propel you forward.
