Heard excellent recommendations from friends & colleagues about this brand. However, i felt extremely discomfortable after wearing for 6 hours. Appears to be fine when walking. However, when standing a for few minutes, my foot started hurting in the night.

A little short, but width good. When I wore it a few times, the foam compressed enough that my ankles hit the shoe - hurt a lot. Had to put a lift under my heal to keep ankle from pain when I walked.

I had hoped that HOKA would have changed something in their manufacturing process, but just as has been the case with every pair of HOKAs I have ordered, THE SHOES SQUEAK!!! Within one minute of walking with them on, the squeak began. Too expensive to keep with this universal HOKA flaw. Otherwise shoes fit and feel great!

As compared to the Nike Infinity Run 3, the Clifton 9 are far less comfortable. I made the switch, to try them out since they are so popular. I like them but my feet begin to cramp and hurt towards the end of the day. I stand about 12 hours per day. I'm thinking I would have benefited from the Wide version of the shoe. I regret not getting a wide. Overall, I would rate this shoe pretty average in comfort.

Ordered a Mens shoe as I wanted an all black one. materials seem stiffer. Also not black, appear grey/brown in sunlight. Functional but not great.

The quality of the Clifton's has went down. I have gone through three Clifton 9's where each had the same issue - the treads fall off before reaching the 100 miler mark.

Returned the shoes twice due to being very narrow. Even tried to size up and the toe box and shoe was still too narrow.

I work as a delivery driver and heard great things about hoka, over all after they were broken in they feel great when jumping in and out if the truck they feel so much better than other shoes ive warn. My biggest complaint is breaking them in the shoes felt like they were squeezing my feet. At times my toes felt numb, week later they feel great but i run all day so im not sure how long they would take as normal shoes.

Uncomfortable. The seams inside the left shoe bite into my foot so it sometimes goes numb. This is my true size 8, I have been buying size 8 for the last 20 years, all brands.
I regret the purchase. I wish I would have purchased Nike again. I don't think I will buy Hoka again.

Wide is no longer wide.
This would have been my third pair of Clifton’s. All size 9.5 EE.
I bought my first pair, Clifton 8, at a physical store after a lengthy fitting, having tried every other similar option and various inserts. Of all that I tried the Clifton’s were by far the best for me (wide foot, high arch, met pain) and fit perfectly.
The second pair I purchased from Zappos, again Clifton 8. These immediately felt more narrow - but not enough to send them back. I’m still wearing them but even after a year or so of moderate wear they have not really stretched much and still feel more narrow than my first pair.
When I received this pair, Clifton 9, and tried them on it’s very clear that this new version is much more narrow than previous versions. They even hurt my foot after a couple minutes. Therefore I sent these back and have moved on to other brands.

While the shoes are comfortable for walking on the bottom, the sides are too tight and hurt my feet. I have to take them off immediately after walking.

Show over is fairly comfortable. I wasn't able to get the wide version sadly. Iv had the Clifton 9 for about 4-5 months & the grip on the soles all of a sudden decided to peel off & I don't wear these shoes as often. I hardly use them at all honestly & they are peeling like that was a huge disappointment especially from all the hype I hear about these shoes. Definitely won't be buying again

I always get Clifton in an 8.5D. I actually have 2 other pairs of Clifton 9 in this size. But this pair feels a little bigger than all the others.
