I bought this flannel for my son for Christmas, he loves flannel shirts, he wears them everyday here in the Pacific Northwest. His biggest challenge for shirts is that they are usually too wide and they bubble in the back . He's tall and slim athletic build. Enter the slim fit flannel shirt from Bean, it is a perfect fit, very warm and soft , no excess fabric in the back just a nice slim fit. He loves it, wears it all of the time and says "thanks mom I love this flannel". Thank you L.L. Bean. you knocked it out of the park.

This is a great shirt. I ordered the black watch plaid in a Men's Small. It is a perfect fit! The shirt is well made from high quality fabric. It washes well and holds its shape! We are so thankful for LL Bean. It is so difficult to find high quality clothing in nice, classic styles. I highly recommend this shirt.

My boyfriend loves the fit, I love the grey and yellow plaid. Very soft. Would buy again, but this was the only plaid you're offering that I liked. The slim fit is perfect for a slender man. For someone with more weight in their torso, it might be too tight.

The slim fit is what I expected which is good since traditional fit is too blousy. The flannel is quite heavy. I wish LL Bean still sold the Lakeshore Flannel. Just need to sell it in a slim fit as well.

Bought it longer than my usual Regular. Use it early AM to go outside for newspaper, etc. It's perfect - just warm enough.

This shirt is just what I wanted. Most Bean "medium" sizes tend to "swallow" me. This shirt is a nice comfortable flannel that just fits, and now, of course, they are "sold out" on line. Obviously the demand is there, Bean needs to order more.

I bought two of these and use them as often as I can wash them. The material is soft, durable, and keeps me warm on a brisk day, but for colder temps, this may not work as well. Arm length on a medium is about a 34 if this were a fitted dress shirt. I like that most wrinkles come out in the dryer and thus, it doesn't need to be ironed. Also nice is that it didn't shrink much in the dryer so it stayed true to size. I've put the shirts through a few washes and they have held up well.

I have been buying LLBean clothing for decades, mostly in the XL Tall size. They have always been well constructed and long lasting. But for a long, slender torso, they have had too much material. When the slightly fitted came along, I jumped on those. Still too much material, but better. Today, I received both a henley and a tartan plaid shirt in the newly provided "SLIM" fit sizing. I am pleased to say this is finally the right sizing for us tall, lanky types. BRAVO, LL Bean. Provide this SLIM fit in as many TOPS as possible. I am sure I am not the only "SLIM FIT" purchaser of your fine outdoor clothes.

I recently discovered men's slim fit flannels fit my long torso and arms, while also not being as boxy as you'd expect. These haven't been washed yet, but this flannel is SO soft - softer than Penguin men's slim fit flannels I've bought before but which run about $90 each. These flannels are thick and extra warm. Well worth the investment!

Finally the classic flannels in a slim fit. I have tried the slightly fitted before and it still feels too big. This slim fit is perfect. It provides the cut of the Signature line but in the fabric and colors of the classics. Will definitely order more!

I have a shortened torso so height and size are misleading. I wear shirts with 37" sleeves and I am slender. I am 6' and going down with a weight of 160. The large tall slim fit fits great! Love the softness of the material. I have other of these shirts I bought in 2010 and only recently had the collars worn through. The material has also thinned since they have been through the wash so much. Given how long I have been able to use/wear them they are definitely worth it.

Having tried the partially fitted shirts and finding them to be too baggy in the midsection, I gave this a shot and found the fit to be much more to my liking. I felt the shirt was appropriately slim, but not slim enough if you were to wear a t-shirt under it. The sleeves and body of the shirt fell at just the right places on me and the shirt seems thicker than other flannels I own, as well as being warm. Would definitely recommend this.

Good quality, the collar is a little loose if you have a developed upper back. Medium tends to "collar gap" on me at 5'9"175lbs

Still a good shirt but the material is thinner and not quite as nice as before. I wish I had purchased more of the original.

Regular fit large looks bulky and should be sized Xlarg.
