Just enough room for essentials without being bulky and heavy. Hobos and totes are my favorite bag silhouettes, and this one is great. Purchased this with the small cosmetic bag and the turnlock wallet. Those fit perfectly, with room left for a LARGE bunch of keys, a brush, and a few other small items in the main compartment. Three inside slip pockets handle an assortment of pens, a pair of reading glasses, and an aluminum credit card wallet. I haven't even gotten to the inside zip pocket or the outside zip pocket. Pop the cell phone in one of the outside end pockets. Haven't figured out what to put in the other outside end pocket. Love this bag!

This bag is so versatile. I love that it is the PERFECT size with thick straps. I have three of these purses and absolutely love them. Lots of pockets to store odds and ends. GREAT PURSE!

My boyfriend got this bag for me in the new Venetian Paisley for Christmas and it is my new favorite bag! I used to adore the Mailbag style, but I found it to be a little too big for me, and the Hipster style is just too small. The On the Go is the PERFECT size. It fits my essentials (wallet, keys, phone, lip balm, and lotion) very comfortably. The outside pockets are very small however, so I usually just stick my headphones or chapstick in them. Regardless, this is my new favorite style and I will definitely be buying more patterns!

This bag is the greatest one I have ever bought. It is great as a sholder bag. I love all the compartments outside and inside. The other great feature is crossbody for shopping and great for hands free in amusement parks with grandkids. large enough for thier stuff and mine. Please never even concider discontinuing this bag. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I work in a hair salon with 20 other stylist. I have turned everyone onto this bag.

I have had this bag for about a month now. When I got it I didn't think it would fit much, but it has actually turned out just perfect for me! I got it in Rhythm and Blues. It fits my big fat wallet (and like the name says, my wallet is definitely big, and is a full size non Vera one#. I also have my checkbook with Vera cover in it, Vera soft case for my sunglasses, AND it fits the Vera Mirror Cosmetic (turned vertical). And it still zips!!!!! I keep my cell phones in the zippered pocket outside. I also love the long strap. I would def buy another one of these bags.

I really like the space distribution of zippers, pockets, strap. and space in general. The previous on the go had a wider zipper on the back side and less rounded pockets on the sides-I liked those features. I also like the inside zip pocket in a real lining of the new model. I like the wider strap of the previous model, but the new one is fine. It really is my go to purse though. whenever I use another purse I am happy to get back to these purses. I have at least 8 of them!

this is my first EVER Vera Bradley bag & LOVE IT!! Bought it in Baroque & love the colors. I like green but I didn't want too much. This bag had the perfect amount of green mixed with back, white & gray. The size is almost perfect, I like smaller bags but couldn't find any I actually liked with the pockets & etc that I wanted. So this bag has grown on me & plan on buying more when I find a pattern I like.

I have this bag in at least six different colors. Its best features are the outer small pockets, the outer zip pocket, and the adjustable strap. I carry it almost everyday wherever I go. My last one is the solid black. I have many Vera bags, but on the go is my favorite.

I bought this in Jazzy Blooms there is nothing wrong with it at all. The colors are beautiful, the size is perfect. I have received many compliments! What else can I say?

This bag is one of a kind! The side slip pockets is nice for trash and hand sanitizer! Great for shopping or just hanging out!

My bag is Paisley Meets Plaid, I LOVE it! It is a great size. Has plenty of room for everything I need to carry on a daily basis. It is light weight and very pretty. I would like to see a small zipper compartment on the front of the bag, this would be great for keys, I.D., or anything you need quick, but don't want to loose. The slide pockets on the ends are nice for keys or glasses, but they have fallen out if the purse falls over. Tthe interior is great, plenty of slip pockets and a big zipper pocket for plenty of organization. The cross body is so convenient when shopping or running errands. All in all a well organized bag and beautiful colors.

Perfect for me. I love the outside pocket to hold my keys. One side pocket holds my phone (iphone 4s with cover) and the other side holds my sunglasses. The inside pocket is extra roomy for all my girly stuff (lip gloss, barrettes, makeup, etc.) and the slip pockets are great for pens, receipts, gum. There's lots of room left over for my wallet and anything else I need to carry. Finally, enough pockets and places to keep me well organized. Perfect size for me, and strap is long enough to be a cross body when I need it, or adjustable to be a shoulder carrier too. Only wish the side pocket was slightly larger, as it is a bit of a squeeze getting my phone with case in there, but it can be done and it feels secure, definitely won't fall out, once it's in there.

This is my first Vera bag and it is awesome! I got it in Lime it Up and just love how summery and bright it is. It holds so much and isn't too deep that I have to dig to find things. I love that the strap extends and I can make it a cross-body bag.

I got the On the Go in Tutti Frutti, it was just what I was looking for. I have three little boys and it's big enough to hold my keys, cell phone, wallet and snacks or small toys for trips out with the kids. It's also nice to have large zippered pockets to keep things hidden from my toddler, and my cell phone fits in one of the outside pockets for easy access (a little snug with the Galaxy S2 in a case, but it does fit). My favorite part is that I can use it as a cross body when I am out with the kids and then a shoulder bag when I don't need the cross body. Love this bag!

I just bought the new style On The Go because my old On The Go handbag met an untimely demise. Pros: I love that the new purse has two zippered pockets (one inside and one outside) and larger slip pockets on the inside of the purse. All three slip pockets are now wide enough to fit an iPhone in an Otter box. The hardware that allows you to adjust the strap is now metal, not plastic, and seems much more durable. Cons: The strap is narrower and a little longer (a few inches) so the purse doesn't hit at the same spot as the previous style. In the end this is still the perfect handbag and crossbody in one. Large enough to hold everyday essentials but not too big that it accumulates a lot of extra junk.

I just bought the On The Go on Saturday from my VB store in Tutti Fruitti.Great color. I didn't even notice a difference with this new style. I am still able to cram everything that I carry on a daily basis in the bag. I bought a turn lock wallet (my favorite) and a small coin purse ( like to get one for all my cards that I carry for different stores). So with those items plus a trial size can of hairspray, a trial size bottle of my perfume, extra keys, checkbook all in the main area I have room. In the zipper pocket inside I keep my gum, mints, extra pens. In the slip pockets I keep my Ipod, small note book, etc. I have plenty of room. The outside zipper pocket holds my lipstick, lip gloss, nail file, aspirins, band aides and a small mirror with no problem.I use the outside side pockets for my Iphone 5 with a case and it fits with no problem. I love this bag and will get another in Ribbons just as soon as they have the lock wallet in Ribbons available.

I have about 10 On the Go bags which I obviously love. However the last one I received as a gift in portabello has been redesigned a little. The outside pocket is not as wide and the inside pockets are a different size, also. I do like the new inside zippered pouch. I have had to shift my necessities into different configurations to make everything fit. It's been a little inconvenient, but this design bag is still my favorite because I can carry my cell phone in one outside pocket and my glasses case in the other, always ready to grab and use.

I LOVE THIS PURSE...I just purchased it and can't find one thing wrong with it. It is a perfect bag. I can fit so much in it, love the clean, classy look, it can be worn for everyday or a more elegant affair. Easy to keep things organized, love the side pockets and the outside zipper compartment. All in all its a great purse. The straps are adjustable which makes the bag even more versital. And I know purses I have many!!! I recommend it 100%.

After reading the reviews before I bought the newly designed On the Go bag, I had some concerns. Hopefully my review will help clear it up for others. It's a great size - I was carrying the Betsy, then the Saddle Up (older style). I fell in love with the cross-body style. The Saddle Up was a little big for me. The On the Go is perfect - enough pockets so everything doesn't end up in the bottom. Love the outside pockets. As regard to the other reviews- the side pockets are a good side. I have an iPhone 4S in an Otter Box Commuter case - fits just fine; I didn't have to stretch it or anything. The bag has a sturdy bottom insert - some reviewers noted they changed the style but mine had an insert for the bottom. Over all - love the bag. I like it better than the Saddle Up bag, no flap to get in the way. The outside pockets are great and hold stuff nicely - my phone is secure, doesn't fall out.

First off let me say something about the whole 'old vs. new' argument with this bag: the upgrades to the interior were needed. So many of VB's bags have no internal zipper pocket and I'll gladly take them over tiny little pockets put on the outside or inside. It's true that the side pockets on the outside are smaller and can hardly fit anyone's phone, especially those with a case! But think of what it can fit! A pack of gum, hand sanitizer, spare change, a tic-tac case! All it takes is some rearranging to get used to, and old habits die hard, but take it easy on the new On the Go because I love it. The bigger slip pocket on the inside is needed; it can actually fit a phone longer and wider than your typical iPhone (all you Android users can rejoice). The interior zipper pocket is an obvious plus. The bag DOES come with a hard bottom (at least mine did) and does not sag with your items in it. The outside zip pocket can fit a number of items but they cannot be bulky (like a bottle of advil or a mini wallet). Long crossbody strap: love it of course. Give this bag a shot. It's great as a day bag and can carry more than you think. I wouldn't recommend it over the Mailbag when it comes to how much it can hold, but this is a decent alternative to those who don't carry books or a laptop.

I just got this bag to replace a patterned On the Go bag. I was very hesitant with some of the reviews. The strap is a little stiffer, but it does not stand straight up. I tried to get it to stand straight up and couldn't do it. My biggest worry with this bag was that I always put my iPhone 4S in the side pocket and it wouldn't fit easily... I just put an old Otterbox in the pocket with an Angry Bird brick from kids' toys and it stretched the pocket perfectly without showing any wear. The bag does not seem smaller than the patterned ones, I personally think it feels bigger. And I'm sure the bag will only get better as it stretches out and breaks in. It looks very classy.

I purchased this bag in Priscilla Pink and it looks great! It fits everything I need. I am 16, and I think this bag is perfect for teens or adults! The side pockets are great for my cellphone on one side and a small hand lotion on the other side. I have a small cellphone, but it does fit an iPhone (with the top sticking out just a little). I love the interior zipper pocket, and the slip pockets keeps me organized. The exterior zipper pocket is perfect for coupons or a little extra cash. This bag is very comfortable to wear as a cross body or a shoulder bag. It's the perfect size for me, not too big and not too small. I'd call this a medium-sized bag. It's the best bag I've ever owned and I plan on purchasing more Vera Bradley bags later this year!

I have 4 bags that are on the go. This is a great bag. I like the size and I like the outside side pockets. I use one for my cell phone and the other one for my glasses. Don't ever stop making this bag. I wish it came in a red or something with red. I have an old red one that I use and I have washed it so much, it's beginning to look bad, but I can't find another one in red. I'll keep waiting for a red one to come out. Keep making this bag and I'll keep buying one.

I love the on the go bags, was so afraid you would stop making that style. So happy you just updated. Everytime I think I have purchased my last, a new color comes out I just must have. Have several coach bags that just sit in the closet, Vera Bradley is my first love in bags. Now buying the wallets to match.

I look and look and then I purchase and am disappointed! Not ever again! I bought this purse on the recommendation of a friend and will never buy any other brand again. It is light weight. The handle is just the right length and just enough pockets. Liked it so much I immediately ordered it in black. So glad I listened to my friend.
