This is by far the best (and most expensive) athletic shoe I've owned. I know it's supposed to be a hiking shoe, but I primarily use them in the gym and for going on walks/short hikes. Amazing comfort, stability and support. My feet don't hurt at the end of the day, and my knees and hips feel a lot better too. My only complaint is the 4 hook-lace eyelets at the ankle. They're more cumbersome and inconvenient than anything. Should have stuck with conventional eyelets all the way.

Exactly what I was looking for. I'm a disabled vet and very active 46 year old. After knee reconstruction, hip replacement and putting off back surgery, I've tried multiple brands of hiking shoes and boots. I thought finding a good, comfortable hiking/ hunting shoe was impossible but these changed my mind. Thank you HOKA. I will recommend Anacapa to everyone.

Just put them on for the first time and they are some of the most comfortable footwear that I can remember wearing. They definitely take the pressure off my lower back when I walk and that is the primary reason I bought them. They already fell broke in and comfortable. I've tried on several pair of Hoka's and recommend to buying a pair that are one size bigger. I usually wear a size 12 but bought a size 13 and they feel perfect.

Your brand has truly saved me from ongoing pain and discomfort. Perfect balance between cushion and support. Began with your running shoes and now I'm enamored with your boots. Only request, wish you had more earth-tones, preferably grey and more low keys colors. .

Quality mid boot. Glad I Switched to the Anacapa Breeze from Ananapa-2 Mid. Excellent price, fast delivery. Highly recommended w/o reservations.

Hoka needs to work on there quality control and provide better quality more durable materials. The soles are coming unglued and there are holes in them after about 6 months of hiking. I have pics if hoka is interested in seeing the issues.

I'm in construction, I was actually looking for something more water resistant as well as a shoe that protects the foot in a construction environment but still having the comfort of a soft sneaker in a nutshell you guys got it right on the sole now just need to make the top a construction style shoe

I typically walk about 7 miles a day on different types of terrain and these are definitely my most comfortable shoes. The soles are thick and you can feel the cushion with each step which relieves my heel pain.

The boot is not true to size. I normally wear a size 10 but these boots are larger

I love these boots. I work in a wet environment. These boots keep my feet dry. I am in up to 1 1/2" of water on a daily basis. My feet stay dry. I have not tested them by any deeper water. I will definitely look for these when the time comes to replace them.

It seems the inner sole pad is a little hard and gapped from the i side of the shoe. It rubs my heel, making it a little uncomfortable. I am trying some heavier socks until it breaks in and softens up. Other than that, they fit great and are comfortable. I definitely notice a difference between these and my go to Columbia hiking shoes. Time will tell about the heel issue.

I have had a few pairs of the Clifton that I use for walking. I bought the Anacapa Breeze because I wanted a shoe for hiking in the desert. I did not need a Gore Tex shoe because it doesn't often rain here. The first hike I wore it was 4.5 miles. It was very comfortable while providing good support and stability. Exactly what I expected form Hoka.

I love my HOKA ONE ONE's and they saved me! I lived with the pain from a terrible case Achilles tendinitis for years So when my husband and my son were talking about needing new shoes for work, I knew it was time to get them the best too! They love them, feel very comfortable and they provide support and look good doing it!!

I've had this product for a couple of weeks. They don't feel the best and they squeak with every step.

Boots are comfortable but feel the same as my Under Armor. Price is a bit up there. They do look nicer than my Under Armor. Have been using them for a few months and so far they've been putting up through the work I've been putting them through

Bought these shoes for my husband and he absolutely treasures them. Although they are more for hiking, he uses them when he works outdoors. I wanted to share the love I have for Hoka's and I think he is now a fan too.

Boot has good supportive padding overall with enough to add ankle stability on rocky trails. Has very good ventilation during worm weather hikes. Needs a more robust/larger toe rand for tough terrain.
Appreciate the wider toe box for my wide forefeet.

There was less arch support than the prior two pairs of Hokas that i own, which makes them much less comfortable for me.
Also, the sizing was weird. The initial order (which i exchanged for the GTX) was a full size too big. When i exchanged, i went down half a size, and they are fine; the 8.5 wears like a size 9.

Pros: Quick shipping
Light weight
Well made.
Comfortable
Cons: Not enough upper support.
Speed lace hooks are too small and tight. Difficult to lace and laces pop out sometimes
Strings a little too short making them hard to tie

Bought shoes for my husband to use at work. He is in law enforcement and is standing on his feet a considerable amount of time. Major activity on feet - moving about quite frequently. Unfortunately, after using the shoes for the first time, one of the soles began to come off. Because he needed the shoes for work and didn't have time to return, we glued the sole back on. So far, the sole has held. We love Hokas. I think this one was just a slight bad one of the bunch.

I hiked 3 miles with 50 lbs to test these new boots. I developed blisters across my heels where the insole edge ends. For reference, I have a couple of decades in a military occupational specialty that hikes a lot. My feet are conditioned for hiking. The Hoka boots are light and have significant padding. Hopefully, adding insoles with a deeper heel cup and arch support make the Hokas useful.
