LL Bean no longer alters sleeves so cost increases 50%. Used to do all my shopping at LL Bean but now only occasionally.

In a household of 3 tall men (6'2", 6'4" and 6'5"). The consensus is that LLBean tall sizes are a good fit for the arms but the shirt length is maybe a inch ir so too long.

Solid shirt. It's a very thick material and it's warm. The only thing is it is really too big. I think it's too long and it's baggy for a slim fit. I think if I buy another one I'll have to get a small but I always wear mediums.

This is a very well made, soft and warm, flannel shirt sized to properly fit slender men. That said, I find the torso length to be longer than my preference as it comes clear down to the crotch of my pants and, as such, is longer than my coats...including my rain coat, which is a stupid error in design in my opinion. I'm going to keep it because otherwise the fit is great, but will likely have it shortened a couple of inches.

This is my third Scotch plaid (tartan is the proper terminology). It is Swan. I purchased in 2023, and wore for one season. There was something about the collar that never seemed right. It didn't lay flat and it bunched up in the back. I wore it recently and was reminded of the bad fit. I compared the shirt to the others and I discovered the collar buttons were asymmetrically sewn on and were nowhere they should have been compared to the other two shirts. They were much too close to the neck line and the placket. I didn't return the shirt. I fixed it by moving the buttons to where they should have been. If I had been more inquisitive last year, I would have returned it then and saved myself the labor. I will now check every shirt before I buy it.

The color was much different than the picture online and I was disappointed with it. The quality is good as always with LL Bean and the fit. That is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

This shirt/Tartan is great, but I would have preferred the MacHardy Tartan. Please, please bring it back!!!!

This flannel shirt is the usual high-quality I'm used to with Bean. Love the thickness and warmth of the flannel. Since I already have one in a different pattern, which I've worn for several years, I know it will hold up.

Fit is nice and trim, but elbows could use a touch more room as the sleeves feel tight when I bend my arm. The sleeves are long, which could be fixed by moving the sleeve buttons over to make the wrist tighter.

I like the material, looks great. The sizing is a little snug. I'm 6'3", 190 lbs, large/tall size, broad shoulders, "athletic" arms?, but thin. The chest and waist is great, just what I wanted so I'm not awash in fabric, but the sleeves are a bit snug.

It was a BD gift for my adult son ordered on 10/2 & did not arrive til the 10/12 , very disappointing as it arrived 4 days after his BD. My son liked the shirt but I don't know that he has worn it yet. The pic of the shirt you posted w/ the survey is not what we ordered , we did receive the correct one .

Love the shirt, just wish they had it in regular fit instead of slim fit.

A few years back I ordered a flannel shirt for my husband. To this day when I take it out of the washer and dryer, it looks brand new and needs no ironing. The shirts I ordered for him this year require ironing.

I'm 6'3 and athletic 200 lbs. I feel like it was a more traditional fit because there was a lot of room in the mid section. I buy tall in most other brands, but this was almost silly long. I'm returning and trying a regular length medium. We shall see.

Shirt seems small for a size large. It doesn't fit as loose as the short sleeve shirts I bought.

True to size; soft and warm shirt. Purchased this for my son for Christmas and he really liked the way it fit. So glad that Bean is now offering slim fit shirts. The only reason that I did not rate a 5 star was, because I was unable to have the slim fit shirt monogramed.

Very nice, well-made shirt. Super soft flannel, sturdy construction. I bought it looking for a more athletic fit and I think the cut of the armholes and sleeves is good in that regard but there is quite a bit of room in the torso. I am 185 with a 33 waist; a buyer could get away with a 40 waist without tugging buttons here so I'd have liked a thinner body section. Plenty of length, regular length buyers who aren't super tall won't have to worry about it coming untucked or looking short. I'd like "slim" to mean "slim" rather than "inclusive," but all in all a great value in a flannel shirt.
