Stylish, well fitting shirt. The odor was terrible. It did not go away. I repurchase it in a different wash with the thought it was one stack that smelled like that but it next one did, as well. I will have to return this one.

Nice color. Width is normal. Short length a bit short. Sleeve length WAY TOO short!

Beautiful shirt, nice fabric, but a bit snug in the Large, petite.

The arms and shoulders were narrow. I bought this shirt because the catalog indicated they had pulled it out of their archived, so i was hoping to replace the one I still have that's threadbare. Unfortunately, this one constricts movement. There's no way this is the old design. I still have one. It fits. I sent this one back.
I'm sad.

I would have given 4 stars if it fit me.
Well made, substantial denim. I bought 2 sizes. 2x was too small in the shoulders, the larger one was just too big and too long. Bummer for me.

Good fit but the color was darker than expected. I like the sturdy fabric for gardening especially around prickly things. Reordered in the lighter shade

Had a very strong horsey odor but if not for that it would have worked well

I was happy to see Bean offer a plus sized medium weight denim shirt although the color on-line was lighter than it turned out to be. (The catalog picture was more accurate.) The shirt seemed well made, but it was too large in the shoulders and the armholes were so large that there's was a quite a bit of excess fabric under the arms. All in all, it just looked sloppy. I don't think that going down a size would have worked because it would have been tight across the chest. I ended up returning it.

As usual with anything LL Bean, the quality is here. My first drawback was the weight of the denim. I could look past it, but the arm length was just a tad too short. Overall, it was good, with thought put into design, but I didn't want to compromise on something I wasn't 100% on loving.

The shirt took over 3 months to be delivered. Delivery was delayed at least three times. The quality of the shirt is acceptable but the price of $59.00 seemed a bit too high.

It was almost impossible to unbutton the shirt. You will be able to wear it as an open jacket or over blouse, but not buttoned.

I was on backorder for this shirt and was really excited to finally receive it. I am so happy that LL Bean has started offering some things in women's clothing (not just pants) in tall sizes. But this shirt, unfortunately, was a miss for me. It fit fine everywhere but was quite tight in the shoulders. I saw that somebody else's review that mentioned the same problem. I am not wide-shouldered by any stretch of the imagination so I'm perplexed why this didn't fit me properly. Otherwise, it's a nice shirt.

It is pretty but..
I bought a M which fits except in the back shoulders, it's tight. A large would have been to large. I like denim and the color is very pretty. I would have returned it but it is to late. I'll wash and see if that helps. Your sizing is always a problem for me.

Just okay. Washes well etc. but wish it was a big longer and a tiny bit more fitted.

I bought this as an overshirt, or to wear for a little warmth over casual dresses and skirts. The fit is nice but there are odd gussets on the hem at the side seams. This makes the hips flare out, or makes it bulky to tuck the shirt in

It's a great shirt. Well tailored, durable. Nice fabric. It was just repeatedly back-ordered. Took months to get.

Sized well but the fabric is thinner than denim shirts I've previously ordered from LLBean. There is also an odor in the fabric particularly when wet

This is a nice shirt. The weight of the fabric is nice - a little bit lighter weight would be nice though. I got it in the lighter wash and the color is great. I would give this 5 stars if it was more fitted and less relaxed. It looks a little dowdy as it is too boxy. It needs some princess seams.

So many reviews said this was such a soft denim shirt, but I do not feel that way. It may get softer after it has been worn and washed a bunch of times. It was not so much wrinkled as it developed flipped up corners of the pockets and collars, and the bottom hem wrinkled and curled. That was just the first wash as recommended prior to wearing. A denim shirt is a "work" shirt, not a silk dress shirt and as such, I do not expect to have to iron it, just to wear it in public. I will keep the packaging for this shirt just in case I decide to return it.

The shirt is as shown and well constructed. The fabric is heavier than I expected or wanted, so shirt was returned.

I have a Bean denim shirt that is 15-20 years old that I love and wear a lot. I was waiting for a new one to replace it, for when it finally wears out so I was excited to see this shirt. I purchased the small, same size as my old one. It fits overall, EXCEPT when I reach out my arms, there is a pull through the upper back and upper arms. Not as comfortable as this kind of shirt should be. So I compared the old one and the new one. Same in the shoulders. BUT the old one has a pleat in the back at the seam of the top section. Makes all the difference in whether it is roomy enough to move around. Sad to have to return it.

I was excited to get this, but the sizing has changed. Petite XL was always my size. I have many relaxed fit shirts from Bean in this size. Not any more. Way too tight across the shoulders. I sent it back.

Shirts are well made and heavier than denim shirts I've had. (I ordered expecting this since other reviewers had noted it. But I do wonder why LLBean doesn't offer a lighter weight version too?) They washed and dried well with a good fit and I expect they'll last a long time. My complaint is about the bright white tag seen on to the inside button placket. Why? It certainly stands out & grabs attention. (Would be better if gray or black.) Is the point to attract people to below my hemline trying to see it's an LLBean? Or to wonder if I patched a hole with whatever I had on hand? Or let me know I've got something stuck to my shirt? Dislike them so much I Will not wear the shirts until I can pick out all the tiny stitches holding the tags on. And if I can't do that without tearing the shirt I'm returning both shirts. If I'd seen these on the pictures I wouldn't have bought in the first place.

Just received and must return. Initially thought it was snug in the hips which I could have alleviated by not buttoning bottom button. However, it was also tight through bust. Additionally, thought the sleeve length was long for petite. Cuffs are always huge. Not sure who they are designed for. Petite people usually have shorter arms and smaller wrists.
