These shoes are super comfortable and warm. I should have gotten a smaller size but I didn't realize until I had worn them for a day. However I bought two sets of insoles and the fit is better.

I am a 9-1/2 street shoe and sandal - 10-1/2-11 in tennis shoes - 10 in walking boots although these run on the large side. I tried the 9 and they are too short so I placed shearing inserts in the 10's. They are slipping still in the heel but this may be common in this style

Had to return them. Heel too wide to keep the shoe on. Needed laces. Really wanted lower (6") but they don't appear available in ladies' 9W.

They do run large and I had to send back the first pair. I usually take a 6.5 and the 6 is still a little roomier than I would like. I bought the fleece insole which makes them very comfortable and a little snugger. They are nice looking and easy to slip on, which is why I wanted them. I don't walk any distance in them as they are wide at the ankle and will collect rain and snow, but they are perfect for running out to the store or to yoga class.

I tried to get this boot last year and it was sold out. Jumped right on it this year and was so excited. I love the look of this boots but the sizing is way off. I'm a size 7 in most but shoes but sometimes 6.5. I got the 7 medium and it was crazy big. Then got the 6 medium and it was crazy tight. Disappointed in the sizing. Going to try 6 wide although I have never done a wide before. Maybe that will make the 6 work.

I love the design of this boot and was glad to see it make a comeback; I frequently receive compliments when wearing them. I was concerned about the fit and the footbed not being lined with shearling. Right out of the box the transition seam around the ankle was annoying and stiff. I wore them around the house for a bit with a very thick wool sock and thankfully this did the trick pretty quickly. The ankle area is a bit wide but personally i think it's not anything to complain about and is intentional as it's a SLIP ON boot. I have skinny legs and ankles and don't find it uncomfortable with a sock and skinny jean. I've owned the traditional unlined bean boot and the tumbled leather shearling boot and am really enjoying the ease of NO laces and vintage feel of this design. I am knocking off one star due to the fact the entire boot isn't lined; that'd be the only thing I'd like to see changed. They've been great for cool rainy weather. MUCH cuter and more comfortable than my Hunter rain boots.

Since these boots are so popular I had to wait over 2 months to get them. I read the reviews carefully and ended up getting the correct size. I wear an 8 boot and a 7 1/2 shoe and ordered this boot in a 7. As other reviewers noted, the fleece is on the ankle portion and not in the footbed. Since I knew this, I had felted alpaca boot liners that I cut to fit the boots and they are nice and warm. Without a liner I think you may be disappointed with the fit and warmth. It is a slip on boot with a wide ankle area. They would not work in deep snow. For that you'd need a boot that laces. For walking my dogs in a 2-3 inches they are fine. As some reviewers noted there is a sort of loose feeling in the heel area if you don't insert a liner. I think that's because they don't lace up. Since being waterproof and being slip on were the most important things to me I am happy with the boots.

Beautiful boots. Was told they were back ordered until May 1st but I got them quickly. I take a 9.5 - 10.0 shoe and ordered the 10. They were very large. I returned them and am waiting for the 9.

I am not happy with the boots. I bought them to replace my LL Bean pull on lined boots that I have had for many, many years. These new ones are not "slip on". They require sitting down to get on, pulling on the hook on the back. My old ones, I could remain standing and step into, which was a great thing if I was in a hurry. I'm disappointed, but will keep then.

These are cozy, comfy boots on first inspection. However, the sizing was way off to me. I ordered my usual size and found them to be huge! So I sent them back and ordered the next size down which was much better! There are no half sizes, so by my experience, I would say order 1 size smaller. I did notice afterwards that there is a note about how the sizing can be different due to them being handmade? I think that is what it says online? Somehow I missed that but I am not sure that I would have ordered any differently as the size 8 is always my go to in boots and shoes these days. I haven't worn a size 7 in I don't know how many years.
However, I am not satisfied with quality control. My size 7 boots arrived with several faint blemishes to the toe and sides of my boots as if they were previously worn. For the price of these boots which I think is expensive, they should be pristine upon arrival. I would have sent them back but I was concerned that they would be sold out and therefore unavailable since several sizes were sold out at this point.
So for unreliable sizing and poor product condition ( aka: not new condition ), my review deducts 2 stars.

Boots are so very warm and fit perfect. Three star rating is due to the lining comes out when taking off the boots. A little difficult to reinstall it

I was finally able to wear these as we had some snow. They are extremely warm and comfortable in the foot area, however, one of them is tighter than the other around the ankle making it somewhat uncomfortable. Also, even with socks, I can feel the stitching where the leather meets the rubber on the back of my ankle.

I love the look of these boots. I order a size down because it said they run big. Well, a size down is still a size too big!

I love the feel but they are a bit too wide and a bit too big. It would be great if they came in half sizes.

I really like the boot but a wide seemed to actually be a regular width so I returned the boots and got some that are similar but lace up. Had to go with a 7 men's boot regular width. I love the quality with which Bean Boots are made.

These are beautiful boots, and I wish with all my heart that they truly fit. I ordered the size recommended by all the reviews and the L.L. Bean website. With no socks on, my toes still touch the end, and they are too narrow for my feet. I have minimal bunions. I'm going to try the size 8, and I hope that they fit!! Customer Service was very good. It's just the boots should accommodate a winter sock with toe room to spare.

I was so excited to receive my new boots. Not only had I found a wide version but they say they are shearling lined. I have called customer service in the past and specifically asked about the boots I was ordering if they are fully lined or just the shank. I was told that if it's only lined in the shank it will note that accordingly so I made the mistake of thinking because this description states "shearling lined", not shearling lined on the shank area, that I was getting a boot that was indeed as stated, shearling lined. That unfortunately is not the case. There is only shearling in the shank region. I do not wear socks and only wanted boots with FULL shearling lining. I have loved all my LLBean products and have boots that I bought years ago that are fully lined and I have worn them out to the point the sides are busted out but I still wear them cause I don't care what people think, I wear them for the comfort. I'm truly bummed this boot isn't lined as stated. I did try wearing them around inside but they are painful in several areas of my foot without the lining. I also added shearling inserts in hopes that would work, nope. Probably taking my older boots to the shoe shop and see if they can sew them back together or do something to repair them so my foot isn't peeking/falling out the sides making my foot get a little breeze. Sadly, LLBean doesn't carry the old style I have anymore. I gave the boots 3 stars for their quality but knocked 2 stars for the lack of clarity in the description that they are not LINED in shearling and only have shearling in the shank, which is not noted in the description as the customer service rep had told me in the past. Sighhhhh......sad. :-(

Had to send them back, your size chart said to order one size smaller. So I ordered a nine, my wife wears 10, they were to small, toes hit the end. Still waiting for the new ones to arrive. It's already 1/13 and no boots yet!

As much as I really wanted to like these boots as they are attractive and what I had wanted, I had to return them due to the awful seam where the top and bottom portions of the boot are connected that rubbed my heal within just a few minutes of walking around the house. They were also slightly too narrow, short and tight in the toe. I exchanged the 6 medium for a 6 wide and had none of these issues but did note that the offending seam is much less prominent in the wider version for some reason. In most shoes, I wear a 7.5 wide.

I have tried two pairs of boots and had to return because of a seam or connection between the heel and shaft of the boot. Oddly, it has been on the right boot...I love the boots if I can just get a pair that will work. Other than that issue, the size is true for me at 7medium which is my normal shoe size.

I usually wear a size 9 so I ordered an 8 per the instructions. Even the 8 still seemed a little roomy but might have been ok with thicker socks.
The design is lovely, the shearling is cozy, I wanted to love these.... but the seam where the top part of the boot connected to the bottom one one of the boots was just too uncomfortable, digging in to the back of my ankle. At this price point they need to be perfect. So, sadly, I returned them.

I loved these boots, however, the book was too big. The buckle didn't tighten tight enough so the book slipped on my foot when walking. Boot was not true to size.

So,I purchased these boots last year at full price after obsessing over them for a while. Every year I would try to order them only to have them sold out in my size. When I received them I was disappointed in the fact that there was a rough seam where the rubber boot meets the leather shaft. I thought there was no way I would be able to wear them without socks,( which is what I prefer),so back they went, After looking at them again multiple times since then I decided to give it another shot but this time I managed to get them on sale. Despite many customers suggestions about lining the boots completely with shearling LLBean didn't. I put them on without socks & wore them around the house & outside for quite a few hours. I could definitely feel the seam around the ankle area but they didn't cause any redness or chafing. That being said I have decided to keep them because I love how easy they are to get in & out of & I plan on keeping them by the door for quick accessibility . I'll put a pair of shearling foot liners in for extra warmth. The leather uppers are so soft and supple & the shearling is warm & comfy. Just wish they were completely lined. Hint, hint LLB.

It's been raining quite a bit here in NorCal lately. I was hoping to upgrade my old 10" lace-ups, which I've never been entirely happy with because of the tedious lace-up/unlacing ritual. Also, I can never wear socks with boots of any kind because they always end up in my toes. I was ready to buy these slip on, shearling-lined loungers until I realized that the footbed is NOT lined with shearling. Thinsulate will just not do. Basically what I'm looking for is an LLBean Duck Boot on the outside and an Ugg boot on the inside. C'mon LLBean....PLEASE?!?!?!
