After being exposed to zero neutral shoes decided to purchase. Good price, good fit. Will take time to reveal if these shoes match the hype. The shoes appear to be well made and comfortable. So far, so good

Good looking, lightweight, super comfortable. Check, check, check. However, the sole is quite thin compared to other barefoot style shoes I've tried, which means you really feel every small rock or bit of gravel you step on. Great on smooth ground, packed dirt, sand. I'd definitely trade off weight for a thicker sole.

They look less cringe than other barefoot shoes, the fit is immaculate, I wear them everywhere. I took them on a trail the other day and the pain from the rocks was too much, so just dont get these for mountainous terrain. These are also my casual biking shoes. The tire tread feel is really perfect. I wear them without socks and they dont smell. I give these my highest recommendation for anything other than hiking.

the upper is so spongy and thick, it feels like wearing a sweater on my feet. I am getting used to them, but they don't have the light feel of past models. Has the sole thickened as well? Each new model seems to be a bit thicker and heavier and less of the 'barefoot' feel that originally brought me to the Vapor Glove style.

I returned these, and I'll tell you why... Really dug the shoes, the looks, the feel, and lightweight! Great summer shoes, but I've got old feet (came with the body) and there is virtually no cushioning in the heel. For walking on pavement (there's alot where I live) there was just no getting around the shock of landing on a heel with diminished padding in a shoe with no padding. YMMV

Best shoes I've bought in year's. Ive tried barefoot trail shoes from various brands and been quite happy, but the vapor glove 6 is the best by a long way. Feels great, performs well and looks good! Traction and durability on the outsole is excellent both on moderate trails and also on the sidewalk. Ive worn these for a couple of months straight and I don't miss any of the shoes in the rest of an embarrassingly large collection of running and trail shoes. I'll definitely buy more of these shoes.

I have tried barefoot shoes from Xero, splay, Vivo, and be lenka, and these are definitely the most comfy and flexible Ive tried. However, the shoe is too narrow! Its not a true barefoot shoeif this exact shoe were made in a much wider width, it would be perhaps the ultimate barefoot shoe. Until then, Ill have to look elsewhere.

Merrell Barfoot Shoes are the Best Barefoot shoe out there hands down. I made the switch to the barefoot shoe lifestyle about 12 years ago and have never looked back. I tried a few other brands that claim to be barefoot along the way, but nothing has ever compared to the Merrell Barefoot series in comfort and function. Make no mistake I only wear either the Trail or the Vapor glove in what ever I do; So these guys are on my feet everyday from work (Office & Jobsite), to training at the gym, on the trails, road runs, races, tri-Athlons, adventure races, playing sports, playing with my kids, coaching, hanging out, going out, what ever the occasion these are my go to shoes. Barefoot is more than a shoe style it is a lifestyle choice. It will change your feet, strengthen your ankles, lower calf muscles, adjust your stride, etc. back to what it was meant to be before we all started wearing shoes with heals so thick that you can't feel the ground you are walking on and have so much cushion that it causes heel strikes when you run. Since changing to barefoot shoes and correcting my running posture I have never had the likes of shin splints or any real foot/lower leg pains again, Once you get thru the initial use of your foot, ankle, calf stability muscles that you don't use in the "traditional" athletic shoe... They will be sore for the first few weeks as you restart to use the muscles that you have not been using since you were a toddler... It is smooth sailing and you will not want to turn back to those old overly padded ways again. So just my 2 cents for whom ever wants its, but once you go Barefoot you will not want to go back.

I forgot my golf shoe when I played a round last week but I was wearing my Vapor Glove 6 shoes so I played golf in my new Merrells. I think I will be wearing them to golf in the future as they were extremely comfortable and had plenty of traction.

I have a this shoe for a few weeks now and this is the best version yet. I have had every version except for the first one. This version is very comfortable. It is a true barefoot shoe with a very thin and flexible sole. The toe box is nice and wide and this me tread is very grippy. The fabric is thicker and softer than the last version. It is also a good looking shoe. It doesnt look odd or strange like some of the previous versions. It would be great if they made an all leather version like the Luna vapor glove that was previously offered. I just hope Merrell doesnt stop making barefoot shoes. They make some of the best minimalist shoes.

Very comfortable, retentive fit. I sized up 1/2 sizes. Flexible with good ground feel. As my feet are quite old, Id like these shoes even more if there were 2-3 mm more cushion,

Used as a gym shoe, the tread is more pronounced than the 5 but its a positive and not a negative. It works perfectly as a deadlift training shoe.

Feel: First off, these are SUPER comfortable. They really do have the barefoot feel thats so difficult to find in a pair of shoes. The toe box is substantial without feeling clunky/clumsy like some other minimalist shoes on the market. The way the sole wraps up to give just the slightest amount of arch support is absolutely fantastic. The cord used for the lace loops is a great design and makes the upper fit like a glove. Sizing: My feet are exactly 11-inches long. I ordered both an 11 and 11.5 since my sizing is a tossup depending on brand. I kept the 11. If anything, they still seem a bit large and I could probably go down to a 10.5. Quality: This is where it starts to fall apart (literally), which is really disappointing. Im admittedly leaving this review earlier than expected. I have only put about 8k steps (yes, STEPS) on these and the upper is already tearing (I would post photos, but Merrell's site isn't working). This obviously has me concerned about the longevity of the shoe. As I was taking pictures for this review, I also felt glue separating on the inside of the shoe. On the plus side, the sole seems to be bulletproof, as Id expect from my experience with Vibram. However, I doubt the sole will get a chance wear since the upper will almost certainly fail before this.

These shoes are my favorite for minimalist wear! Great grip, wide toe box, great flex, and a great look. I buy multiples of these shoes at a time, and have never been disappointed. Its a staple of my workout and everyday wardrobe.

I was looking for shoes to wear to the gym that didn't have huge thick soles like running shoes today have. These turned out to be what I would call water shoes, with no padding at all in the soles. Not really suitable for the gym, so not what I was looking for. There wasn't enough information in the description to be able to tell if they were, unfortunately. On the bright side, they look like they'd be good for use in and around water...

Very comfortable although the longevity of these shoes is questionable. 2 months in I nearly have zero tread left with the seams seperating even with cycling the shoes out out use for others.

Je viens de recevoir ces chaussures. Un test pour voir si elles schent rapidement m'a permis d'observer qu'elles changent immdiatement de couleur, prennant une teinte plus fonce. Buyer beware: they will change colour, as reported by someone else, after having got wet.

I have another pair of this exact model, same size, in a different color. I'd assumed that the two pairs would fit the same. I wore the new ones for a walk and discovered the hard way that I'd assumed incorrectly: wider toe, shorter length, looser sides. I wound up with sore toes and ankle pain. I won't be buying another pair because the fit seems like a crapshoot.

I love the flat, thin and wide feel of this shoe. It checks all the boxes for a simple barefoot style. However, after wearing them to work for a couple days and taking one 2km walk a hole is starting where the outsole and fabric come together at the toe. There is a lot of bending at that location and it is a common failure point for most shoes. I didn't expect this as all my other Merrill's have been very durable. Hopefully they hold together long enough to get some use.

Love the shoes but the soul started to come apart from the toe material within the first week.
