No hood but very good in the recent east coast zero degree weather. Also, it fits well under another outer layer.

I ordered a Large, Tall, and that's exactly what I got. It fits perfectly. If there are any drawbacks it's the lack of a pocket or your phone. Seems an obvious oversight.

Great lightweight jacket and just what I was looking for. Quality is great. The only thing I would change would be adding zippers to the front pockets and not the single button

Wish there was an inside pocket for my wallet. Otherwise it's a good fitting jacket.

Great overall jacket
Pros - reasonable price, very lightweight, rugged zipper, fashionable
Cons - not the warmest of jackets - almost too lightweight, and only 2 pockets - no inner or chest or sleeve pockets

Warmer than you'd think, great visibility on bike on cold days, collar is a little higher than you might want if you're not cycling in the cold.

One of the reasons I enjoy LLBean products is the attention to detail. No hanging or lose threads, use of metal zippers, seamless seams, etc. There are a few things that should be improved on to make this purchase perfect. It needs an internal pocket, it's outer pockets should be zippered or snap closed. The bottom of the item should have a draw cord.

The coat is light weight, however a fleece lined pocket and collar would have been great.

Nice looking jacket and the tall sizes are great. Could be a little better quality and more fitted than it is. This is definitely more of a spring jacket than a winter one and I don't think you'd want to be on a "mountain" with only this to keep you warm. Side pockets need to be reconfigured and having zips installed instead of snaps would greatly improve this jacket. Still, at 6'6" there aren't a lot of good looking jackets to choose from, so it's great in that way.

The Mountain Classic Puffer Jacket was nicely styled and the quality was what I expected from LL Bean. It could have used a bit more insulation in my opinion. I'm 5'10 240 lbs and the jacket was a bit snug between the shoulders. Comfortably room elsewhere. Overall a nice light coat for fall and not so cold winter days.

I love the Carbon Blue/Grey color. Soft to the touch and a great weight for early fall in the northeast. It does run a little long on the arms and wide at the bottom for me (5-10, 175, M). I wish it had fleece line pockets too.

The mountain classic puffer jacket is a very nice but I wish if the outside pockets where made with a zipper instead of clipping buttons and also on the interior of there is a one or two pocket's to put in wallet or anything like cellphone
Overall Good quality

I have this jacket in size Small (I'm 5' 2", 105 lbs), red/orange for visibility and a matching vest in taupe. I use them for Detroit Winter walking/biking. Everything about themthe colors, layering fit, lightness/warmth ratioare excellent for me. However, I ding them a star for missing the zippered side/chest pockets and waist drawstrings of my other, more useful LLB outer garments. Snapped pockets are better than none, but far easier to lose things such as gloves and masks.

Overall I like the product. Inside pockets would be very nice if they had them.

Fit perfectly. Seems to be very good quality. I have only worn it a few times in Savannah and it was a bit light for the below freezing mornings and perfect when the day starts around 40.

Surprisingly warm. Light weight. Looks good. The shoulders are a bit snug (and in a perfect world it would have an inside phone pocket). But still a favorite--wear it all the time.

Great jacket, but very lightweight and runs a little small in size L compared to other LL beans.

Bean's take on the puffer jacket is great - lightweight and packable, plenty warm as the colors/logo are nice.
There are 2 significant misses:
1. No interior zipper chest pocket
2. No elastic drawstring sewn into the hem (and there is the perfect hem to house one)
I will enjoy wearing it an hope next year's model addresses the lacking areas.

Made in Taiwan, I really dont care, still think the jacket is good quality, if you are not a skeleton, order a size up. Shoulders and under arms small, length is great.

Having a Mountain Classic Puffer Vest, which I love, I was really looking forward to owning this jacket. The jacket is well made, light and warm. It's not the workmanship or quality, which is top notch, that's a problem, it's the sizing. Although it's described as slightly fitted, there was plenty of room for my old man belly, however, the jacket was tight in the shoulders, which made it uncomfortable to wear. Sadly, I returned it as I knew it would end up hanging in the closet. Love the look of the jacket and was disappointed that the sizing just didn't work for me.
