Perfect in every way except (1) a bit too heavyweight, and (2) collar flares up rather than settling flush with shoulders.

The quality just is getting lower and lower with your products.

Although the quality of the sweater was up to Bean's standard, my husband found the sweater was "too heavy" to wear. The heaviness made the sweater uncomfortable to wear.,

Purchased 1/4 zip before and loved it. This Runs large and is baggy/saggy in the same size

Nice weight, but like many cotton sweaters it does not hold its shape all that well. The pockets sag out, and the sweater makes the wearer look a little pear-shaped, with a wide bottom. But the color was wonderful, and the weight of the sweater is just great. It feels great, it is very comfortable, and a good length.

I purchased two sweaters in a large and had to return both because they run very big. I had purchased this sweater in a different color in 2019 and it fit just right and looks great. Perhaps it is the iron color style that runs big. I give this sweater 3-stars because the sweater's quality is 5-stars but unfortunately it runs too big.

I expected more. The sweater is heavy, thick, but not as warm as I would have thought it would be. I live in southern California and enjoy driving my convertible with the top down on days when the temperature is pretty cool. I bought this sweater so I could remain sufficiently warm without blasting my heater and toasting my feet. I'm afraid that's not going to happen. I am keeping it because my wife likes covering her lap when it's chilly. Oh well.

Though this garment looks great, and fits well, it is very heavy, and thus not very comfortable.

Very thick and heavy making it uncomfortable. Sizing off also; skimpy. Returned this item.

This is a great sweater and I really loved it until I wore it a few times and the cuffs on the sleeves stretched out so much that it looked ridiculous, Tried washing and banding the cuffs but they never went back into shape. I have several other Bean cotton zip ups and they are all fine. I think it's the weave on this one.

I absolutely loved this sweater when I first got it. It was perfect for fall in Europe and our Colorado winter. Then, one fateful day I noticed a pull and broken weave. My wife quickly fixed it for me. However, it continued to have threads pull and then one day I noticed the sleeve was coming apart at the seam. Sigh, Sweaty (Yes, the sweater was so loved it had a name) finally had succumbed to his injuries. It's still in my closet, waiting for me to have it repaired to wear another day. It is very comfortable and looked very nice. I just wished it was more durable.

I returned the 1/4 zip version after only wearing it 3 times. I bumped into a friend yesterday that had this sweater on. I asked him how he liked it. He said after only wearing it for a year the elbows are already wearing out and the sweater has stretched noticeably. Guess I won't be buying this one either. What happened to the quality L.L. Bean?

I'm disappointed with this sweater. The style seems fit for older people (55+), and the men's tall is too long in the torso and sleeves, even though it is the recommended size for someone 6'2".

Received this and immediately tried it on. I liked what I saw online and HOPED it was as generous as a sweater should be, but alas that was NOT the case. Arm holes are on the tighter side, fit overall at the 2xl size level was more snug than "sweater" like. I dont understand why LL Bean, an American company feels the need to call their "traditional" fit generous. It feels more european that anything else. Most "American" guys I work with are a bit on the healthy side! I mean at least offer a 3xl to quell the concerns of the bigger guys like myself. LL Bean, what gives? Are you not interested in making clothing for slightly larger guys?

Ordered this for a Christmas gift but returned it right away. The blue was a gorgeous color but the feel of this sweater was heavy and like most heavy cotton sweaters, clammy feeling. Just not what I'd want to give my friend. I'm done ordering cotton sweaters. I'm spoiled with the warmth, softness and coziness of sweaters with some synthetic in them.

Lousy sizing, I wear large in most everything, I'm very fit and weight lift. This sweater I received should be considered a XXL

I ordered this sweater for my Dad, thinking he'd enjoy a lightweight cotton sweater for late summer and fall. This sweater is anything but lightweight! Very heavy and bulky, with overly large arms. Back it went!

Zipper broke on the sweater I bought also, and sewing interfered with insertion of right side into left at bottom. Wonderful sweater, crappy zipper.
