I loved the Clifton 8, but the new Clifton 9 - not so much. I found that there was not enough cushion in the foot bed resulting in pain underneath my feet while using the treadmill. Also, the toe box felt a little snug even though I ordered a wide. Sadly, I will be returning the shoes even though I loved the stylish all black color. Please bring back the comfort of the Clifton 8.

I like my new shoes! I may have gotten them to large (10.5) but I am still getting used to them. Very roomy in the foot bed and by the heel.

Not what I expected

My mother had talked about Hokas and wanted to try them as she has plantar fasciitis. Ordered these for her as a surprise. She literally will not wear anything else. She loves them and can't wait for her next pair! I sized up a 1/2 size and they are perfect.

I have narrow feet and this shoe was too wide for me. I also felt base was very hard, like walking on rocks.

I buy for cushion- I have to say , Hakas just don't seem to have the same amount of cushioning as they once did. It's disappointing.

I bought these to go on walks, nothing major, would be five stars if waterproof! Thought they were going to be, keeping them anyway.

This is one of the most comfortable shoe I have bought in many years. I bought a pair for running, training and walking. It's like clouds on your feet but you feel what a stable shoe it is. I tired this shoe as everyone at the gym was talking about Hoka and many members had a pair. So, I decided to try Hoka. Now I am sold!

I have been a nurse for 28 yrs and just bought my first pair of Hokas 8 or 9 months ago. I am on my feet for most of 12 to 13 hours per shift. I now own 5 pair because they have impacted me so much for the good. Well worth the money!!

I have worn the last 3 versions of this shoe and this one is just as amazing on fit, support and comfort. Great quality shoe. Worth every penny.

The cushioning on these hokas is great. The one thing thats a problem is that I have a 9 1/2 in the regular width but because of a foot problem I needed some extra room so I bought the 9 1/2 in a wide. I can't feel any difference. When I hold them up to each other and press them against each other To compare sizes I also don't see any difference. I know that the wide versus the regular is a very small amount but I think in the case of hokas it needs to be a bit larger.a little bit more room in the toe box for a wide.

like walking on a cloud. took a little getting use to after my other shoes, but after 3 weeks, feels fine.

I need a good shoe with a wide toe area and the Clifton's work great. I play pickleball on an outdoor court.

Very comfortable, roomy and a great cushioned walk for my all day on my feet job. However, I need to be aware of my weight distribution (140 lbs female) because tilting a little forward will roll my feet and cause me to catch myself. Backward as well, but less often. As long as I stay aware, they are otherwise great shoes.

I bought the Clifton 9. The shoes are very well cushioned on the bottom which I like very much. However, there is something rubbing on the side of my right heel that is not comfortable but I can't identify what is is.

Good shoe, but the Bondi 7 was the best shoe Hoka made. They changed this shoe when they rolled out the Bondi 8 which is why I had to change to the Clifton. May go back to my old favorites made by different brands after these wear out

I try to wear my Hoka shoes as often as possible. It really helps with foot pain.

The Cliftons are very comfy and supportive but they do rub on the side of my feet ( on the outside of my big toe)My problem with my wide feet I assume!

Walking. Feels like you are walking on air. Very comfortable.

The cushioning took a little getting used to but, now I love the feel. My legs are not as tired after my walks when I wear these shoes. I tried them after hearing they last 2-3x longer than other name brand walking shoes. I haven't had them long enough yet to know. So far after a month of daily use, I see little wear.

This is my first pair of Clifton 9's. I purchased them to help with my supination. The neutral cushioning is 100% perfect. These are so comfortable that I intend to purchase another pair for everyday wear. Love the black color with subtle pink.
