This hiker has a ton of potential, however, the biggest downfall of this hiker is the narrow toe box. I really wanted to like this shoe. I put around 20 miles on the hiker hoping it would "break in" but to no avail. The hiker fits more like a sneaker so there really is not "break in" as a hiking boot might have. The positives: good support, great cushioning and good traction. As far as the narrow toe box, I did notice my toes being confined and a slight hot spot developing. I might be biased on this as I have been hiking in natural foot shape or wide toe box hikers the past 6 years so I am use to a natural foot shape shoe and having more room in the toe box. If Hoka would come out with a natural foot shape version of this hiker I would definitely snag them up. So Hoka, please try adding a wider toe box hiker to your line up.

I love this shoe! I had the earlier version of the anacapa. All the little technical issues have been fixed. The wire rhin laces are gone as well as the plastic lace locks. The comfort of course is excellent. I love these shoes and will definitely be getting more pairs. My new favorite work shoe!!

I really wanted to like these hikers. I put about 20 miles on them.hoping they would work in but to no avail. I have a little bias as I have been hiking in wide toe box or natural foot shape hikers the past six years. I don't have wide feet, actually fairly normal size/shape feet, but after switching to wide toe box hiker it's a game changer. These Hoka hikers just have a little too much spearhead shape and find my toes confined. After the last 7 mile hike I did have enough discomfort inn the toe box area that I decided to return the hiker. There are several positives great cushion while still feeling stable and secure on the trail. Good traction. Breathable. If Hoka would make these in a natural foot shape I would definitely purchase.

My wife and I were excited to try these, but they just didn't work for us
We tried using them in town on short walks, and three short to mid-level hikes, and ended up with extremely sore feet
We experimented with different socks, and even tried a couple different Superfeet insoles, but nothing seemed to help
Both of us experienced sore heels and outside of our foot pain, The last hike we did was around 6 miles, and my wife had sore feet for 4 days following so we decided to send them back.
We are both longtime Hoka fans and I've had great success with every other Model we've tried.
Clifton, kawana, bondi, speedgoat, Mafate, Kaha, and challenger.
Not sure what's different about this design, but it definitely didn't work for us.

Working on the farm.
Shoe laces need to be longer can barely tie a single knot when laced all the way to the top. I like to double knot my laces but can only do this by not lacing them by all the way to the top.

Bought these boots approximately 2 weeks ago, about 1 week into use the laces are extremely worn and fraying to the point they might be worn through shortly. Contacted customer service and only option is to do a complete exchange which I would not want to wait for simply because of the laces. Otherwise the boots are very lightweight breathable and excellent all around.

I had a complete Achilles Rupture in December, so I needed a shoe that would support my ankle really really well, while I heel up so these are what I wear. They are very supportive, and a great looking shoe.

My Gore-Tex Kaha hiking boots are perfect for the cold and snowy Winter months. Now with the warmth of Spring time, these non Gore-Tex boots are perfect! Already I have about 20 miles on them and love them.

I bought this as a law enforcement duty boot as the description indicates the shoe is all black! That is NOT the case. It has gray through the shoe which is a uniform violation of requirements for all black shoe.

This is my second pair of Anacapa's and third pair of Hoka's. I also have the Women's Anacapa Mid GTX but bought these men's Breeze in a smaller size to get the more breathable fabric for warmer months. They fit wonderfully. I have plantar fasciatus pretty badly in two spots - one just behind my arch and the other on the curve of my heel. Both of the pairs of shoes feel very cushiony and provide support around my heels and ankles with the locking laces so those portions of my feet stay in place while in the shoe. I have added the Dr. Scholl's Pain Relief Orthotics for Arch Pain to both pairs of shoes and it has helped tremendously with my arch and heel pain in addition to the amazing comfort of these shoes. If I didn't have foot pain issues, I likely would not need to add anything extra because the shoes are so well built and so incredibly comfy. I did take my Women's Anacapa Mid GTX on a trip to New York City and walked 20 miles with no issues. I highly recommend these shoes. Their return policy is amazing as well.

Living in the Phoenix area, I find the Gortex boots too warm for much of the year. The Anacapa Breeze is perfect for long days in hotter climates

I wear mine Hiking and walking. I am a big guy 6'5" 280 lbs and am constantly dealing with foot pain. Have only done a few short hikes with mine so far and these are truly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Eliminated a lot of foot pain previously suffered with other footwear. Will be replacing all other footwear with Hoka. Now I am waiting for a Hoka to put out hunting boots.

I needed a shoe with ankle support for long hot summer days. These are going to work perfectly. Comfortable straight out of the box. Nice and airy too. Needed all black for work, so I bought the Men's size 7 and wear a Women's 8.5 the fit is right on.

Bought these about 3 weeks ago for work. Standing 10+ hours a day on concrete. They are comfortable but I cannot get them to stop squeaking after multiple attempts. Realizing my feet do not typically sweat however in these they get very warm. I wouldn't recommend for hotter climate. Also I don't mind some padding but I believe the over padded areas are where the heat really gets trapped.

Shipping them back due to the size issue. This is the same size as my One-One shoe model. Who knows. Try again.
Also, I would use caution when using the Hoka's on line sizing guide. I ordered 1/2 size larger than the sizing guide presented. Still way too small.
No matter what, Hoka does make a high quality product. I've been happy for years with the comfort, support, and stability

I just got mine today and so far so great. The fit is great (I took a size larger than normal based on prior experience with HOKA speedgoats and these feel fine and very comfortable. I have other Goretex boots but wanted a lighter, more breathable boot for hot walks in the desert. I will be trying them in the desert this weekend but first impressions are great.

left boot inside pad is ok but right boot pads, where they meet and are sewn together form a hard spot that scuffed and blistered and peeled the the skin off my outside ankle bone. YYou should just get rid of the pair of sewn together pads and replace with one piece inside the ankles like the kaha and you will have a gem of a boot

I already had the Anacapa Mid GTX but wanted a cooler option for dry summer hikes. These fit the bill and I loved them until today's hike(fourth time I've worn them). I noticed that they were loose, so I stopped to re-tie them. That's when I noticed that one of the speed hooks was missing! It appears that the rivet that holds them on failed. I had read in some other reviews that this had happened to others as well. I expected these to be the same quality as the GTX model that I've worn at least 50 times but they are not.
