I received a pair of these as a replacement for a pair of Vapor Glove 5 shoes that the treads were literally breaking off of. The good news is that the soles of the 6 are more flexible than the 5, and the ground feel is closer to the feel of the Vapor Glove 4. The bad news is that despite a different tread pattern the treads are breaking off the same way they did on my 5s.

I bought these shoes 2 weeks ago, they arrived a week after they were supposed to, granted, it was the week after christmas, so delays can be inspected. I've worn the shoes for all of 3 times, with maybe 5 hours in total. In the time, the inner branding on the sole has come off. I thought it was a lose thread, but on further inspection of the shoes, they are just poorly constructed. Threating on the shoe is already getting lose or breaking, and the part where the rubber sole meet the end of the fabric is already coming loose. Mind you, I haven't even worn them out or worked out in them. They were worn around the office and driving a car. These are not worth the price they are charging. I would have sent them back and asked for a refund if I hadn't tossed my old shoes when these arrived

I bought these in the summer of 2023 and the tread wears out fast on them. I wear them working out and while running errands. At any given moment there will be a hole in the soles. I love the fit and colorway but I'm not a big fan of the tread wear. I own other barefoot shoes and the tread on these wear the quickest.

I bought two pairs of these at the same time. I read lots of reviews and was very excited to own two different colors. Then I opened the box to find that the colors are nowhere close to the photos online. Olive green? Really? Even in bright sunlight they don't match the photos online. Unfortunately I will be returning for that reason.

These are really comfortable shoes, but after only 4 months of wear there are holes in sole of the shoe under both of the heels. As other reviewers have mentioned the upper is also coming away from the lower at the stress points where the shoe bends. While barefoot shoes do come with some compromises, having to buy 3 pairs of trainers per year would seem to be excessive.

Vapor Glove is evolving into a non-barefoot shoe. Toe box is shrinking, sole is getting thicker with each version. It is a good shoe if you want a light, casual sneaker, but it's not the barefoot shoe that Vapor Gloves used to be. It's not "vapor" anymore. This seems to happen with all Merrell barefoot shoe models: Road Glove, Trail Glove and now Vapor Glove. They start out flexible and spacious, then each new version get narrower and more rigid. Granted, they do become more robust and protective, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Feel:
First off, these are SUPER comfortable. They really do have the barefoot feel that's so difficult to find in a pair of shoes. The toe box is substantial without feeling clunky/clumsy like some other minimalist shoes on the market. The way the sole wraps up to give just the slightest amount of arch support is absolutely fantastic. The cord used for the lace loops is a great design and makes the upper fit like a glove.
Sizing:
My feet are exactly 11-inches long. I ordered both an 11 and 11.5 since my sizing is a tossup depending on brand. I kept the 11. If anything, they still seem a bit large and I could probably go down to a 10.5.
Quality:
This is where it starts to fall apart (literally), which is really disappointing. I'm admittedly leaving this review earlier than expected. I have only put about 8k steps (yes, STEPS) on these and the upper is already tearing (I would post photos, but Merrell's site isn't working). This obviously has me concerned about the longevity of the shoe. As I was taking pictures for this review, I also felt glue separating on the inside of the shoe. On the plus side, the sole seems to be bulletproof, as I'd expect from my experience with Vibram. However, I doubt the sole will get a chance wear since the upper will almost certainly fail before this.

I have 2 pair of this Vapor Glove sneaker, black and pink, both in size 7.5. Fit great, look great, most comfortable “barefoot” sneaker I have ever owned. When I am not in flip flops I live in these.
I ordered this same sneaker in this great olive color, also size 7.5. Don’t know what the heck happened but they were HUGE! Like an inch and a half longer than my other 2 pair. So disappointed. Had to send them back.

I like the fit and the feel. The sole started wearing out almost immediately. After 3 weeks I have large bald spots in the tread. Great shoes if you dont plan on actually wearing them.

I like the trail glove but not the vapor glove. Put them on and took them off. Not a fan and especially for 100 dollars.

The shoes are ok; the packaging was appalling by Zappos standards. Just a clear plastic bag inside an Amazon box. One shoe had paper stuffed in it to help the shoe keep its form; the other shoe was empty. The laces were tied together loosely and indifferently, so it's clear I'm wearing shoes somebody else returned. This is no way to run a good business, and a sure sign of decline after Zappos was acquired by Amazon. I'm done with this company.

The sole wares away in about a month of use. To the point where there were holes. Material is both overly drafty and too hot. Wow bad, so bad.
I used these as my walk around town shoe so walking on normal roads.

I bought them for trails and they are definitely not made for trails, i felt every little pebble. I know they are barefoot shoes, i have other barefoot merrells & bought these hoping they would be as good as my other ones but these were not good. Recommend getting something else.

I was surprised to find that I could wear these shoes with Smart Feet orthotics and they are very comfortable even though I have bunions and have had a mid foot fusion surgery. I love how lithe and lightweight they are! however , a big downside: I noticed that I’ve worn a gaping hole straight through the heel and still have 200 days to go on my Zappos return, so sadly: poor durability.
