I’ve been a Hoka fan for years. For my long walks, the Bondi has been amazing. Thought I’d try the Clifton. I’m not sure what’s the difference between the two models, but after several walks in the Clifton, I experienced leg and back pain. Switched back to an old pair of Bondi’s and the pains have subsided. Really wish I hadn’t walked too much in the Clifton’s so I could return them. Have purchased a new pair of Bondi’s

First time purchasing and had to be my last. Although these shoes were customized for healthcare worker comfort, they opposed comfort and caused tremendous pain in my arch and heel. It was so painfulI required medical treatment. Everything isn't for everyone and these shoes are not it for me. I still like the style and colors of the shoes tho.

I have and love the Clifton 8. The Clifton 9 is a seriously cheaper shoe. Will never buy this brand again

Dearest Zappos, as a proud owner of the Clifton 8 I bought the Clifton 9 with great anticipation! I threw the box away and was excited for my first shift at work with my new kicks only to realize these are the worst! The extra cushioning in this new model, leaves the shoe feeling unstable and I woke up with the worst Achilles/calf pain after my shift. The arch support feels non existent as the marshmallow bottom melts away under your foot. Is there anyway with no box and a few wears I could exchange these for another shoe? I spent $150 on these and they are one of the worst shoes I’ve ever owned. I’m super disappointed but understand I shouldn’t have thrown the box away until I knew for sure! Let me know if you can help me in anyway! Thanks!

Shoes are OK but for the price they are substandard. Cushioning on heel feels fine but the ball of my foot needs a bit more.

These shoes are horrible! Every step I take sounds like I'm stepping on a mouse. They squeak so much it's annoying

I am a nurse that is on their feet for 12 hour shifts. These are the most uncomfortable shoes that I have ever worn. Should have stuck to my Asics.

The cushion and stride of shoe is great but the arch is designed to support and instead causing severe arch pain. It shouldn't be there if this is a neutral shoe. The cushion comes up on the medial posterior part of the foot/arch/ankle. This raised area causes pain in the foot/arch after running. After reviewing other reviews and blogs, this seems to be a bad issue with Hokas. I have ordered a wide and the issue is just as bad although customer service lied and said it fix it.. Really disappointing.

The fit on my right foot causes a pain on the side. Both pairs that were purchased do the same. My Hokas 7 & 8s don't have this problem.

Tried to exchange shoes. Was told it takes one month to exchange. Chat doesn't work during normal hours. Text doesn't work during normal hours. Was told sorry nothing we can do to help. Too many other brands. DO NOT BUY.

I have had a handful of Mach 5 running shoes, with no problems. Got a pair of these and have the worst outside knee pain I've ever had. Wish I could return.

Previously had a pair of Clifton 8's and loved them! When the 8's wore out I purchased a Clifton 9 because I couldn't find an 8 in my size. Wore the 9's for 1 day and found that they were extremely painful under both ankles. Fortunately Hoka has a great return policy. Not sure what I will do for my next pair.

So, you introduce a new color and forget all the customers that require wide sizing. Why???

The inside material of this shoe located near the top 2 lace holes came completely frayed. Just seemed like an absolutely terrible design. The heel cup of this shoe pushes your foot so far forward that your toes will be touching the front of the shoe unless you go .5 size up, again just terrible design.
I ordered these shoes to wear to a theme park because I was told they were the best for walking and I paid for expedited shipping so I would have them in time. However I will be returning them.

I am runner for the past 25 plus years, always wore New Balance or Hoka...however, after a run in my new hoka Clifton 9 I injured my foot so badly I couldn't walk for weeks. I loved the Clifton 8 and had to go back wearing them (much more support/cushion) . Wish I returned them after wearing them once....now I just ordered New Balance 1080.

In the online pictures, you really can't tell that they have very reflective lighting bolt type lines on the shoes, I didn't mean to order disco shoes.

Runs very narrow after my foot surgery my foot will swell after activity or during cold wet months in southern Illinois not sure why there aren't more selections in Wide or so soft I need stability and I'm finding that's not an option anymore with Hoka

Heard good things just didn’t fit my foot. Toe box too small and overall too narrow. Maybe extra wide would work better.

After wearing the shoes for a couple of weeks they started squeaking when I walk. I went to a local Hoka dealer and they told me they were defective. If I had bought them there they told me they would exchange them but I bought direct from Hoka. To much of a pain to deal with it

After one month of moderate use the sole is ALREADY falling of my shoes. When contacting customer support, I was told I need to ship this pair of trash to the company to "determine" they are indeed trash. This is despite sending pictures of the sole coming off and the receipt of when I purchased this pair of garbage. So now I need to go out and buy a new pair of shoes to wear while my Hokas are being "evaluated". Unbelievable. Do not buy from this company!!!

I ordered this shoe on 5/16/23 for the 23-24 school year. I began wearing this shoe in September and the shoes are tore up already. I've ordered many pairs of Hoka Shoes and never had any of them tear up on my like these have. I'm highly disappointed and devasted. The bottom and sides of the shoes have come unglued.
