Long time Clifton user. I ordered two pairs (a Clifton 8 and Clifton 9) on May 24th. The top edge of the Clifton 9 is digging into the inside of my ankle. Uncomfortable for long runs. Used only twice, and stopped wearing. The Clifton 8 feels great.

This is 2nd pair that falls apart so quick. They are so comfortable though. Unfortunately I may have to pass on future purchases.

These shoes don't offer anything modern for a running shoe. They're not breathable, have pathetic arch support, and don't feel good on foot. Running in crocs or barefoot is easier than running in these bottom heavy dumpsters. Would not recommend hoka for any road running shoe/gear

I purchased them on may 5th today is the 2st I have 64 miles on them so far and the soles are about worn out. I doubt I'll make it to 100 miles before they are completely done. The inside of the shoe is very comfortable. When you spend this much on a shoe I expected to get more then a month out of them.

Not a good shoe. Not comfortable for over an hour. Will stick to brooks. I will be returning mine

Too stiff and blistered my feet even after a few different distance runs. Not a fan of the Clifton's but loved the Arahi's. Need to get a different pair

Awful shoes. Overhyped garbage that are too narrow.

I bought one pair of these and 1 pair of GDefys There is no comparison Hoka shoes I bought are cheap and do not feel good at all.

Clifton 7s & 8s were just an AMAZING feeling and looking sneaker. Why would you change it from being breathable mesh to that cheesy material? Hope with Clifton 10 you take it back to its roots

I wrote these for a day and was told they look terrible. Also told they look like old man orthopedic shoes. And I agree with both opinions. Even if I could put up with how awful they look, there was something wrong with the bottoms or something. The shoes caused my knees to bend towards each other. I looked like I had broken legs when walking. No other shoe I have ever worn in my entire life have done that. I had really high hopes for these but returned immediately.

I have been wearing older models of the Clifton with my most recent model being the 7's where I tend to buy multiple units to store and use as needed. I totally missed the major changes with the 8's and the new 9's were a huge surprise to me. I was very unhappy with the reduced quality including only having one side of the tongue gusseted, reduced lacing points and what appears to be a change in the fit/last used to make the shoe. I always go up a half size on Hoka shoes Vs my actual size and wore Hoka's to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. The changes to this shoe has caused me to move to a different brand to get the fit and quality I expect and am willing to pay for. Too bad Hoka missed it on this one by cheapening the shoe and raising the price to boot.

I am so disappointed. I had heard great things about these shoes. My boyfriend gets about 20,000 steps in at work and his feet hurt. I spent a lot of money getting him this gift but they seem to make his feet hurt.

Right out of the box my husband loved these shoes and said they were comfortable. After all day of working in them he gave them back to me and told me to take them back. They gave him blisters and he was in pain all day!

I love my Clifton 7s, but the cuff on these really dug into my ankle. I thought it would improve over time but I was mistaken. They rubbed sores on the bottom of the lateral malleolus of both ankles. I kept them too long to return them so I gave them away.

I have another pair of hokas and they are very comfortable. I have issues with my right foot and the Clifton 9 hurt and feel more tight.

after a month of wearing these shoes, the tread started to fall off. a couple weeks after all the tread on the left shoe came off, and some on the right. cloth fraying on the back. pretty horrible quality, and customer service informed me that it was up to the warehouse to determine if it would be refunded. all damage from normal every day wear and tear.

This is my third pair of Hokas (Bondi and Clifton) over the course of 10 years. All have given me blisters on the pads under my 1st MTP joints as a result of running (10-25 miles/wk). Not sure why. I initially purchased as recommended by orthopedic surgeon before considering surgery for bone spur in right 1st MTP. Admittedly, a previously broken right ankle has modified my right foot landing. And the blisters are more prominent on the right foot. Nonetheless, no other brands (Nike, Asics, Adidas, Salomon) have given me blisters. Surely Hokas work for others, but I'm done with them.

I bought these and within a week of ordering, I am unable to return! I never wore them.
