I love these boots! For me, they feel true to size and were very comfortable right out of the box (I'm a size 7, and I ordered a size 7). They don't fit as snugly as a pair of lace-up boots would, but since they're pull-on loungers, I didn't expect them to. They're perfect for keeping my feet warm and dry in the ice and snow (we've had a couple of snowstorms already this year; these boots have been great), and I love that I can just pull them on and run out the door. They look adorable with leggings; and they have much better arch support than I expected. I've added a pair of sheepskin insoles, and now they're decadently comfortable/toasty.

I ordered these boots in a 10W in 2015. When I received, they were HUGE! Width was fine, but the length was oddly large. I wanted to return for a smaller size, but the 8W and 9W were sold out at the time. I reordered the 8W in the fall of 2016 with a 20% discount code, and they were on backorder until the end of February 2017, but wound up receiving at the beginning of January - just before the first snow of the season. When I first put them on, I didn't think they were going to work, but with a little effort and help from the leather tab on the back, I got them on...and they fit PERFECTLY! An 8W on a normally 10W foot. I can't stress enough to size down!! They are wonderful boots, and are incredibly warm and comfortable. On colder days, I have switched out the fur insole I have in my Bean Mocs for added warmth. Buy these beautiful boots!

I have been waiting for these boots to be available in a size 9 and they finally came in. Unfortunately they are huge. I read the other reviews and actually wanted to order an 8 1/2 but they weren't available so I went with my normal size. Even with a thick hiking sock the heels flopped off as if I were wearing a clog. I will keep on waiting for the smaller size to be available. Of course the quality is excellent!

Order 1 full size smaller than you normally would in a regular pair of shoes. I'm a size 10 and ordered a size 9 duck boot...fit perfect with room. I would say these boots are slightly narrow around the middle of the foot, but not at the toe or heel. It's probably purposeful to help keep the boots on while walking, since they are slip-on and don't have ties you can tighten. The are amazingly comfy, warm and easy on/off. Love not having laces!

This boot not only fulfills my expectations but exceeds them, as well. The construction, durability and overall appearance are exactly what I have come to expect from L.L.Bean! Keeping my feet warm while walking our German Shepard on a frigid golf course is no problem for these boots. They're my "go-to" for comfort and warmth. Just a quick note, due to their famous L.L.Bean sole, they can slip a bit in the back. Wearing L.L.Bean raglan socks easily corrects this.

I ordered these in both sizes 10 and 11, and the 11 arrived while the size 10 was still on backorder. I wear a size 10 in women's shoes and boots, including unlined Bean Boots, but, for some reason the shearling-lined Bean Boots I ordered this year all seemed to run narrower than in the past, so I had to size up to women's 11 or Men's 9 wide. BUT, that is because I added the shearling innersoles to them, otherwise the women's 10 or men's 8 fit without the innersoles added. Of all the winter Bean Boots I tried this year, these actually fit my feet the best and were very comfortable. However, I was just unable to get used to my heel slipping up and down as I walked. I believe that is how slip-on boots are supposed to fit, but while the convenience of a slip-on boot is very appealing, for me I'll just stick with lace-up boots because that is what I'm used to. Also, they are short and wide at the top, so no good for keeping snow out. Alas, I returned the size 11 and cancelled my backorder for size 10, so hopefully two people who like this style of boot will benefit.

I wrote this review once...sorry for the repeat but I can't find it and I want to share how wonderful these boots are!I got a pair of these boots second hand because they were not available on the LLBean site. I LOVE them. I wear a size 10 shoe and got the boots in a size 10. PERFECT fit. They are slip on boots so they fit a bit loose, but if you like a bit of a snugger fit you can order the liners. I can wear them with a medium to thick pair of sox and they still fit comfortably. There is some slipping on the heel as they are slip on boots, but I love that loose feel. My feet no longer get cold when I am out in the snow for hours at a time. I recommend these boots to anyone who likes a slip on boot. I love them so much I am going to order a brand new pair.....though my second hand pair are in great shape and wear extremely well, I don't want to run the risk of them not being available if something happens to my second hand pair!

I waited nearly 8 weeks for these-they're worth it. Order now, because you won't regret it. Comfortable right out of the box, nice lining (not too hot), good arch support. I love the slip on part of these the most! My husband had his for over 20 years!!!

This is a great boot. I'm normally a 7.5 dress shoe and 8 in athletic shoe, but in this I take a 7 with a lightweight sock. I love the slip on style. Please keep this style available.

I was expecting a really late delivery on these beauties. They came much earlier than anticipated, so I was excited. If figured since I waver between a 9 and a 9.5, the 9 would work. Plus I tried on a different boot in a size 9 and a size 8 in the store. I think because it was a different boot, the fit is much different. I sadly returned these to the store, and ordered an 8 online. It's not scheduled to deliver until february, but I can't wait until they arrive.

Fits like a glove! I normally am an 8.5 in all shoes, but sized down for these shearling lined boots. I originally bought the 8Wide because they were the only size they had available - they were MASSIVE. I thought by sizing down and getting a wide I would be doing myself a favor, I was not. After a quick return, the 8Regular fits like a glove. THICK SOCKS - snug but very comfortable. THIN SOCKS- fits nicely, but with a little more room. As these are slip ons, your heel does lift a bit when you walk (more so with thin socks). LLBean does suggest to size up for the shearling lined, which I was confused about, but am glad I sized down! I haven't worn these around too much yet, but am excited to try them out in the cold New England winters when I need to stay warm and walk through slush (and look cute while doing it)! Great costumer service as always during my exchange. Thanks LLBean!

Yeah, you heard me - just in case I somehow manage to damage my current beloved pair of boots beyond the limits of Bean's abilities to repair them, I now have a second pair of these warm and cozy loungers stashed in my attic for a "just in case" scenario. That's how important they are to me.
I wear a size 7 in most shoes, but go down to a 6 in all Bean shoes and boots. Even if I'm wearing thicker socks (which aren't always necessary with the warmth of the shearling), sizing down works perfectly here.

The style is nice. The boots are light. They are convenient. They are not very warm. They are fine for very short trips from vehicle to building, but if you have to walk any distance to get inside on a cold (20 degrees and snow), your feet will get cold. Overall they are nice boots - price is a bit steep for their lack of warmth.

I have tried to buy these boots before, and they were too large for my size 6M feet and they weren't made any smaller. Knowing that Bean boot sizes tend to fluctuate (frustratingly), I thought I'd try again this year, because it is perfect for many of the cold weather things we do, like slipping feet in a warm boot to walk the dog first thing. Eureka! They fit with a light-medium sock.
Some day, there may be more consistent sizing in Bean boots. But for now, I'm delighted and glad they are made here in Maine.

Very pleased with my new Bean boots! They appear well made (in USA :) and very comfortable. I did add arch supports, but I find this necessary in almost all my shoes except Taos, Birks, Danskos. This is my 2nd pair of Bean boots (different insulated style), and I’m hoping they will be as hard wearing, comfortable and warm as the first. I am usually a 7.5/38 in most shoes, but ordered the 7 in these after reading reviews stating they run large. 7 seems just right for me. The only issue I have with this pair is that the right boot arrived with, what I believe, is the wrong size insole. There is an ~ 1/2+ inch gap under the tips of my toes in that boot, compared with the left boot. Apparently an issue with quality control. I would probably give these boots a 5 star rating without this problem. Zappos delivered on time as usual. Thank you!

I love these boots but I do not understand why the inner seam where the materials transitions is not covered with something soft. Its the only drawback.

I wore my original boots for 20+ years and they finally died. It was great to see that LL Bean still made the same style. I ordered my normal size 10 and they fit great. Yes, my heal does lift a bit but that is how they are designed, same as the original. The new boots are not quite as rugged and stiff as the originals but I'm sure they will be fine. Here's to another 20 years.

This boot is nice but I won't truly know how wonderful until snow hits. The size I ordered, 8M, was based on another pair of Bean boots that I had worn. These boots are a tad large in width but truly a smaller size would have been too small....... I think one extra pair of socks will take care of the size issue. This boot appears will made and it's soft on the inside.

These are still well made. This is the first time that I purchased the shearling lined. Not sure if I like the "thick" look of the boot shaft. They do keep my feet nice and warm. Hoping they use conscienceous farms for their products.

I loved the boots. They fit well after I got them on. I had to return them because they were difficult to get off. The lining was coming out with my foot.

These are extremely comfortable, very stylish well made boots that work really well in slushy spring weather. They do run BIG. I read the reviews of that and ordered a size down and still have to wear very thick socks. Despite that, really great booties!!

This is such a classic winter boot and I was almost afraid that they had discontinued it. The brass buckle dresses it up a bit more than some of the other similar laceless boot styles that they carry. I typically wear a women's 9.5 shoe and the size 9 boot me fit very well wearing a thin sock with room for a thicker sock if needed. I love the slip on ease for around town errands, the supple leather, and the genuine sherpa lining. I am able to feel the internal seam connecting the leather to the rubber portion of the boot (hence my taking away one star). This does not make the boot painful to wear or walk around in and I am hoping the seam will soften a bit with time. I have not worn them through the winter season yet, but I am looking forward to it! Thank you L.L.Bean for continuing to make this timeless style of boot with the buckle.

I'm waiting to purchase the Women's 7" Shearling-Lined Lounger until LLBean brings back the boot in navy blue. My daughters wore these boots (tan upper with the navy bottom) all through their school years. They lasted forever! I love the classic look - Not liking the brown! Will that ever happen?

I'm usually a thrift store shopper and have never spent this much on a pair of shoes. I got these because I'm tired of my feet getting soaking wet whenever it rains or snows. These work great! My feet stay dry and warm. There is a little room at the top, but not too much. It's enough for me to tuck my pants into so they don't get soaked either. I expect the leather may get more stretchy as time goes on, but I'm okay with it.
My normal shoe size is 10W in women's. I read the weird sizing instructions but wasn't sure about ordering a smaller size. The boots are a little roomy on my feet compared to my normal shoes, but I don't know if the smaller size would be too tight or not. I'm keeping this pair though. If I ever look at getting a second pair for some reason or make it into an LLBean store, I may try a smaller size.
Another thing I'll call out is they aren't good for long walks. I tried it and my feet were hurting by the time I got back home. My sneakers are still better for that. These are good for doing errands or outside work like shoveling the driveway.
