Nice fit and warm thick flannel, but followed washing care instructions and it shrunk enough that it no longer fit. LLBean honored exchange so trying SM in slightly fitted version and hope it shrinks to be the same fit as the SM slim fit

Ran small, & paying shipping to exchange is a definite bummer!

I liked the shirt, but it was really smelly! Even after I washed it.

The fabric is soft and comfortable but the cut is too baggy

In years past I have loved the Scotch plaid shirts for their quality and Scotch vibe. I was about to purchase the antique Stewart until my wife read the reviews and said look again. Sure enough, the plaids don't line up on the side seams. How unseemly! In photos of the different patterns some are not even close. I'd pay a bit more to have the old thickness and seam-matched patterns. LL - we come to you for that kind of quantity. Can you go back to it again?

Good quality, but the fit is NOT SLIM, more non-morbidly obese. I'm 6' 185lbs, long arms, but I don't have a barrel chest. I need a large to accomodate the arm length, but it's way too wide for a non-typical American physique, even in slim. Had to break out the sewing machine to take in the sides by 2 cm each.

Not the usual pretty red of old LL Bean days. Hate overseas products. A shopper for over 60 years.

Size for fat people. Not sure why it's labeled Slim Fit

Slim is not actually slim. And the length of the shirt is about 2 inches too long for wearing untucked. It looks frumpy. I'm 5'10" and about 160 lbs for context. This is for a small slim fit shirt. The cotton is thicker than budget flannel, but that's about the only positive. I may try to tailor these shirts myself to reduce the length, but that doesn't remedy the extra fabric in the torso. I think LL Bean doesn't actually know what slim means.

I could always rely on LLBean products. Bean has been a "go-to" brand for me since 1975 and I hope this one is fluke. The shirt is fine, but given my size (6'3", 190), I always order a large "Slim Fit" in a "Tall" size which has always been a very good fit. The shape of the shirt is great, the flannel soft, but the sleeve length is much too short which basically means that I don't wear it since the sleeves fit too short on my wrists. I'll drop it in the local used clothing bin in hopes someone can wear it.

The shirt itself is attractive. However, for me, the dealbreaker is the fact that it only has one pocket. I need two pockets - one for my glasses, and one for my phone.

It was a nice shirt but the sleeves were too short even though it was a "tall". Returned with no issues

It's an ok flannel. Shrunk in the wash. Button placket wrinkles over every time I wash it. Fabric weight is pretty good for the price. I'm 6' 165lbs and wear a large. Sleeve length is good, body length could be another inch or two. It's definitely not a "Vermont flannel". Biggest disappointment with this shirt is the pilling, it's absolutely horrible.

I bought this shirt in two different colors, but upon receiving them, I noticed that the stripes were completely misaligned at the hem on both sides of the shirt. To me, this was a clear sign of inferior quality and not worth the $58 I paid. I decided to return them and order two new shirts, thinking that maybe I received a one-off low-quality shirt, but the two new shirts had the same mismatch. I have been a long-time buy of LL Bean because they sell Tall sizes, and so I was obviously disappointed to see this misalignment in the two shirts. The customer service I received was helpful and I was able to return for a full refund, but if alignment along the hem line is important to you, please consider checking before purchasing.

This shirt shrunk 2 sizes after washing according to instructions which are "Wash cold...Tumble dry low". I was surprised that a flannel would need such delicate care. I am a 5'6" tall woman, average build. I ordered this shirt in the men's size medium. I'm going to gift this shirt to my 10 year old Grandson. The cut is very awkward and there are no design features that would make this a good all around work shirt or layering piece. No back shoulder pleating, no underarm gussets. I was very disappointed. I liked the flannel colors and the softness, but that's about it.

41" chest and 32" waist. This shirt is too tight for me, I may be better off with a slightly fitted shirt rather than a slim fit. However, I am surprised at how thin the flannel material is. Much less hefty than other flannel shirts I own.

Slim fit was anything but. Material and quality otherwise was excellent, but I returned it because there are better fitting flannels for my 6'1/180lbs frame

Given to me as a Christmas present, I rarely wear it because it always needs ironing ( which might be expected) but I didn't anticipate the arms shrinking so much that I can only wear them rolled up. Sad to see quality slip in a company I've used over 50 years. And yes, I washed it according to instructions!

6'4 and 190 lbs and I think there was room for a second me inside. I liked the material and pattern so I had it professionally altered and it's still bigger than I would have preferred and I can't return it now. :(

One of the things I like about flannel shirts is that they come out of the dryer looking good. This one does not! I didn't know flannel could get so wrinkled. I bought one of the other model flannel shirts and it comes out of the dryer great.

After no washing and wearing 2 hours, one button fell off. The shirt is as thin as a dress shirt and is not as warm as others I have owned. Fit perfectly though.

The shirt was very nice and fit well however, after 2-3 wearings and washes, the collar is separating from the shirt clearly defective in that the fabric was not properly aligned before sewing the collar on. I resent the time this takes for me to resolve this issue, plus there is the added embarrassment of giving a Christmas gift that has quality issues.

Sales person recommended a med...Shirt is over sized, collar was over sized, sleeves and shirttail was way long. Chest was also large for a medium. For 50 plus dollars not worth the money. A poor value at 50 bucks.( 5ft 10 ....140lbs.) I am requesting a refund.

The quality is poorer. The size is actually smaller than the other scotch plaid flannel I ordered last year. Disappointed. Probably will return.

Disappointed with this shirt received as a gift. Over two years the sleeve length has shrunk, the fabric wrinkles terribly and the shirt now rarely gets worn. Yes I washed in cold and dried on low. A weakened warrantee and more outsourced products has me hesitate buying from Bean - and I have been a customer over 50 years.
