Came damaged. Left shoe looked liked it was already tried on. Insert had a significant folded crease in it. I took a picture, however no place to download on this review. Felt very uncomfortable in that area like somethingwas pushing up from underneath. Purchased on sale. So no replacement. Only refund money. Love my other Cliffton 9's. So, disappointed I'm just SOL. I did call customer service. Basically told oh well, it happens on rare occasions. Nothing we are going to do to make right except refund your money. Overall, very disappointed with Hoka.

The lump of insole under the arch is painful it can ruin your feet if you going to be doing a lot of walking.
I won’t ever trust Hoka again these are not for me!

Shoes felt really hard. I have heard nothing but good things about the brand but these felt real hard. I didn't feel any support in the shoe as far as the insoles go. I'm hoping the needed to be broken in but didn't have the time. So I'll stay with my nikes that are ready to go out of the box for now. Especially, since they are the same price

The shoe itself is great but the pair received from Zappos had clearly been worn- a lot. They were scuffed up and dirty on the upper fabric and the tread was worn down with rocks stuck in there. Clearly returned and no one check to see that shoes were in new condition.

Shoes are very comfortable however lasted less than 6 months as a hole has formed on the side of one of them. I’ve owned several Hokas and they def lasted longer. Even though there’s obviously a quality issue with these shoes, Zappos’ policy is that unworn shoes cannot be returned and refused to offer a better solution. Hence purchase at your own risk. Not recommended!

I normally wear New Balance, but bought these because everyone was raving about Hoka. I have a wide foot and the fit was fine, my issue was they were too cushy...it felt like walking on marshmallows. I need a lot more stability in my shoes. I returned them and bought another pair of New Balance and am happy.

The sides of the shoe rubbed against my ankle bone painfully. I returned them. Also, they make my feet look larger than other shoes do.

Purchased in June for my son who’s on his feet at work. Unfortunately he wore them in a pick-up basketball game after work and the side split on one shoe. So while they were comfortable for him, these shoes didn’t hold up in real life situations.

Very comfortable and has a soft ride. Unfortunately they have a very thin sole. They changed the sole from the previous model. I don’t think I have 60 miles on them and they’re trash. Very disappointed

I was very excited to get these shoes after reading reviews, and asking people in-person how they felt. Unfortunately, my feet hurt quite a bit wearing these, especially on the outer edge and top. I didn't want to return them immediately, because I figured I needed to break them in, but after a month, I think the verdict is in. These aren't for me.

I am disappointed that both pairs of Hoka's failed to provide me with any relief from neuropathy. Consequently, I wish to return both pairs for a full refund.

The only thing wrong with this shoe is how NOISY they are! Every step is a very loud "squeak" and it never got better after a small amount of use.

The Clifton 9 was a total disappointment. I've worn the Clifton 8's and love them... The support in the 9 just isn't there. Tried them for a few days and my feet were aching after a few hours.....

I bought these shoes for my son for his birthday. He needed a pair of athletic shoes with good support. He wanted to try Hoka's and received these the week of May 20th, 2024. He very much likes the way the feel on his feet but after wearing them for a little over a week they already have 2 holes in the toe box. Very disappointed in how they are holding up.
