But I had the opportunity to try on the Clifton 8 the other day. The toe box room IS GONE in this model. They are comfortable, but require a break in for not-quite-wide feet that really enjoyed the previous model. Love the cushion and structure.

I ordered black HOKA and I receive grayish. I can't wear that color at work. I am dissatisfied for the price that I paid and to get the wrong color.

I've been wearing Cliftons for years - have had probably 15+ pairs of 5s, 6s, 7s, and 8s. The 9s run really large and wide. Normal size was massively too big, and so wide I don't know that sizing down would work. Padding/fit is also quite different, and IMO much overdone. They feel less stable and more bouncy than past Cliftons. Please bring back older style Cliftons!! I'm on my last pair of 8s I had stashed!

Loved the comfort of the shoe at first but for some reason they gave me blisters in the first week

It is way too big. Not to size. Seems like wide width in the front part of the shoe.

I have been wearing this style for several years now. The new ones are definitely not as comfortable. I'm disappointed to say the least! I regret buying 3 pair!

I have several pairs of the Clifton 8 and wanted to get some more before my current ones were completely worn out. I could not find the Clifton 8 in my size in the color I wanted, so I thought I'd get the Clifton 9. Within a few days of wearing the Clifton 9, I started having trouble with plantar fasciitis again. Whatever changes they made to the Clifton 9 are horrible for me.

Very uncomfortable

Clifton 8s were a much better sneaker compared to the Clifton 9s. For some reason, the 9s hurt my feet and have made my plantar fasciitis flare up. Please bring back the 8s!!!

I became a huge fan of Hoka when I purchased my first pair in 2021. I am not sure of the "name" of the ones I purchased because I loved them so much I wore out all wording within the shoe (and wore holes in the outsole). Fast forward to June 2023, and I purchase the Clifton 9 recommended to me by the sales associate. They felt amazing - until they didn't. I have only had these for 6 months and they no longer have support. I was hoping they would last at least a year since I no longer run, walk only and shorter distances. I haven't given up on Hoka, just disappointed these didn't hold up like my first pair.

For me this shoe was not nearly as cushiony as my Clifton 8s. My Clifton 8s were cushiony from the get go. I'm returning these shoes and will try a different style of Hoka's. I love my Clifton 8s and wear them all the time. I was disappointed with the Clifton 9s.

It's causing pain on my achilles

So disappointed in the Clifton 9. Looks great but toe box is narrower and not as flexible as the Clifton 8. this is a big problem for me due to bunions. The cushioning is not as soft as the old Cliftons. Will have to find a new shoe after loving the Cliftons for years.

Perhaps I'm a fan of the cushioned hokas of a bygone era. The Bondi 6s/7s and Clifton 8s were revolutionary for me but the Bondi 8s and now the Clifton 9s don't seem to have the same sort of cushion/feeling under foot as the previous models. Still a big fan of this brand and I'm currently loving the Mach X and my recovery slides.

This size 10 was a lot bigger than my previous Clifton purchases and when I went for a run it proved to be a lot different too. The side of my foot has not stopped aching and I won't be wearing these again.

The shoes makes you look like a clown. They have something at the end that makes you look 2 sizes bigger. Also the gray on them makes them look old and worn out. The only positive is that they are comfortable.

I have always loved Hokas but they do not last a year. The tread on mine are completely gone and it hasn't been a year. I have had to replace my last 2 pair after 6-8 months. It's a lot of money to spend on shoes that don't last. I contacted Hoka about the tread being gone and they wouldn't replace them since I bought from a different store.

This is my 7th pair of Hokas and I was looking forward to them. By the second week of wearing them my right foot became painful by mile 2 but as soon as I removed the shoe my foot was fine. I've gone back to my older Cliftons and will exchange the new ones for Bondi's. All the hokas are redesigned often so I'm guessing this redesign may be the issue.

Have purchased many, many pairs of Hoka shoes. By far, my favorite shoe; buy them for employees too. We work on our feet all day installing furniture, artwork, etc. and Hokas were recommended by a podiatrist. Been wearing only them for past 2 - 3 years. Purchased this pair for my daughter's Birthday present on 10/29... it's now 11/13 and they still haven't shown up yet!! VERY Disappointed. Her Birthday was 11/10!

Unfortunately this Hoka does not serve me well. They're attractive, comfortable and cushy. However I bought them to provide a good shoe for city walking which this is not for me. I have pronation and require a sturdy walking shoe. I'm disappointed given the description of this shoe led me to think it would be a good choice for my needs.

Ordered my normal size 9 in Hokas - never had an issue. These arrived, I threw away the box and put them on for work as an RN. Realized quickly they were about a 1/2 - whole size to big

prefer the Clifton 8-very uncomfortable in the back because it goes up too high-whole shoe is higher and really not comfortable but I will keep trying it..
