This is pretty light weight for a puffer. Quality and fit are excellent. Love the gold zipper on black material. Just wish it was one more level up in insulation.

Ordered a medium and the overall fit is great. The gold zippers are also nice touches with the grey color. The major drawback with this jacket is that any insulation is basically non-existent. Overall the jacket is fine for fall weather, but don't expect it to be very insulating or very warm.

Jacket looks good. Lining is soft and feel good. Not as warm as I expected; When temp is below 35 and outside for more than a few minutes, I need to wear sweater. No inside pocket.

Just ok. For a puffy coat, it could have been puffier. You get what pay for - price was right. Size as advertised.

Nice jacket. Too tight and short, even the tall size.

Generally too snug to fit anything thicker than a dress shirt underneath

Great jacket for the money. I like the warmth and fit. For my personal taste it's a good looking jacket too. My only gripe and why I may start looking for another jacket are the HORRIBLE pockets. I'm not a fan of the button closure but that is not the issue. The issue is that the pockets have NO insulation. When your hands go in they are behind the jackets insulation. So far so good. The problem is that any air that gets in the bottom of the jackets instantly freezes your hands. The only thing covering your hands in the jacket is a very thin layter of the outer material. Since there is not a tie at the bottom of the jacket air drafts are constantly hitting my hands when walking.

I bought this in gunmetal grey and it looks more blue than grey. Also the stomach area is much larger than in other products I've purchased from this brand. I have no gut so it looks silly on me.

I waited 2 months to receive this jacket, so the anticipation was sort of killing me. My first thoughts upon trying the jacket on are that it's a good quality/well-made jacket. Solid YKK zipper. Jacket wasn't too heavy or too lightweight. It is not "slightly fitted" as the description states. Shoulders and chest fit pretty normal, but the mid through bottom of the jacket where it sits at the waist is pretty wide. It'd be great if it tapered a bit or had a cinch to make it a little more fitted at the bottom of the jacket. The last feature I feel is lacking is some sort of inside pocket by the chest for wallet/phone/keys.

I bought this because I loved the classic look of it and wanted something warm for our California "winters." Like another reviewer stated, this had room for quite a beer belly that someone of my size wouldn't have. It's a strange roominess in the belly where I can fit a palm length (6") in there, even though the rest of the jacket fits well. It says it's for light activity to 40 degrees but I've been cold in it with a t-shirt and a Polartec fleece layered underneath while sitting still in 50 degrees. I'm a bit disappointed in both those factors but decided to keep it to avoid the hassle of returning. It's bigger than I'd like and not as warm but will work for certain situations and I may just have to layer a fleece-lined softshell under it at times. It's got the extra room for it.

I like the jacket probably would be better if it were fitted loose at the bottom so the air rises up thru the jacket...the jacket has a great look but should have a better fit to make this one an excellent jacket.

I'm almost 6'1", ~225lbs, and generally a 46 chest. Buying the XL proved to be too large...in several areas. I'm in the process of exchanging for a large. I tried the coat on with a light sweater underneath, and while the description says it's somewhat fitted, that's misleading. The chest is okay, the arms are maybe a touch too long (and I have longer ams), and the bottom is ridiculously large. It actually looks stupid on me. I'm definitely not thin (more athletic shape (for a 44 yo), broad shoulders and comparatively narrower waist), but I imagine this would only fit appropriately on someone with a considerable gut. It is bell-shaped on me. I'm hoping the large will be just right, if a little tight in the chest.
That said, the construction of the coat is exactly what I'd hoped it would be... not shiny like most puffers, just heavy/warm enough for the early part of a Chicago winter, and the color is great (light hickory).
If the large fits correctly, I'll be sure to update. Right now, I would recommend if you are aware of the sizing.
Incidentally, I also purchased the Airlight Knit Full-Zip Hoodie in large, and that fits perfectly.

I t was just delivered minutes ago. Great fit through the shoulders arm and chest. I really like the jacket but am considering returning it because it really needs an elastic drawstring or some other way to cinch the waist in. Unless you have a beer belly plan on getting a draft up under the jacket. Also it does not have a 2 way zipper so it bunches up when I sit in the truck. Both are features I would consider standard so did not think to look for them on the features of the jacket.

What can I say? I have the older version of this jacket with zip pockets and a chest pocket for earbuds, phones me etc. as well as brand name insulation. This has none of that. Looks like LL Bean has become LL Boo!

I love the looks of this but the functionality is poor. Two slash pockets on side are all the only pockets it has, they close with snaps that feel like the coat is going to rip everytime I try to open them. If you don't snap them things are always falling out of wide open pockets. Needs a breast pocket and inner pockets like most of the other bean jackets. Also order a size up, they run small. The item purchased online exchanged in store, the staff at Paramus store was great as always!

The coat is cut for a slim frame. I find it uncomfortable most of the time.

Jacket is very light weight, probably best in spring or fall when there's just a nip in the air but not for cold days. I always buy extra large tall and they fit me well but this coat fit tight and harder to get on. It is a fitted size but supposed to be only fitted in waist, not chest. I did return, still waiting for my refund. Going to try a different jacket.

The jacket is lovely but the fit was tight than the usual X-Large. We had to return it for a completely different cut.

In the last couple of years, this is the forth different jacket with elastic sleeve cuffs I have tried where the sleeves are at least an inch too short. I wear XXLT, and am 6'6".
Whoever is sizing the sleeves on these is doing a bad job. Because I have EB tall jackets don't have this problem. For that matter, I pulled this jacked on over an LLBean pullover sweater/sweatshirt type thing, and the sleeves were notably shorter than it. In fact, I have several long sleeve LLBean pullovers where the sleeves are fine.
But otherwise, seems like a great jacket. If it would just fit.
So my rating reflects the fact that I would not call this a tall.

I ordered this jacket for my son because he liked how it looked in the catalog.
We were disappointed when it arrived.
Item is thin and flimsy
A size large ( his usual size ) was way too small.
We returned it

I was looking for a coat that would be suitable for winter. This jacket was much thinner than I expected for the price. Probably fine for a cooler spring or fall day, but not something I would wear when temps get below 40 degrees.
