The color was very attractive. The overall weight of the sweater is heavy for my 90 plus year old husband, but he wears it proudly.

I have owned this sweater for several years and it still looks like it just came out of the wrappings. The only drawback, in my opinion, is that it is very heavy and can only be worn when it is quite cold. Not for wearing inside. That limits the times I can wear it since I live in Georgia (even though it is 28 degrees this morning as I write this).

Overall it is well made product. It does, however, feel very heavy which takes away from the comfort. I was, and still am, looking for something in a casual, yet slightly dressy fleece. The ones currently offered are cut too tight in the shoulder and sleeves. Moving up to a large to get a more relaxed fit in the shoulders and sleeves gives enough sleeve length for me and the grand boys. I also prefer a square tail as opposed to the flap. I would like to see more American made products. Material and labor.

We loved the color of this blue. The sweater is very heavy and bulky. It definitely keeps him warm.

Very nice sweater, I'm really enjoying it. Quality seems excellent. My only comment is that it fits well around my shoulders and arms, but is too big around my waist. I know a medium would be too small around my shoulders, just wish the waist fit better.

Good sweater. Needs more reinforcement for pocket openings. My left pocket opening top came loose with in a month. I use the sweater only on the office where I work in a constant chilly environment. Don't put my hands in the pocket much.

I run cold and wear sweaters often. Having a soft, warm sweater that I can put on and take off without having to mess up my hair - especially at work - is so nice. The sweater itself is substantial in terms of weight meaning it's a little on the heavier side but not overwhelming so by any means. I'm 52 years old and my kids tell me it's a total dad sweater which I don't mind because they actually like cozying up to me when I wear it. Overall, I'd recommend it.

I have several of these sweaters in different colors (vintage indigo, saddle, and rustic red) and like the cotton material, the colors, the pattern, the feel and the mid-weight warmth. I had, and still have, several of the predecessor generations ("blue jean" sweaters) that I also like. This new generation seems to have a tighter weave and more interesting pattern. The new generation also has shorter sleeves and a shorter body length in my size (XL, Tall) which I like - the blue jean sweaters tended to run too long in both the sleeves and body. BUT, this new generation has one problem for me - the ribbed collar sits too high on the sweater (same 3" width as the old generation, but the start of the collar is about 6" from the shoulder, whereas on the old generation, the start of the collar is about 4" from the shoulder). The net effect is that when you zip up the sweater all or most of the way, the ribbed collar bunches up in front of your neck instead of laying flat; which can sometimes poke you in the chin. Maybe LL Bean can fix this for next year.

You can never tell these days about sizing. I often wear a size Large, but sometimes a Medium fits better. In this case, I suspected that a Small might work, and boy did I guess correctly. It is not too small or short and looks and feels great. Sleeve length is perfect. I will have to make sure to wash it in cold water, though. Not much room for shrinkage, which is fine with me.

A well made sweater in all respects but one. Like so many of the tall men's upper body garments we have bought over the past 50 years from L.L. Bean the tall men's size lack 2-3" of length. If L.L. Bean wants to label a garment as tall and charge a premium price then don't short us on length to increase its profit margin or that of its foreign supplier. Better too long then too short.

THIS IS A WELL MADE SWEATER AND COMFORTABLE . WILL BE BETTER IN SPRING AND FALL AS IT IS NOT THAT WARM FOR WINTER UNLESS YOU WEAR IT UNDER A COAT

Stylish yet functional sweater. Definitely keeps you warm and not too baggy so it fits nicely under a down jacket. I've gotten a lot of compliments. Ready to buy more but all the large's are sold out on line.

This is a very nice "Heavy" Sweater that does run large. I generslly wear X-Lge on most shirts, sweaters, etc....but my first order (an X-Lge) was huge...more like an XX- Lge. I returned it for a large size and it fits great

Because it was a loose weave, it was bulky without being real warm. Given it was made of cotton, I was surprised that the Waffle Sweater had an itchy feel. Although most of the sweater fit well, the neck area was too tight for me to zipper. I felt that this Cotton Waffle Sweater did not meet LL Bean's usual high standards.

The sweater material is great--soft and warm. What makes it less than great is that the zipper tips at the top of the sweater make it stiff and poke into the neck. The only way it's comfortable is to try and treat the neck as a turn down collar.

It was well made, but very bulky. I decided to return it because it wasn't appropriate for the weather here in Southern California

I love this sweater and it is very warm and comfortable. However, it started to get loose stitching and threads very quickly after wearing. Now along the zipper placket there are a couple spots where stitching or the "looping" has come undone and there are loose threads. It looks kind of sloppy.

Wishing the range, colors and quality of your men's clothing, such as this full zip waffle sweater, were available in smaller sizes. Gave this 3 stars because, since it's too big, can't buy it to find out for sure.

Though I was looking for something not-too-warm, I could not get past how heavy it was for the little warmth. It would be the heaviest of all my jackets but the least warm--just too weird. I didn't love the styling either and the wrist cuffs just slid down over my hands. I REALLY liked that it was cotton and it was, generally, nice--just not for me.

The zipper base mechanism does not meld perfectly so be careful and make sure the zipper is engaged before pulling it up.

The lack of half sizes hurt my comfort with these slippers. I am a 8 1/2 with one foot bigger than the other. I ordered the 9 wide. It's just too long. I'll be OK when I learn to walk differently when I have them on. I'll have to more or less shuffle. When not walking the slippers are extremely comfortable and warm.

returning sweater, it fit ok, however, the zipper had very sharp edges, enough to scrape the fingers. While trying on, you also feel The sharp edges on the neck line. Weave of material is loose, could feel a breeze through it.
