Very disappointed with the durability of a trail shoe. I have only had them for about 4 weeks. Love Altra but hate that they cannot handle trail carnage. Very disappointing because I have a two day race in 4 weeks.

I went with the size I wear in the trail Olympus and they were way too small, then went up a half size and they were still too tight in the toe box and killed my feet. These are not original fit. Disappointed.

Altra is not producing the quality shoe as in years past. Ordered this shoe in a size 8.5 in orange and it fit my size 8 foot. Ordered the same only in blue and the blue is too big. will need to look for another brand as my 'go to' for sneakers.

Like other reviewers, I am frustrated with this shoe. I bought the original width thinking it would be like my old Torins. I have been trying them out for about a week and my pinky toe area hurts after wearing them for more than a half an hour. I am a PE teacher and on my feet a lot. I need the wider toe box back!! Otherwise, the shoe is comfy and cushioning is goodwhich makes it hard to give them up. I am torn, but will probably be returning.

I bought my first pair of Altras a year ago and loved the Original fit. My foot is on the wider side, but sometimes an actual wide fit it too roomy. So the Original fits seemed to be a dream come true. I ordered my second pair with confidence. I wore them a couple times and my feet cramped after each wear - too narrow! Ugh. It's a beautiful and comfortable shoe (minus the cramped fit). Not sure where to go from here if the Original fit is too narrow and a wide isn't offered in any ladies style.

I bought these as I was dealing with some metatarsalgia and needed a bit more support. I always buy a half size up and these didn't fit I needed a whole size up and those were too big and felt sloppy. . they push my feet too far forward to the front of the shoe although the cushioning was nice, but the stack height changed my stride. and foot strike. For cushioning and comfort I'll stick with the paradigm.

I was so hopeful these would feel soft and cushiony like Hoka Cliftons. Instead they feel like running on a piece of wood. What's the point of a huge stack height when it's stiff and uncomfortable? Please, please make the next version softer!

Needed to replace my Torrin luxe which I've worn for years! I can't find anything near as comfortable with Altra. I was told the Via Olympus replaced the Torrin Luxe. If that was the case it feels completely different. It reminds me of the Hoka which doesn't offer me enough cushion for my Morton's neuroma. I'm SO disappointed. Please bring back the cushioned Torrin Luxe. It was a wonderful shoe for long days on your feet. Probably returning.

I really wanted to love these shoes. So much so, I bought them 3 times. I have 5 pairs of Altra so I'm familiar with the sizes. I've always been a 10 in running shoes and a 9.5 in walking/hiking. I bought these in a 10 and they were too big. I then got them in a 9.5 and they were way too small. So then got them in a 8.5 men's and they fit great. I wore them for a 5.3 mile run and during the run my toes were going numb, my shins were on fire. The next day I couldn't walk without shin pain. As a loyal Alta consumer I really wanted to love these but I'm going to have to stick with Hoka for running shoes.

LOVE the trail olympus version and was really excited for these. They fit wonderful and felt great at first but after the first month of gentle use I felt a noticeable difference in the cushioning, as though it was completely compressed and became very hard and uncomfortable. Now just 3 months in, they are actually causing me foot pain. I'm not even a runner! Just using them for every day use, and I'm not a large person either. I'm really upset because they are so expensive. I wish I could get a refund but it's past the return period. SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED!

Okay look, the function of this shoes is good. I think I may prefer my old Toru Plush shoes though, they are a bit softer feeling. I've used it for about 2 months so far and like these as a winter road shoe option to my beloved Olympus trail runners. But WHY do these shoes look like a unicorn threw up on them?!?!? WHY! These are the ugliest shoes I've ever owned. All of the men's smaller sizes were sold out in the blue when I got these probably because the women's shoe looks awful. Altra.. I love your shoes but your design team needs HELP. They don't provide enough options for women that aren't hideous and the result is the men's small sizes are often out of stock. Is there a relationship there? YES. Please just make some modern, neutral colored shoes. It isn't that hard. Give me an totally black shoe. Something that I can wear without being totally saddened by my ugly feet. Please just go look at literally any other shoe company to get inspiration for shoe colors. Please. You are not doing a good job at aesthetic and you need help.

I was disappointed after trying the shoe on and it was not true to size. I have several pairs of Altra shoes in the same size and don't have issues. My toes were so squished I had to send them back.

Disappointing Experience with Running Shoes I recently purchased the running shoes, hoping they would be a reliable addition to my running gear. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. After running just 5 miles, I developed huge blisters on my feet. The shoes felt comfortable initially, but it became clear that they lack the necessary support and cushioning for longer runs. The material seems to cause excessive friction, which led to the painful blisters. While the design and aesthetics of the shoes are appealing, the performance and comfort are severely lacking. I would not recommend these shoes for anyone looking to run longer distances. It's disappointing to invest in a product that doesn't meet basic comfort standards.

I can't describe what's is wrong with the shoe. I run two miles and my toes so numb. Not too big or small. Maybe the outer sole? These shoes hurt. Wear my escalates and it's fine. So sad. Wasted money.

This version of Altras' Olympus has a very strange location for the arch support and it's soooo uncomfortable. It's way too far back toward the heel and it kinda feels like it hits a pressure point and it hurts like heck!! I thought maybe it would settle in if I wore them and it warmed up, so I wore around my house for a couple hours... Never settled. So I did a Google search and found on the Altra subreddit that everyone seems to be having the same issue with these. Altra is usually a brand that fits really well and is comfortable. This model is a terrible representation of their brand.

I normally wear paradigms, but was looking for something with a lot of cushioning. I tried these, but the heel cup tipped my foot in too much and caused some alignment problems. I returned them and went back to Paradigms. These shoes may work for other people, but just not for me.

I'd give it a zero if I could for clunkiness and looking like my grandmother is wearing them-( except for the height of the sole.). I love Atra Paradigm 6's from 2 yrs ago- seems they changed as did the 7'. Need a wide toe box and narrow heel. These were so so ugly, bulky, and I would not wear them out. I bought the back air, too much black too, as the color combos Altra puts out really needs some help. Returned. Still looking for sneakers tome my toes happy.
