These boots are great! I love the look, ( Ive always loved this style of boot) I wore them all around the Adirondacks the first week I had them, around town and on the trails. I will say, in my experience, they were a bit irritating at first at the ankle, but just loosening the laces up top a bit, all is well. Also, I read the reviews before I purchase anything, and I am always nervous about the sizing down recommendation. I wear a solid 10 in most every shoe. But LLBean is the exception. In their classic bean boots, the rubber and leather kind, I wear a 9. And in this boot I nervously ordered the 91/2. AND so glad I did, I can wear a smart wool sock or a ragg sock or really any regular sock and the boots fit great. Success! Also, one reviewer mentioned the sole. The sole is great, super flex and cushy, and looks good too! I waited over a year to order these, had to wait for the right time. I am very happy they are now mine.

These boots were comfortable right out of the box and are perfect for walking in my prairie restoration areas. The ankle padding is covered with leather, so they dont collect stickers and seeds. My only complaint is that the laces are not quite long enough to double knot.

I ordered 1/2 size up since I wear thicker socks. Fit is snug, but will stretch with wear. Pleased with my purchase

I ordered a 9 wide, it has been my size for 10+ years across brands. These were a full size (possibly two sizes) too long. The 8.5 wide is back ordered until January (it's currently October.) I have ordered an 8 wide since they are available. I was disappointed to find return shipping is not free. Most of their items seem to be online only and not in store and at $6.50 per return this trial and error could add up.

Awesome boot, but runs large. I liked everything about these boots except they were just too big. I normally wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8.5, but these were sooooo long. Sorry to return them. Would have tried sizing down, but they were no longer available. Drat!

This is a nice looking boot but it runs BIG. I usually wear a 9 but when I tried these on for the first time I had at least 3/4" left from the end of my big toe to the end of the boot. I waited a long time to get these as they were on back order and now I have to return them and wait for another smaller pair to arrive. Will try an 8 1/2 next.

I am a size W 7.5 -These are at least a full size larger. I had to look at the tag to make sure that they weren't men's. The tag said women 7.5. Either I got a pair that were labeled wrong or they are just huge. I have to return/exchange them. I'm just not sure if I should order a 6.5 or a 6. ?

These boots are really comfortable; until you walk all day in them. I could feel the top of the boot rubbing against my calf on my right foot and it was very uncomfortable. I did have thickish socks on but it didn't protect my leg from being rubbed raw. It also happened on my left leg as well but not as bad. I was very sad because other than that I loved the look and overall comfort of them. I had to return them.

I love the leather, and it is comfortable in the footbed. Problem: left boot was very narrow cut, and the right boot was wide cut. I ordered 7 1/2 reg. which is my normal size, the reviews were stating these are true to size, I have to disagree. They run rather large in length. They felt more like an eight, even with a narrower boot. I really wanted to love this boot unfortunately sending back.

I ended up returning these shoes because they weren't wide enough for me.

Uncomfortable around my ankles. I hoped to purchase these to wear on a trip that will require a lot of walking, but these boots didn't work for me!

These boots are durable, comfortable, and good looking. If you need a work boot, this is it.

These are well made leather boots, just beautiful exactly what I was looking for. Had to size down one the salesman said they run a little big. They fit perfect, a little stiff at first but they are getting lots of use.

I bought these boots in a size 10 regular width and they were huge on me. I ordered a 1/2 size down and hoping they work. Otherwise I will have to make another return.

Cute and sturdy but very stiff and I guess because my legs are not longer skinny, these just cut into my ankles and lower shins. Not my cup of winter tea.

So I bought these to wear doing volunteer shifts at the local zoo in the rain and they work great for that. I got a 7W because that is my usual size and they seemed a bit big. I chalked it up to getting an actual wide boot. I wear merino wool socks and started to notice that the area above the heels were getting holes. It is from these boots. Not sure if it is because they are too big and aren't tightening enough or if it is the seem behind the heel. It doesn't feel bad against my ankle but I have ruined multiple pairs of socks now. Not sure if I should try a different size. Too bad because they are lighter than most boots and waterproof and comfortable walking.

Nice boots, comfortable and rugged, but the footbed is narrow, despite the moccasin style. The women's wide felt more like a C than a D. They run big, so sizing uThis isn't the boot for anyone with hobbit feet. It might be worth trying the men's extra wide, when it is back in stock in the smaller sizes, but I had to return these.

Unfortunately, I had to return. I ordered my normal size and they seemed to be about 3 sizes too big.

Nicely made boot. It just didnt fit my foot. I need a wide toebox and narrow heel. There was too much boot shaft around the ankle as well. Sized like a sneaker, not a boot.

I bought these boots 2 years ago in 2023. Love them, very comfortable. However, now the sole is coming off one of the boots. I don't wear these every day, maybe once every two or three weeks to work in the yard/garden. I was very happy with them until now and it looks like I'm past the return period. (Bought the 7 wide)

Loved the style and price but had to return because they hit my ankle in just the wrong spot. Tried relacing a few times but it was too uncomfortable.

This is a nice looking boot but quite heavy. I also felt the wide across ball of foot not wide enough and for length a little short. I tried it on with my Bean Cresta wool hiking sock but not my orthotic. I am hard to fit because my foot is only wide due to bunions!!!! It's hard to buy online especially shoes! I am a devoted LL Bean customer but happen to have an irregular shape both in body and feet!,,

I want to live these boots! The sizing seems large, no arch support. I had to return them.
