I originally bought this for my daughter for school hoping she could use this from class to class, because they can not carry their regular full size back pack. It is pretty small - I use it for my gym shoes when going to the gym. The straps on it are really short and can NOT be worn like a string back pack.

I bought this to use at the pool or beach. The first time I used it I had something small that was a little wet and it went straight through the plastic liner to the fabric. This bag did not live up to what I thought it was supposed to handle.

I gave this item as a Bridal Shower gift. Not really sure if the person who won it likes it or not. But I enjoyed giving it to her.

I bought a ditty bag last year to use as a small laundry bag for vacations. It was great because it would semi-stand up on it's own b/c the inner plastic was thick enough. The recent ditty bags, the inner plastic is slightly thinner, so it does not stand up on its own and will sag over. Also noticed it has a strong plastic smell that I'm still waiting to see if it will air out. I don't use it as a waterproof bag, so cannot attest to that.

Much smaller that I anticipated. I was expecting the VB quilted fabric.

I was disappointed that this is just thin fabric with no quilting. Nice to put a swimsuit in since it's plastic lined. Not what I expected.

What am I supposed to do with a ditty bag? Currently, it just holds my other Vera items.

I just got this bag in fanfare pattern to use for my wedding day . It will be perfect to hold my wedding shoes and other emergency essentials for the big day. I like how the inside of the bag is lined for later use. I plan taking this for our honeymoon to ocmd in June. Also I got this in limes up for the beach and to put my bathing suit and toiletries in. I recommend this bag for anyone That wants a grab and go travel bag for the little things. I plan on picking up the Canterbury magenta pattern as well as a few more for my bridesmaids and as Christmas gifts. Thank you Vb for a great product!:-)

For what it is (a pretty bag with plastic inside to protect the cloth), the ditty bag IS a good idea. However, I'd rather they just make a bigger bag with the same lining as the ditty bag is quite small for a day at the beach or pool, and it is awkward to carry. I've almost given mine away on an occasion or two just because I use it so little, but somehow I always give it another chance. So far, it has yet to prove to me that it is an absolutely fantastic item like the other Vera items I own.

I received this bag as a gift in Symphony in Hue. At first I ABSOLUTELY loved this bag.... I loved the plastic lining, and the style. However, I made the mistake of letting my daughter take this to Field Day, (a day where she was outside the majority of the day.. ) Anyway, She packed a VERY large gatorade in the bag and when she took the lid off to get a drink, she didn't put the lid back on all the way, and the bag fell over and the drink spilled. But not only did it spill, it seeped through the bag and onto the bleachers and caused the color to fade... NOT too waterproof like it says. Still own my ditty bag and use it as a pool bag for wet swimsuits. BUT I make sure i wrap the swimsuit in a towel. In conclusion, if you want a durable/waterproof bag i do not recommend this one...

This bag is smaller than I thought it would be. I wanted it to throw in my gym bag for dirty clothes and towels after my shower but it's really too small for all of that. The plastic lining looks sturdy, as well as the closure, but this costs too much and is too small to replace the drawstring shopping bag I've been using that fits everything.

I think these bags are adorable, and I actually like that they are not quilted, which makes them very easy to pack. I bring a couple with me on each vacation to separate clothes, pack lingerie, and bring home dirty clothes. However, it's not waterproof. I used one at the pool last summer and put my daughter's wet bathing suit in it. It wasn't even that wet...but it completely leaked through the bag and got everything in my bag wet. I also originally thought I could use it to pack a change of clothes for my daughter, and it's fine for dry clothes, but I would never put an accident in there. Vera needs a real wet bag that is actually waterproof.

As all Vera stuff, it is cute and a durable bag. The problem is the tiny straps dig into your arm if you have weighty items. I used it for my lunch and snacks at work with water bottles. The plastic liner is great, but with the weight of filled bottles and food, it is painful to carry the bag any distance. Once empty, it is great. So my don't recommend is with the warning: if your use is for food and beverage, consider the perfect pocket tote.

i am on my 3rd ditty bag. I can fit all of my larger bathroom items such as shampoo and body wash into this bag so i do love that. My only complaint is that the plastic lining is not durable enough. Every ditty bag that I have had the plastic lining has torn in several places. I think the liner should be thicker.

Not nearly as nice as the 1 string dittly bag i bought for myself many years ago. Seems like the fabric quality is cheaper and this is more of a back pack style now, not a hobo bag style. But still functions great esp for wet items and bag for suncreen items

Nothing wrong with this bag, just not what I thought it would be. Don't like the material it is made of. Didn't return it... I'll find a use for it.

I bought this for myself as a birthday present. The bag is lovely and the right size, but fabric is insubstantial and there are no pockets or organizating features. Dry disappointed.

I have two of these from years past and splurged and bought a new one because I love them so much. The cheap plastic smell was never an issue with the older ones. I won't buy another one again due to the odor. It's been airing out all day and it's still just as strong as when I opened it.

Love Vera Bradley. greatly disappointed that after washing by ditty bag, per product instructions, it fell apart. Unfortunately I feel like the price of the product doesn't match the quality. Very disappointed!!!

I bought two of these. They were for my 11 and 14 year old granddaughters. When I opened the box, I was shocked at the small size. They might hold a wet suit. Where will they put a wet towel? This was a disappointment for me. I am usually very happy with Vera purchases. This item needs to be twice the size. Sorry to report an unhappy choice.

I'm so jealous of those that have bags that haven't ripped. The lining in mine ripped quickly. Also, the string handle looks to be a good idea but put any weight in that bag and it will dig into your hand/arm/shoulder. I so wanted to like this bag.
