great jacket-only problem are the pockets. Would have preferred zippered pockets

This is a nice jacket for cool days in the fall, early winter or spring. Its not quite warm enough to wear in the winter.

Was sized at least one size smaller than other LL Bean coats that I own in same size. Very thin insulation, at best am early fall, late spring weight coat, at least for mid-Atlantic region.

Nice light weight jacket, not enough insulation for coldest days. The zipper is a bit finicky, LL Bean should swap it out for a heavier closure.

Good light weight jacket ideal for running from house to car to store. If you are going to be outside for any period of time I would recommend a mid-weight layer, at least, under it!

This is a lovely lightweight shirt jacket but is not a "Puffer," and I think LL Bean has misleadingly labeled it as such (the photo also makes it look more substantial than it actually is). It has no discernable fill, really just a shell with a whisper of insulation. Great under a heavy fleece in 30-45 degrees or as top layer for 45-55 degree windy day. But it's not a winter coat IMO.

I got this to travel in inclement weather. It's perfect for under a rain shell.
Since, it's primarily for travel, it would be nice to have a stuff sack with it.

Jacket is light and comfortable, just what I was looking for in a medium warmth jacket for fall. It can also be layered up for colder weather.

Just a tad snug under sleeves which restricts ease of movement. It looks nice enough, though.

I like the jacket its perfect for spring and fall walks. I wish the jacket had either an elastisized waist band or a draw string to keep the cold air out.

So my guess is its plenty warm. You folks are in Maine. I'm very happy. I had thoughvthought it would have a bit more airy fluff. Or I just like sentences too.

So far, so good. Light jacket, warm jacket for spring wearing tee shirts underneath. I believe adding a vest underneath in cold winter months, it will also be warm enough for the Buffalo, NY winter weather.

Prefect for late winter early spring. Lightweight but very warm and blocks all wind. I wish the fit was a bit more slim, but that comes down to my body type.

I bought this for my husband, and he loves it. The cut and the fit are just right. The quality is good.

Was not well described. Great jacket and want to keep and will but is very light weight and had I known that before I bought it I would not. Picture makes is look like it is loaded with down, actually it is not at all. On plus side, it does breathe well.

I did return the jacket because my husband didn't like the snap pockets- he wants zippers. Nice quality and color. Seemed like a good 3 season, lightweight jacket.

4 stars because overall I like the product. However, it is not very warm. Don't buy if you're looking for a coat or heavy jacket. Though I admit it does look like a coat. I use it more like a "winter" windbreaker and it's great for that. I like the fit and style and overall quality. Just... don't expect much warmth.

The jacket is very nice, does the job against cold weather. I wish the pockets had zippers and also that it had small inside pockets to put a wallet or a phone. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase .

Nice lightweight jacket for going to your car, work and to the store in cool temps (30's+). Not a good option if you plan to spend an extended period of time outdoors in winter temps below 30's. I would describe the fit as slightly fitted. Not slim, or too large fitting. The color is more blue, than grey. The picture fails to show the true color of the jacket, although the true color is a nice looking bluish tone. I did not give this coat the 5th star, because there is no good pocket for your phone and wallet. Only hand pockets. Whether you going for a hike or going to the store, outerwear should have a pocket for your device, standard.

Was looking for a jacket to wear when it's too cool for a windbreaker but not cold enough for a down jacket. This one seems to fit the bill.
Be aware, that this is a very simple jacket. The front pockets are kind of shallow and there are no inside pockets. The jacket is fitted, with no give whatsoever. So you may want to size up if you prefer a looser fit.
But other than that, it's pretty solid and looks great.

Same as other comments, not real warm, lacking details that would improve overall quality. More or better insulation, flannel or fleece lined pockets. The gunmetal color looks nice, people always look at the LL Bean label on the front!
