Although this shirt/jacket was well made, it was too heavy for spring/summer wear. Also, it was too long for my short body. I returned this purchase.

This was said to be your roomiest fit, but it was not as roomy as some of your older most roomy shirts of the same size. Also, the picture showed a straight bottom hem, but it came with a shirt tail bottom hem.
Also, after it was washed the corners on the pocket flaps and collar corners curled up and don't lay flat.
But the fabric is very comfortable and I kept the shirt. But it does make me think twice before ordering another roomiest fit shirt. It's too bad because in past years I could depend on the LL Bean sizing to be true.

This is a well made shirt with a decent weight fabric. It would be such a fave if not for one thing. The collar points should have buttons. When the top button is open on this shirt, the collar flares out wide and looks sloppy. If the points were buttoned down, the collar would not be so open. You could easily fix this design flaw.

The material is a little heavy but I guess it is denim. I ordered a petite size.

The buttons are wrong for denim. They are very difficult to button and unbutton. Also, having eight buttons looks strange. The material is a lightweight denim and washes well. I would recommend this shirt if the buttons are changed.

This is a nice quality denim blouse that did not shrink when partially dried. However, the double pockets, along with the washed-out light color, really dresses down an outfit when worn as an overblouse thus limiting its use for me. It is perfect for very casual wear. Overall, I am getting a little bored with LLBean's shift in recent years towards more casual outdoor wear. I would like to see more tops with prints, etc. that would make them a tad bit dressier. I find I am returning more items due to inconsistent fit, shrinkage and frumpy style. Plus, the logo in the chest area is a no-go for me.

This is the lightest weught denim I've ever seen! I'll keep it, but I won't buy another one.

It was cut too narrow through the shoulder area. Returned for a larger size and I'm still waiting for the replacement so can't really review until it comes. I have no idea when that will be.

This shirt was a bit thicker than I thought it would be. It felt like too much material. That might change after I wash it???

I bought this shirt especially to have a covering for my arms when walking on these early cool mornings. But buttonholes not big enough! I could barely get them open and there's no way I can button this shirt while walking. This is the second or third button down shirt from Bean that I cannot open or close. Seamstresses should always test that the button goes through the hole easily. I know. I used to sew!

No Pockets. The fit was fine. Material fine but no pockets. If a shirt or a jacket pockets are necessary. Simply not what I needed. Sent it back

Unfortunately the fabric was a bit to heavy to hang nicely so I returned it. It was in my wish list for months so I was sorry to return it.

Brighter/ more intense than previous order of the same shirt, collar and placket don't press well, but it's still a workhorse of a shirt. Bought a size larger to allow for shrinkage.

This was a weird purchase. Great quality denim. Well made. Except...not a relaxed fit 3X at all. Very snug across the shoulders and upper arms. Disappointing as this shirt is quite pretty. The other odd thing is the shirt was stinky when I pulled it out of the plastic wrapping. I hung it up to air out and the odor went away after a couple days. Had it not been for the snug fit, I would have kept this shirt, odor and all.

I've had this shirt for over a year, and I love it except for one thing: the pocket flaps.
Chest pockets are a handy place for a pen or pencil, but I tried to use it for that purpose, and the flap became permanently deformed. I've tried ironing it repeatedly, but it hasn't helped at all, turning a really great shirt from a favorite garment into one that annoys me every time I wear it. Even though it isn't new I'm going to try returning it.
I hope you'll stop putting flaps on pockets. Thanks!

Good quality but it was huge even though the Bean measurement guidelines suggested M.

I love the fit of this shirt but unfortunately the odor of the dye was very strong and did not wash out. I had to return it because of the pungent chemical smell.

The buttons are too big for the button holes. It's a struggle to fasten the buttons and I don't have any arthritis. The fabric is good quality and the fit is good. I'll use it unbuttoned as a layer over a t-shirt because I like it a lot. It can be buttoned, but it's a struggle. Unbuttoning it is difficult too.

Very nice looking demon shirt. It was returned because neither I nor my husband could unbutton it. Don't know whether it fit since I couldn't put it on,

This shirt had an odd fit - neck is HUGE - and it's difficult to button. I have a lot of Bean button-down shirts in the same size and this one just doesn't fit as well. Fabric is okay, as is the color, but all in all, it's not what I'd come to expect from L.L. Bean.

I purchased 2 of these shirts. They are beautifully made and fit well, but smell HORRIBLE coming out of the package, like human sewage. I have washed them several times (first time they made the entire wash load smell bad) and the smell is starting to finally fade, but wow!! If I hadn't been waiting for a replacement for the same shirt purchased 25 years ago that finally wore out, I would have sent them back. I've never had new clothes smell like this. What's up LLBean?
