Love the comfort, but when buying all black, I was hoping that they would be more stealth so that I could wear them to work. Other brands are this way. However these have several designs that are a shiny black with other designs that are flat black, which makes it very obvious that they are tennis shoes. Most other brands do a better job of this.

The shoes are a comfortable fit. The right shoe is great. The left shoe as soon as I put it on. It felt like my heal was turning in. I've walked on them for about a week to see if it would correct itself but it still has not. This may be why my left foot is still feeling uncomfortable and my right foot is not. They are great shoes but the left shoe does not feel like it fits correctly.

The shoe collar applies too much pressure to the inflamed nerve at the bottom of my outer ankle bone (peroneal tendonitis/nerve entrapment). Not saying this is a Hoka problem as much as it's a me problem. But has me wondering...are there any models that have a very low collar? Probably not, because it would likely let in debris. What about a non-typical high collar that comes up over the outer ankle bone? I mean it wasn't too long ago that runners scoffed at the unusually high heel cushioning of Hoka's, so...

I got these because Hoka is among the top rated for foot pain. I try to stand at my desk at work as much as possible, so I was looking for something to help with that. These shoes are so odd because when walking they feel better than any shoe I can remember wearing. But when standing still at my desk they just hurt; more than any other shoes I have. They're also more narrow feeling than I would expect a wide to feel, but I'm not positive if that's just part of the differently shaped insoles or not. I've worn them a week so far and still haven't truly decided if I'm going to keep them or not.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have worn for running/walking. The only downside is that the toe box is incredibly tight. I've never needed a wide in previous shoes, but these compress my feet terribly while running. I wish I could trade them in for wide pair. I will give HOKA's another shot in the future.

The Clifton 8 was better. Why is it necessary to change the design every year? If it ain't broke

This is my fourth pair of Hokas. I initially bought them because I rarely ifnd a 12.5 shoe size in anything. I've bought them since for the comfort and supportive cushioning. However, I typically wakk on the MKT Trail as wel as concrete roads and sidewalks. I have found that the sole degrades much faster than the rest of the shoe. You might put some attention to this area.

As an older guy with wide feet it's always a challenge for me to find comfortable lightweight shoes that will help make jogging for fitness tolerable. These shoes are just the ticket to replace my Clifton 8s that have started to show their wear. The soles are a little thicker than I prefer but they work just fine. I do appreciate the lack of any stiff logo or striping at the mid-foot which allows my extra wide feet to stretch out the side walls a little bit. Other shoes I've tried have caused rather painful hot spots on the outside of my feet in that area.

I was so excited to try a new Hoka style. Sadly, this was not as supportive as the Bondi. My foot needs a wider shoe.

Not as happy with the feel and comfort of the Clifton with very little price difference from the best Koka.

Had the Clifton 8, and thought that was a little narrow but ultimately ended up being one of my favorite running shoes. Picked up the Clifton 9 expecting the same and I gotta say, the shoe is so narrow around the arch support. I had to buy inserts to keep my arches supported. Having the same issues with my Kawana's. I've had 8-10 pairs Hoka and will continue to buy but PLEASE make this part of the shoe wider, not sure why this is becoming normal across your product lines.

The foot support is great. The support toward the front is lacking. I prefer a softer toe. Perhaps this wasn't the best shoe for me.i'm a larger running coming in at 215 lbs and this isn't enough support.

Shipment came in was a 6.5 woman's shoe I'm a size 13 men's . This would've been avoided if the person was paying attention to detail before sending it

Pretty disappointed with the width on these. I've worn regular width and wide width Hokas previously. I ordered the Clifton 9s in the wide width and was shocked to find them to be tight in the front half of the shoe. It's almost like they mid-marked regular width shoes as wides. I've tried on the regular width version in a different color and can't detect a difference. Unfortunately, I wore them for a couple of days to see if they just needed breaking in (would be new for Hokas in my experience) and now they are "used" and no longer eligible for return. Bummer.

I have the Clifton 8's and like them a lot. Gave these a shot and was very disappointed. The comfort just wasn't there. I wore them for a few minutes the first night, and didn't notice any great discomfort, but I wore them the other day for a couple hours, and my feet were uncomfortable and falling asleep in them. I had to undo the laces just to finish the movie at the theater. I have 4 other pairs of Hokas, and these were more like the 2 I have in normal widths rather than the wide ones, even though these are wide. Even the two normal width pairs I have are more comfortable though. I realize every foot is different, and the build quality on them is still great from what I can tell. I just figured they'd be more comfortable than the Clifton 8's that I love.

The first thing I did was to replace the insoles with Cadence insoles. Then when wearing them they were really too cushy. I returned them and bought a set of Bondi's and didn't replace the insoles. I think I should have tried the Clifton's with the insole they came with. Hope this helps someone.

Needed a 16. Tried these. Cushion is best in class. However, they narrowed in the toes. Tried to exchange for the Bondi that were on back order. Order was canceled due to availability.

I've had about 10-12 pairs of Hoka shoes, so truly a big fan. I purchased the latest versions of the Clifton and Bondi and all I can say is thar neither fits as well or is as comfortable as its predecessor. I have returned one pair and the jury is still out on the second. Usually that means cutting corners to maximize profit or putting form ahead of function. It's no secret that all of Hoka's marketing is directed towards a younger clientele but every person I see wearing Hokas is over 50.

Honestly, I feel like the Clifton 9 is lighter Bondi. It's to cushy for me. I wonder how they will separate the 2. Maybe good for some people, just not me.

Been wearing Cliftons for every-day running and as wear-arounds for the last 5 years and have to say that the 9s are very disappointing! The 8s were probably my all time favorite iteration, and the uppers were the best part of the shoe - they fit like a sock and gave enough cushion that they were incredibly comfortable. These completely undid what the 8s did so, so well. The upper is more rigid and allows for a lot more foot movement while running. I am pretty disappointed and hope they revert back for the 10s.
