I've put 35 miles on my Vapor Gloves in the past 2 months, and they are by far the most comfortable, fastest pair of running shoes I've ever had. I've run in other brands of minimalist shoes for nearly 15 years, so I'm quite used to forefoot striking and the accompanying road feel. These fit like snug bedroom slippers; plenty of room in the toebox, while not slipping around the heel & ankle. I've worn them nearly exclusively on roads, but did take them through "meadow" trails yesterday and very much enjoyed the experience. Compared to the other sneakers in my rotation, workout paces in the V.G.'s are routinely faster, I think due to both the flexibility and weight. I can't imagine taking them onto a trail here in New England, too many rocks and roots, but they have 100% found a home in my collection, and will certainly be buying another pair!

I have a this shoe for a few weeks now and this is the best version yet. I have had every version except for the first one. This version is very comfortable. It is a true barefoot shoe with a very thin and flexible sole. The toe box is nice and wide and this me tread is very grippy. The fabric is thicker and softer than the last version. It is also a good looking shoe. It doesn't look odd or strange like some of the previous versions. It would be great if they made an all leather version like the Luna vapor glove that was previously offered. I just hope Merrell doesn't stop making barefoot shoes. They make some of the best minimalist shoes.

Used as a gym shoe, the tread is more pronounced than the 5 but it's a positive and not a negative. It works perfectly as a deadlift training shoe.

These are my first pair of barefoot shoes, an introduction to the segment. I have a good barefoot gait and typically wear Keen hiking boots to work/camp which left me feeling tired at the end of the day, so I wanted something to bridge that gap in my footwear experience. While my sister has lauded her vapor glove 5's of yesteryear, I opted for the new ones with hopes that I had a well-designed, polished shoe. I can say that I am wildly satisfied with the shoes so far. I will not deduct points for my toes getting cold in northern MN in feb/march, that requires conditioning of my own... Pros: outstanding sensitivity. I feel tremendously in-touch with the ground as I walk, jog, hike, etc. It is a surreal experience, and I am glad to begin this journey in Merrells. They are incredibly breathable, and relative to my Keens, leave me with a pep in my step all day even after working on steel and concrete flooring. I wear toe socks and never find my feet sweating on walks, at work, or elsewhere. The style is very sleek and discreet (I opted for all black), despite my size 12 feet looking like diving flippers in them... Cons: Laces are a mile long and I tend to undo them with missteps or twists/turns. Double knotting has helped, and the laces are strong/hold a knot, but I will still probably trim them to avoid getting the shoes too dirty. Despite them being my first pair of barefoot shoes, I find the toe box to be rather narrow and somewhat limiting at times when really trying to spread out my toes. I have historically been comfortable in Vans, Asics, hey-dudes, and Keens, but I can't *quite* spread my little toe out as wide as I would like during my walking. Your mileage may vary, obviously, but it is not a deal-breaker for me. Time will tell me how durable they are for the price, as relatively speaking they are on the cheaper end for barefoot shoes. Most others are made in EU which increases labor, import, and material costs, but these truly are my new favorite shoes. I wear them whenever weather and the activity permits. Once it warms up I just KNOW I will be living in them fishing, biking, hiking, and more. Can't wait!

Super-light shoe that protects your toes and foot - and not much more! Improves my balance and keeps my foot muscles strong. Corrugated ridges on the under-sole emit a chirp if I slightly drag my feet. So my granddaughter gave me a new name, title of the review.

I train endurance and footwork. The vapor glove 5 are my favorite of all time (3 pairs), 4s are good, 3s had good traction, never liked the trail glove arch, these vapor glove 6 are puffy lightweight comfy and good tread for a variety of surfaces yet will catch small rocks offroad, and I cut the laces in half like all my vapor gloves for easier slipon/slipoff after southbay trails. at acousticsaugust

New to barefoot. I'm trying to train my feet to increase my durability as a runner. I took these shoes on rocky and rooted trails for my first walk and I couldn't be happier. These shoes offered plenty of protection, great grip in wet and muddy conditions, and didn't feel too bulky or thin on finished roads. It's exactly what I was looking for. Will but again!

These shoes are my favorite for minimalist wear! Great grip, wide toe box, great flex, and a great look. I buy multiples of these shoes at a time, and have never been disappointed. It's a staple of my workout and everyday wardrobe.

This is perfect if you like barefoot, I just got mine, they are light as a feather, they feel like you're walking barefoot with just a little bit of cushion. I can feel all my toes splay individually and make contact through the shoe and and into the ground.

These are more like water shoes than hiking. I like thin soles like Zero brand but these were insufficient..

Looks way better than my vivo barefoot. I love the vibrant sole. Not sure if runs wide or the sole is so thin I dint feel discomfort but they feel great. I wish the 7 came wide.

I have extremely odd shaped and hyper pronate feet. This makes it challenging to find shoes that are consistently comfortable, as my foot shape is completely different from the toe-squeezer-foot-coffins of today's shoe industry. The Vapor Glove allows my foot to assume a natural position while forcing me to build the foot and ankle strength that I lack. I wear these shoes everywhere and they've become an essential part of my life. I have tried many barefoot shoes, and the Vapor Glove is the most barefoot and most comfortable of them all.

I've run thousands of kilometers in multiple versions of Vapor Gloves as my main commuter shoe. This version has a thicker, harder, more rigid sole than before. This will no doubt help with durability, but it does make the shoe less flexible than previous versions. The thing I dislike about V6 is the sole wraps over the top of the toe box, putting pressure on the toenails. The nail on my second toe randomly fell off yesterday. I hope future versions are more like V5.

I normally wear a men's size 12 and most shoes fit me very well in this size. On me, the Vapor Glove 6 in size 12 is tight in the instep and the width is slightly more narrow than I prefer. More importantly, my toes contact the front of the toe box so I had to return them. I will try a size 13 and hope they're not too large.

They took the best things about the Vapor Glove 4 (the no-tongue m, no-laces, slip-on design) and threw it out. It feels cheaper and shoddier than my old pair. I only bought these because I couldn't find any used 4's in my size. I was very disappointed with this shoe.
